Yep. I see that too. IT is a shame in all these pics there is no reflection of the gun or knife.
But one hand should be holding the camera, so two extended arms should not be visible. Is this logically correct?
I am hopelessly challenged spatially, but it would seem to me that if the reflection of the flash was towards the center of the picture, shouldn't the image of the person taking the picture be centered as well?
I think it's a reflection off the shower door she's moving towards as she's taking the picture (and the camera also photographs Travis behind the door), I don't know if that makes a double reverse or what, I'm sorta challenged that way myself. I always have to check which is right and which is left by moving a hand. lol
Wow, excellent photo Geevee - you rock. I see her, and it's very creepy! I'm just guessing, but if what I believe to be the camera is the camera - it looks to me as if she was holding it kind of low, probably tilted a bit upwards (maybe while she retrieved something?). As I look at it, I keep seeing the outline of a knife in her hand - but I think it could be a strap around her neck from the camera (which if she was wearing, and Travis wanted to do her harm, he would have used to if nothing else, leash her, and at worst choke her - but we know that didn't happen, because he did not harm her).
Also if she had the camera strapped around her neck, she wouldn't have dropped it. Maybe she didn't ever drop it?, maybe she took those unintentional photos while leaning over, or in attack mode? - maybe put it in the wash thinking it would get rid of...well, whatever had gotten on it?.
Maybe she intended to take it with her, when she left - but had to rush out of there fast, and couldn't wait for the wash to finish, because the roommate returned (I do believe she intended to make the bed (which is why she washed the sheets), but ran out of time.
I'm suddenly getting a new reason for that screen to have been out of the window on street level - could she have parked nearby, and scooted out the window in haste, hearing the roommate, and having locked everything else up tight?
I'm also thinking she stood off center to avoid reflection of the flash in the glass of the shower door - I'm no photographer, but I know when I try to take a picture out my window straight on, all I see is the flash.
CM, surely would have known that, being the 'professional' she was.
Love the color enhance on the photo, but it's making me think way too much about actions I don't think I will ever understand - my brain hurts!
Scoot over Dana, I never make sense! :floorlaugh:

I am sure these questions have already been asked, but I am curious about any details that might be available on the day of her arrest ...
1. Does law enforcement know more than they are saying about her destination?
2. Was she trying to flee - heading to Canada/Mexico?
3. Why the gun and other weapons hidden amongst the books
4. Her Father's interview revealed that she said she had to leave?
5. Has more info been given by "the parents" that hasn't been disclosed?
6. Why did the parents not testify on her behalf in the mitigation/penalty phase? (I think there was a risk of being charged with something like "covering up evidence" etc.)
And on other areas ...
1. What do they have on Matt M.? Something to do with those magazines that she was trying to smuggle out of jail through Ann Campbell?????
2. Where IS MM ???
3. Does DB know more than he's revealing about her personality? I think he does ... he is a very weird dude. Maybe it's the way he speaks .. icky!
I'm sure there are no answers or any information out there to answer my questions, but maybe at the end of this ordeal and she is put away forever, there will be more information released from the Court.
Thank you so much for this thread Geevee. I have unanswered questions too. Like the ones you mentioned, and others too. But, as far as the gas can fill up after the murder, I was intrigued by that too. Part of me thought for a moment that maybe she had someone with her and filled gas for that person too, or maybe they met there to dispose of weapons and both needed gas, or maybe she had thoughts of going somewhere else, or maybe she was delerious by then. Also, the part of the trip after she saw Ryan seems odd too, when you look at how long it took and the stops she made.
Look at the upper right quadrant of the pic, see her taking a pic and moving her other hand to the shower door?
Of all of the shower photos, this one to me most of all contradicts her stories for taking the shower pics - Calvin Klein style shoot (none remotely resemble that), - Got all buff and wanted pics for his Cancun trip ('umm..who took these pics of you naked in your shower, Travis?' might anyone ask after viewing them), but this one is just the picture of resignation:

It was only 8 seconds before the full face shot.
Since this shower scene is eerily similar to the Psycho shower scene do you guys believe that JA forced Travis to strike those poses? It's much too similar to be a coincidence. No way that Travis voluntarily did it. He's not going to happily pose to recreate the Psycho shower scene out of the blue like that. He wasn't on good terms with JA and had an important meeting later that evening. Does it make sense that a boy who was not comfortable taking any photos in the shower would want to recreate a frightening movie scene? Nuh uh. The poor boy just wanted to take a shower and get on with his day!
Absolutely. A grown man like Travis is not going to voluntarily sit down in a small shower so a woman like Jodi can take unflattering photos. It's the look of fear and resignation. Not too much of a stretch to say this as seconds later he was being stabbed.
The gas cans in SLC, I think she really did just fill them up to save money...you know, her penny-pinching ways as she said on the stand, "coupon-clipper," etc.. I imagine wouldn't gas be cheaper in SLC than in California? The other things...like weight of the cans would cost her more gas and danger of that much gas in her car...I don't think she thought about those things. She's not the brightest bulb in the pack. I'm surprised she didn't do better in school, because she doesn't seem very street-smart....and yet she's not book-smart, either.
I too, like others have said, am very curious as to what exactly she did with the murder weapons. Would she have disposed of them before Hoover Dam, in case she got stopped and they searched her car? Or did she throw them both in a dumpster somewhere after Hoover Dam?
I don't believe she forced him too. Looking at the enhanced photo I think she just had him do different thing. There does not appear to be a knife or gun in her hand at that point.
I think he was just going along thinking she would be gone soon and that would be that.
If she wanted to save money she would not have filled them all up in ca. No one carries 15 gallons of gas in their trunk to save money. A heavier car uses more gas plus you are creating a bomb should you be rear ended.
No this was absolutely to cover her trip to Mesa.
I am coming to the conclusion that filling them all up in SLC after leaving Ryan had to do with disposing of the weapons. She didn't need gas in the cans, even if, for the sake of argument, that Winnemucca was the only place to get gas after SLC, she knew she could make it there, it was a shorter trip than Pasadena to Mesa, and she made that with what was in the tank.
But she told Juan that 15 miles outside of Winne. the low gas light came on and she searched on her phone and found the closest station was 15 miles away, so she put gas in the car from a can.
But when she gets to Winne. she puts 12.175 gallons in the car, one transaction only. He uses it to establish how much gas can fit in the tank but also showed that had she put any from a can into the tank it was extremely minimal because she only drove 15 miles and could still fit more than 12 gallons in the tank.
I say that she went from SLC somewhere to dispose of the weapons, used some can gas for burning the clothes and nearly ran out of gas getting back on her route outside of Winnemucca. Otherwise there is no reason on earth to carry a smelly bomb in your trunk in the summertime. In the desert.
Weapons must be west of a point between SLC and Winne., or around the Great Salt Lake - had Travis and she ever made a trip there? If she actually did call a gas station in Winne. the ping could be used to pinpoint which direction she was coming to Winne. from.
