I am with Tuba on the issue of JVM. Yes, she is a shrieker- maybe I am immune because I came from a LOUD family- I don't know, but while it sometimes grates on my nerves I think she can be rather levelheaded and logical. I agree with her on a lot of topics. I will see for myself what she has to say and if it adds anything of value to what we already knew about the CM. Wait and see, I guess... benefit of the doubt.

One thing I ascertained about her refilling the gas cans in SLC, it was the cheapest gas for all of the rest of her stops (3.859 there and 4.099 in Winne. and Sparks, and more even in Redding, 4.499. So she was being economical and thought that out ahead of time too.

I still haven't figured out why though, she spent $48.25 on gas in Redding before returning the rental car on empty, why didn't some go into the rental? They must charge an outlandish amount per gallon to refill the tank, that makes no financial sense.

Another realization; in the sitting shower pic, the reflection on the lower part of the shower stall seems awfully red, maybe she was wearing red, I checked the selfies she took on the 3rd and sure enough, she's wearing a red blouse.

So they did the sex tape earlier in the day and then she sent the 'Steve' text to him "accidentally" and they argued through IM and text? I didn't know both occurred on the same day.

The angry exchange of texts re: Steve is exhibit 448. The date and time stamp start on 5/10 around 2:30; IIRC this is UTC so converting that to local time (PDT) would be 5/9 around 7:30 pm. Looks like the exchange took place over 3 hours.

For clarification, the Steve texts came before the sex tape.

You know, I know Jane is getting a bad rap about this book, and I can understand. But have been watching her talk about it on HLNtv.com and there's some pretty interesting new information in there.

Like, we knew that Jodi followed Bobby Juarez across state lines and began dating Matt McCartney to make him jealous. But I did not know that Bobby was also afraid of Jodi, just as Travis was.

I also learned that some of the sex acts Jodi described Travis described to his friends as well and, needless to say, they did not go the way Jodi says. I learned that he described her as a nympho was completely obsessed with sex, which I definitely could see, but it's very interesting that he explicitly told his friends this. It is interesting that there is another side to the story with some of these incidences when we thought we would never hear the other side, Travis' side.

It really sheds more light on the whole situation and I hope juror 18 is hearing all of this. He wants to believe Jodi only became unstable when she met Travis which is far from the truth.

He's all over it like it never happened? I'm getting ready to call baloney (again) on that sex tape date, who authenticated this stuff???

Airfare to Mesa for Travis's memorial service. There is a $28.00 charge listed just below it which appears to be airport parking.

JM did try to mislead the jury somewhat with the whole Priceline/Budget car rental reservations and credit card charge. From what I can gather, online car reservations through Priceline are cancellable at any time and the credit card is presented to the rental agency when the car is picked up. Martinez was trying to discredit CMJA's story that she made online reservations because the cc statement should have shown Priceline, not Budget. It would only be Budget if she had bid on a car and her bid was accepted; then Priceline would have billed her, not Budget.

To resolve: Arias was forbidden to use the internet after her conviction but as we know, she is nothing if not devious. She uses a proxy, whom she contacts by phone or mail, to contribute her content to a website in her name. Comes now the book club and in the light of the detailed and rather lengthy reviews she offers, she is using USPS to transfer them. Phone calls are a difficult challenge but jailhouse mail is not private, staff reads what goes in and out. Since she is defying the sheriff's internet prohibition by going round it and since the mail to and from Estrella is processed very slowly, staff could monitor content to ensure it is not flouting and violating the sheriff's order. Word for word, her reviews are plastered on the web in her name. If she & her correspondent assert she is merely sharing her thoughts with him, it is easy to prove that is not true~a snapshot of her letter and of the review once on-line. She is breaking rules expansively and deserves vigilant monitoring where this can be halted in transit. Arias is a hugely bad model & example to other law breakers, including the inmates she's housed with. (I can hear a Newton-John theme in the background, "Let's Get DE-vious!")

Is it true that she gets unlimited daily phone calls from the jail? I mean, limited only by her "one hour a day" in which she may or may not opt to include a shower? Could she talk to one person for a full hour everyday? Or is she limited in the actual number of daily calls? Are they monitored? Thanks!

I went to the Man Who Knows. He has phones available for inmates to call out from 7:30 a.m. to 10 at night. No incoming calls are permitted. Arias is limited because she only has the one hour outside her cell per day. She may take very quick showers. A couple of centuries back, spit & a handkerchief served for clean-up. Yes, the unlimited number are also monitored.

I doubt it. We wait for weeks and weeks for a hearing only to be told at the last minute that it won't be televised. The Judge and lawyers talk for a while and the meeting ends with the Judge saying 'Next status hearing is on....'
The end. I'm not expecting this hearing to be any different! I don't expect the trial to start before the new year.

I don't think it will be that long. I guess it depends on how long it takes to get the record transcribed. But I am thinking end of sept? At least I hope so.
