I dislike her dress. She is so cute and thin. Why such unflattering clothes?

Yes, I didn't like that dress either.

Not a fan of this dress for a summer wedding....at all! She really needs to brighten up her colors. I assume it was navy and I just don’t think it’s a good color for her...again. Is her fashion consultant friend in Canada in cahoots with her family to sabatoge her? Just kidding, but it’s puzzling.

Lilibet, I was wondering about sabotage too! I mean, I get that as a Hollywood actress she can command the photogs more than she might like at a wedding of one of Harry's best friends. But jeez, I don't think Catherine would've worn that whole look.

But there was one photo in that link of Princess Eugenie and it was more of the snoozefest. lol.

I was also imagining today how Meghan would be dressing if she had Princess Diana to consult with.

Well, those girls have worn some very unflattering clothing and Fergie was known for it. Frills and curls and bows, do not suit thicker bodies.

No, I don’t think Catherine would have worn something so dark. Nor would Diana. I think/hope Meghan will come into her own at some point. She was probably trying to be low key, but it just didn’t flatter her IMO.

Princess Eugenie and her fiancé were wearing matching pale blue and cream. Boring. I rather liked her colorful clutch as a surprise bit of color, and I think the unfussy lines of her dress looked nice on her.

I have to say, I loved Daisy’s wedding dress and veil. She’s adorable. Riding off on the bicycle was priceless.

LOL. Thick or thin, frills and curls and bows don’t do much for anyone past childhood IMO. But I agree that a thicker body needs to avoid them. Those two girls generally pick overly fussy styles. I hope Eugenie’s wedding dress is understated.

Even though she had a beautiful figure, can I say that I hated Diana’s wedding dress? Those puffed sleeves!! To this day, when I see a photo I can’t imagine what she (or the designer) were thinking.

Diama’s dress was hideous. I read it was supposed to be large because the cathedral is so large and a small dress would have been too small.

I saw Fergie’s dress at the wax museum in London. It is gorgeous with all of the embroidered bees.

I saw Diana's wedding dress (and other of her gowns) at Althorp House. It was beautiful in real life. Exquisitely made, gorgeous fabrics. Her wedding shoes were hand-signed in gold on the soles by the shoemaker.

I’m sure seeing it in real life would be different. How wonderful to see other gowns too! I just didn’t think the style suited her and I didn’t like the way her veil mashed down her hair. She didn’t look comfortable to me, but of course, now we know more about what she was dealing with at the time. :(

I’m glad it looks lovely in real life. On television it looks like a taffeta parachute that completely overwhelmed her. It was probably the style in the 80s though.

It is a real shame Princess Diana is no longer with us not only for her children, grandchildren and charities but I bet she would have looked amazing and still a style icon in her 50s.

Meghan Markle and her father are planning to reunite in secret in the US later this month, friends of the Duchess of Sussex have claimed.

Prince Harry's wife will take a solo trip home to America to see her estranged father Thomas Markle, according to the Mirror.

The 74-year-old former lighting director is said to be 'delighted' about the potential visit from Meghan, and is 'keeping two dates free at the end of the month'.

The meeting would be the first time the former actress has seen her reclusive father in several months after he pulled out of her wedding in May, citing health concerns.

It is very decent of the Duchess to do this after everything that has happened. I just hope he doesn’t go on Good Morning Britain the day after to discuss the meeting and he does the right thing by his daughter and Son-In-Law. He hopefully has Grandchildren to look forward to if he behaves appropriately.

I wonder what Samantha will say now.

She's currently enjoying a hiatus from official public duties during her summer break.

But the Queen made a rare public appearance on Sunday when she stepped out for a church service at Crathie Kirk near her Balmoral estate.

The monarch, 92, looked resplendent in a cream wide-brimmed hat adorned with roses and a blue jacket with eye-catching gold buttons.

I don't believe it for a minute. I believe he is setting her up to fail.

She has been said not to be going to see her father at all. So what he's doing now is the rags saying they are going to see each other, and then after she doesn't see him, he will say he is very disappointed and get more time in the media.

That's my opinion!

I actually loved Princess Di's wedding dress. It was so over the top fairy tale. My apartment mates and I got up at 4 or 5 in the morning to royal watch the wedding and this image in particular relays that take my breath away moment as she entered the church. The soft ivory color was so perfect for her flawless English rose complexion.

Of course, there is such sadness to learn much later on how unhappy and uncertain she was just before her wedding.

I totally agree! Meghan's dress feels too corporate. Too, funereal! Even a white hat to rhyme with the skirt would have lightened it up a bit.

She's a feminine woman who is uncomfortable in feminine dresses. I think certain women feel more empowered in trousers, like Kate Hepburn. Meghan is one of those women.

And yes, she needs to lose the housewife of Toronto stylist. Gobs of make up, plastic fantastic face, and tubular tight dresses with stilettos, cookie cutter look needs to go!!!

The ultimate 'Fake News' IMO

Jessica Mulroney is setting her up to look foolish and awkward.
Everyone knows, even in Toronto, that summer weddings require floral or colourful, lightweight dresses. Possibly a jacket or bolero.

Hubby and I saw a collection of Dianas' dresses when they were on tour at the Design Exchange and her wedding dress was fantastic. Very 1980s, beautiful fabric and trim.

Its only when you see the gowns, you realize how tall Diana truly was......a beautiful English rose. <sigh>

When we occasionally see her sisters, its hard to believe that Diana would probably resemble her sister Jane.

I love the part about TM “keeping two dates free at the end of the month.” Like...you’re soooooo busy Tom? Filling your days with interviews? Maaaaaybe you’ll be able to squeeze in a visit with Meg on the two days she’s available?

I don’t believe a word of this and I think TM is planting this story so he can play disappointed Dad when it doesn’t happen. Meghan would be a fool to trust him not to tell the press (or lie) all about their reunion, complete with photos taken secretly.

I wonder why the RF does not bring the family and friends of Meghan to the UK for the visit. Seems like that would be a better idea instead of flying her and the security detail to the US. I believe this trip is really for other purposes and seeing family and friends is a sideline to the real purpose of the trip.

Jessica Mulroney is probably the worst stylist I have ever seen if she is truly picking out Meghan's clothes.
