I agree, Meghan is a beautiful woman who photographs well. She's so petite. I think black stockings would have helped with this outfit because her shoes look a little mini mouse to me.

I love this messy bun. It's looser. Would love to see her natural curls... Sadly, it's not en vogue. Wrong decade. Maybe the 80's will come back!

Looking at the pictures of the evening, I've never seen Harry looking happier. And Meghan looks radiant.

I hope Meghan doesn’t wait for the 80’s to return. She is now a trendsetter and can claim her natural curls any time she wants and it will be the next big thing. There is actually a ”movement” toward natural hair in Britain and Meghan could lend her considerable influence to encourage it.
'Our hair is part of who we are'

On the other hand, there are a multitude of factors motivating women of color to relax their hair, not the least of which is ease of care and variety of styles, as this article points out.
Hair Alteration Practices Amongst Black Women and the Assumption of Self-Hatred

It is a complex and sometimes politically fraught subject as this article explains.
The Hatred of Black Hair Goes Beyond Ignorance

A little googling has been quite informative and I’ve learned things I didn’t know.

Whatever Megan does with her hair is up to her and I’m sure she has given it a lot of thought, since she is biracial and socially conscious. But I still want to see curls. :)

I was going through the grocery store line the other day, and one of the headlines was that Megan is present pregnant with twins! LOL

A treat at the end of the article is Harry singing two words of King George’s song in a video at “Hamilton.” And his heartfelt speech.
What a good sport! It's not as if King George is portrayed as a hero in the musical. :) Harry is a charmer.

So the rumors that Meghan made a trip to Canada were indeed true. Good for her.

Gosh even I have really nifty trellis patterned tights, Meghan could borrow mine!

The trellis pattern is important to obscure the veins. For me, not the Duchess, of course.

Lilibet & I have the same kinda legs. Shiny white, mine with veins.

Trellis patterned tights sound neat. Meghan may not have veins (yet) but most legs need smoothing and help covering “imperfections” in such a short dress.

Somehow I “neglected” to mention the veins. :p

The temperatures in TO last week were 'feeling like' over 104 degrees.
I'm sure they stayed inside the Mulroney air conditioned home.

I only went outside with the dog for 'business breaks'.
The humidity was just awful, like trying to breathe through a wet washcloth. ugh

Nylons, as I call them, were spun by the devil. If it is cold out, ok, but otherwise wearing them in warm temperatures, horrifying.

Does anyne inow when Harry turned over the new leaf from wiod party boy to mature darling?

So very true. Used to get looks from my employer when, in the mid 70s, I would come into work bare legged wearing Birkenstocks. Summer relaxed look.

Meanwhile, in Denmark....

I can see how both Brigitte Macron and Princess Mary would want to wear red as it's a Danish color - the flag is red and white. I always assumed "your people will talk to my people" type thing when it come to attire at public functions to avoid situations like this, but guess not. Each outfit is fine, but together they don't look good.

From the photos, I'm not sensing a close and easy rapport between the two women. Relations look a little stiff, don't you think?

My favorite look is Brigitte's orange suit. Love it. Though it's a bit short, imo. It would look just as good a tad bit longer, to the top of the knees instead of a few inches above the knees. But - it's a great outfit and somehow she has avoided "aging knees." And, she knows how to have a little fun with her clothes. Even a monochrome look can have some spunk to it.

Not sure about the rapport thing, but this is the best I've seen Brigitte look--I've been embarrassed for her in the past. She must have a new stylist.

Whoa! I love this! It has a video at this below link of the guards.

"Aretha Franklin is being laid to rest in Detroit, in a ceremony attended by legendary musicians and a former president. In the U.K., the Queen of Soul was also honored on Friday at Buckingham Palace, where a military band played "Respect."

The palace's famous changing of the guard took place just before Franklin's funeral was set to begin in the U.S. — and the Band of the Welsh Guards, which provides music during the ceremony, took the moment to honor her."

Aw....I didn't expect this, but that video brought tears to my eyes. Music sure is a wonderful way to bring people together, across cultures, time, distance.

RIP Aretha.

SWEET!! I’d love to know who came up with this idea. Love it!
