Re: JD (Fire Island Legs) Original reports said, "Red toenail polish on only one of the feet." Later when the reports went to NAMUS and or Charlie Project, Jason Project or Porch light they began to say red toenail polish on both feet. BUT, IIRC, TS posted the original Newspaper stories and they specificallly noted the red toenail polish on only one foot.

Yes I remember that. According to TS, if I remember correctly, his cousin had the original article in some kind of scrap book/album all these years. Hmmm can we sleuth WS member's cousins j/k :floorlaugh:

The Only way to really keep track of all of this is to put it on paper. Make a chart or something. Although I have not done that, it would probably help me keep everything straight in my brain and probably from embarrassing myself by asking the same questions.

Whatcha trying to say? :slapfight:

(That's a slapfight smiley. You can use it if you want to. C'mon, you know you want to.) :floorlaugh:

I am trying to say that if I would write stuff down and keep it organized I would probably not have to ask questions that have already been answered. Maybe I would even see a pattern that I would not other wise. I am not making coded insults at you. If I wanted to insult you I just would. I dont hold punches or hide them.:truce::truce::truce:

Two strangled men, two dismembered woman. 2000 to 2003.

I'm very interested in the Mushroom Hunter who found the body of the male but did not report it for nearly two weeks.

It should be noted, Jane Doe '00 had a tattoo but suffolk won't release it. (although Fitzpatrick is still withholding the image of a tattoo located on the female victim for verification purposes if they ever get a call through Crimestoppers"

Jessica Taylor was identified by her tattoo. I wonder why Jane Doe's case is being treated differently? LE explaination does not make any sense.

Fitzpatrick does not want to release the image of a victims tattoo. Why didnt Dormer override that decision? There has to be something about the tattoo that LE does not want the general public to know about.

you know whats weird and is something i never thought of? Fitzpatrick hid the tattoo from the public, and yet on Jessica Taylor who was dumped three years later in almost the exact same spot, the killer slices up her Remi's Angel tattoo real bad. The sliced up tattoo is eventually used to id her. Why mutilate her tattoo? In a way, mutilating the tattoo probably led to her identification. If the killer hadn't touched the tattoo, Fitzpatrick most likely would have done what he did with Jane Doe 2000's and locked it away forever, sealing jessica's fate to never be discovered. But because the killer sliced it up and gave it so much attention, Fitzpatrick figured it was a clue, releasing it which ended with Jessica being identified. Pretty interesting!

Linsay, You said if Jessicas tattoo was not mutilated then LE may have not released it. Im starting to think that jane does tattoo was also mutilated and the ME could not restore the image. In a case like that LE may keep that to themselves.

Thats def possible, but why release JT's and not JaneD's if they were both mutilated?

I'm reposting here:

Hi Rachel & Josh here, some of you may have read we are partnering with Tricia & Websleuths on a docu-series covering 5 unsolved serial killer cases. LISK is one of them and we would like to work with websleuthers in helping to identify the Jane, John, and Toddler Does connected to the case. We definitely understand there's been a lot of time and energy put into this already by websleuthers and the community, we're hoping to inject new energy into identifying. We will have a access to wide television audience who in additional can hopefully help.

I'll be posting to the threads for the other identified, please don't be shy... contact us. We are looking for some lead websleuthers to work with us as well, please reach out. Already we've heard from a lot of you on LISK and other cases. It takes a village!

Best,
Rachel & Josh

This is the Jane Doe's Namus entry: https://identifyus.org/cases/9680

It lists two ruleouts:

Sandra Sollie 1955 New York
Colleen Voitik McHugh 1963 Illinois

Under physical/medical, it confirms what is quite obvious from the sketch, that her nose had been fractured and healed.
