His was a Sony DSC H-9, if that helps any. I'd love to see a pic (back esp.) of a Sony card from the '08 timeframe, it sure would help us figure out the stick(s).

You did better than I, I joined about a week after finding this site, this case grabbed ahold of me (and my mouth) and still hasn't let go. lol

Mine looked a lot like the one on the wiki page. I'm at work right now but tomorrow I can look around & see if I can find the camera & ill post a pic of the memory card if I can find it. And I started reading here with the Casey Anthony case but decided I had to join when jodi had her circuis going on. Haha

And I guess it's possible that the washer caused the memory stick to come out & then the micro card fell out as well. I'm not sure what condition everything in the washer was found, but just trying to piece things together.

I'd like to believe there was only one card ever but I can't reconcile the pics of both of the camera cards. I went to Sony support and got this page that lists all the compatible cards with Travis' camera (Sony DSC H9):

As we can see in this pic (rotated to the right) that it's a black stick, and not one of the larger, longer ones:

And even if this is showing the backside of the stick, it's not a Sony stick:

And as far as I can see, the Sony sticks have no jacket. For me anyways, the mystery of the sticks remains.

I've never seen a picture of a black stick in this trial. The one on the washer looks blue on my computer. I don't know how you can tell it's not sony from the back. I guess that's where one of the problems lie. That one on the washer looks blue to me. And I've only seen in court the blue one.

When do they show a black one? Even the duct tape was shown on screen, even though they never linked it to anything. I don't think JM would have made the mistake of not figuring out where another stick had come from.

If it was a stick with an adapter, that would have come out in trial when JM was asking all those detailed questions about how to operate that camera or how Melendez was finally able to read that card. It could be possible, but to my recollection, Melendez mentioned nothing about having to fit it into something else when he was talking about the steps he went through to find something to read it on.

This kind of reminds me of the two bath mats debate.

I've never closely looked at the evidence pictures until just now & so far every picture I've seen all look like the same card, just from different sides/angles. The photo quality & positioning I think cause them to look quite different from each other but as far as I can tell (and this is just my opinion) the only card in or on the washing machine was the blue one marked as evidence.

This case is making me reconsider going to law school...jodi is absolutely exhausting! Lol

For the longest time, I thought that the blue memory card would not fit into Travis's Sony camera until I found this:



The page above is taken from the Sony Cybershot DSC H9 user manual. It clearly shows that his camera did not use the longer proprietary memory stick. Also, the camera did not come with a memory stick, so he would have to have purchased one. Thus, it would make sense if he had a Sandisk memory card, which typically are blue in color.

I got thrown off thinking that the blue card was too chunky for the Sony. Also, the evidence photo of the camera card made it look like there was a black memory card as well. Now I think that this is due to lighting.

It's hard to imagine a memory card being accidentally dislodged, even in a washing machine. I'm wondering if she purposely had the cover for the battery and memory compartment open.

"When using a Memory Stick Duo with Memory Stick compatible equipment...." but above says "You cannot use a 'Memory Stick' with your camera" so it's not compatible?

It still sounds to me that the Sony Duo is the only card that fits this camera.

I watched this trial again, start to finish, and I'm now of the impression that Jodi and Travis probably didn't have a relationship anything like Jodi portrayed. I heard something during ALV's testimony, and I can't remember exactly what it was now, but it made me think that Travis and Jodi didn't have a committed relationship in the terms that normal people consider. ALV was explaining it on cross as if it were "kind of like" a commitment.

I also decided that Jodi did not break up with Travis after that trip to New York and Disneyland. He probably set her straight about their relationship after she'd gone through his phone, and he probably told her they needed a break and nothing was going to happen between them because he was looking for a wife, they lived in different worlds, and they needed to cool down. Next thing you know, she shows up in his city with no job and barely a place to live.

"Who does that?" as JM said many times in closing. Who moves to a city with no real place to live and no job--the same thing she'd done to Bobby. And I recall that after her breakup with either Bobby or Matthew, she ran back to Victor in South America, even, but he was already married with a family. She tried to make it seem so innocent that she'd gone back down to stay with the international Arias family, but it came out that it had happened right after one of those breakups. She probably couldn't figure out a way to stay in the other country, so she had to come back.

The way that Travis had been so sorry for taking up DeAnna's time to find a husband makes me believe he would not have been leading Jodi on while he was going after other women, but Jodi was the one who kept trying to change his mind. She was the one showing up in the middle of the night offering herself, and after a while, he probably told her that he couldn't keep doing that because it was going nowhere. But not getting sex anywhere else and having her there on a platter, he probably gave in a few times.

