Wondering if it's possible her unhappy marriage had an effect on her? Possibly no longer having a desire to play dress up. It's also possible that she became one of those mothers who focuses a lot of her attention on her young children and then sort of "lets herself go" or decides that outfits and outings are no longer her priority or her thing. She's an outdoors type of woman.

I understand that the Princess Royal lives very frugally and does not like wasting money on clothing or hats so she recycles stuff she has had for decades. It seems a bit crazy to me to do this but have a gas guzzling Bentley that is lucky to do 20mpg.

I'm horrified to think of how she is going to behave at the wedding. She's not a mean or selfish person, she just seems very absent minded sometimes; speaks without thinking, gets excited easily, poor money management, overly trusting, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if she has ADD/ADHD. I'm not trying to mean, I just think it might be a possibility. I did like the outfit she wore to Harry's wedding. It worked well with her body type.

The Duchess of York is going to be in her element as Mother of the Bride back in the fold of the Royal Family. I understand what you mean about her personality.

Foe some odd reason I am having a terrible time getting on WS and now I cannot use my like button.

Sherwood Park and gregjrichards I wanted to like both of your comments. Your comments were made very tastefully and I agree.

Thank you everyone else who has made comments. I appreciate them even if I agree or disagree. Sorry I cannot like your comments right now.....maybe I can tomorrow.

PS...I do not think the problem is WS....we are investigating that some one is using our router illegally.

It probably is WS, actually. There are a lot of issues on WS being discussed on the “Welcome” thread that Dave the tech guy is addressing. Here is a link to his post explaining why the fixes are taking so long.

MsJosie, before doing anything major on your end, go to the above thread, there are major issues taking place. I’ve had my devices checked out, all my diagnostics were clear.

And same applies: if you don’t see my likes or replies it’s due to the site issues.

I wouldn't be the least surprised if the trouser suit that Princess Anne wore to the swan count a few pages back was a recycle from back in the day.

Edit: Meghan, that navy dress works beautifully. More of this please!

I can't wait to see the Duchess at the wedding. Something to look forward to!

Article comparing the fashion of the Duchess of Sussex and the late Wallace Simpson.

Meghan Markle is not, of course, the first glamorous American divorcee to fall in love with, and utterly enchant, a member of the Royal Family.

Meghan, who grew up in Los Angeles, was married to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2013, before she met Prince Harry at the age of 34.

Wallis Simpson, who grew up in Baltimore, had divorced U.S. naval officer Win Spencer and was still married to her second husband, Ernest Simpson, when she met Edward, then Prince of Wales, in 1931. She was also 34.

Finally! I like this look for the newest royal.

Denim is definitely a bit of a risk for her new dress code. Also love the heel detail on the nude pumps.

I hadn’t even realized it was denim! That’s what I get for skimming. Yes, a bit of a risk...a little casual, but maybe fine for charity polo. I’m still not a fan of dark blue on Meghan, but guess I’ll deal with it. :D

Yes, it is denim, and this is a fabulous dress, and fit, and color on Meghan. And the girly bows on her shoes are great, too.

I love denim dresses, coats, shirts and skirts, more than jeans which are perfect when worn on the youthful figure but just doesn't cut it after a certain age. Imo

It's also a very American material. Maybe it's the matte of the blue colors, but it's very flattering on most everyone.

Back in the 60's girls fell in love with Levi's, boys jeans... Our secret was to bury them to stonewash age them. So much work! Then in the 70's a boutique in my town carried Sisley Jeans from Italy, really chic, gorgeous with beautiful orange stitching. And then of course designers like our Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan made great fashion with denim.

Some more fun pictures...

Bride-to-be Princess Eugenie has taken time out from her art gallery job and wedding plans for a very important meeting at the UN headquarters in New York.

The royal, 28, hosted a meeting of key stakeholders on ending modern slavery around the world, and was joined by her proud sister Princes Beatrice at the important event.

Eugenie looked smart for the occasion in a high necked floral dress, teamed with black court shoes with a studded detail.

Eugiene looks nice. Not a fan of Beatrice’s dress it looks matronly and ages her.

Well, when the Royals do give rare interviews, it's not to Channel 5 so they've nothing to lose. ITV and the Beeb just can't afford to be blacklisted.

Well, we actually got a new router....and from what We can gather we were being “piggy backed”. At 1am I was given a notice I was over my bandwidth! Only one on the internet was me. It appears “somepeople” we’re playing games/surfing and there were too many on our router at the same time! We do not have a paid limit on bandwidth for month etc. Nw we are trying to set it all so this is a test...

Thanks for the link I will go read Dave’s posts. had issues with other sites so that is not all WS.....needed to help set up.

Those hoping to catch the wedding of Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank in the comfort of their own homes will be disappointed. Broadcasters BBC and ITV, apparently, will not be airing the event, which will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12. A BBC spokesman tells me: ‘We are not planning to televise the wedding with the BBC’s live events coverage.’ While ITV concede: ‘We’re sending a small crew up there to cover arrivals.’