Also in listening to the sex tape, we understand what he was pissed off with Abe about. I can't remember what year it had occurred in, but when that drunk woman was on Travis, Jodi got mad and she kissed Abe. It's very clear from Travis' viewpoint. She did it where Travis could see it or she told Travis that Abe kissed her that night to piss Travis off and get even for how he was with the drunken woman.

It's also clear from the sex tape that her way to see him again was through this sex video and these sex pictures they were going to take. He says in at one point that he'd take a picture laying down with his penis sticking straight up in the air. Well, we saw that photo on June 4th. There just might have been rope because he'd said he'd wanted to tie her up in the sex tape. I don't think it was used as she described--if it had been used--but I'm sure she was hyping him up to try to do the video they'd been discussing on 5.10. I believe she had the video in her camera when she left, too.

I thought that Dirty secret movie about this was wrong and over the top when they made it as if Jodi had sent him pictures or something of her having sex with another man, but maybe when she found out about Mimi or when he decided he wasn't coming to see her before the cancun trip, maybe she did have sex with someone else and tell him or send him something. Why else would he suddenly say what he said on 5.26 about being nothing but a dildo with a heartbeat and hurting and betraying him?

I want to know what this was about this "dire conversation" he was referring to.

Oh, one more thing. She'd texted him 2/08, asking for a well-deserved butt pounding--"just kidding." Why write "just kidding" after that? Because she knew she wasn't going to get one because he'd stopped doing stuff like that with her. In fact, wasn't his answer, "Or we could just cuddle?" If Travis had an active sexual agenda with her, why say that? That text was what, 2 weeks after all the crap happened with the car and FHE--where she lies like crazy about what had happened that day. I need all the texts and to build a text-message timeline.

I went back and listened to Sky's radio talk segment last night, too. She gave a lot of perspective to what the relationship was like.

Sky said it was about January 2007 when Jodi showed up at their house unannounced to talk about Travis. This is the conversation that led to Sky and Chris emailing Travis about how he was treating Jodi. So up to that point according to Sky, Jodi had never been to Travis' house and I assume he hadn't been to hers--well, except maybe the baptism night if Jodi was telling the truth about that.

In Travis' email responses to sky and Chris arguing at him about Jodi, Sky said he'd indicated that he'd only seen Jodi like 5 times. He said he was still getting to know jodi so he could decide if he did want her as a girlfriend. So even if he were minimizing, I can't imagine he'd seen her more than 10 times since meeting in September of 2006. So that was 4-5 month time frame, depending upon when in Sept they met and when in January Travis spoke via email about this.

I'd say that if they'd only seen each other about 5-7 times since they'd met and Sky's house with kids in it was the meeting place, there's a low likelihood that all this sex was going on. Maybe grinding. I don't know if Jodi's hotel-Sizzler story was true, but I guess I'd need to go back and try to document the amount of times they'd seen each other in that time frame to match up to what Travis said.

My point is, before this email, Jodi had come to sky's house on her own and had admitted to hacking into his emails as earlier as Jan 2007. They'd only known each other 4 or 5 months and seen each other about as many times, according to Travis. How could she have become so damned obsessed that quickly?

Also worth noting, she was living with Darryl around that time, and I believe the penis picture was supposed to have been sent in December 2006. Someone let me know if that's wrong. So while she in his house, she's falling for another man. It's reasonable Darryl sent her the penis picture at the time to try to get her back with him. Thoughts?

Okay, and thanks, her not being able to set her phone time right sure confuses things. It's just so weird that he'd mention the tree tying in the text argument and then use it during phone sex the next day and neither sounded like they'd spoke about such a thing before. Sky and Chris say that's how he was. He'd treat an argument as if it had never happened, and he was apt to believe Jodi's lies--even over Chris and Sky's words. So if he was like that, and she was able to convince him that this Steve person wasn't really an issue, then Travis probably went back to his original pattern of thinking. If she's not having a sexual interest in Steve, then Travis can go back to his sexual fantasies without worry. Does that make sense?

I feel you that the sequence sounds weird, but I don't know why JM would like a hearsay date into the trial. But here's a text, I'm assuming 5/2/08, where he's talking about the sex pictures he wants to take. It's possible--if JM didn't authenticate the date--that the sex call happened 5/2 after this text below. It would make sense then that Travis would be angry after 5/9 and talk about his stalker to Regan on 5/17 (right?).
