When William and Kate were married I was living in Bangkok and a few Brits and Americans had a wedding party at my house. I made tiaras and wedding veils out of tulle (even for the two dogs) and we ate cucumber sandwiches and drank gin and tonic.

Hi everyone. I am totally shocked. Just found out about this site on the thread discussing the new software. I had no idea that Websleuths would cover something positive like this. This is great. I follow the Duchess Kate Blog and Mad about Meghan maintained by Charlotte who lives in England. I am up waiting in anticipation and will watch on PBS or BBC since British as I'm not fond of the other commentators on all the other stations who will be covering the event. Now I need to play catch up on this thread or threads.

I sure do enjoy Websleuths and am not looking forward to not being able to use from Monday morning until ?Wednesday.

We're starting to wake up now in the UK, 7.45ish, wonder if Meghan is awake yet and already being polished and pampered? Weather still forecast sunny and 21 degrees. I can't emphasise enough how lucky they've been with the weather, anything could have happened.

A little glimpse into the glamorous life of Princess Anne https://www.express.co.uk/news/roya...-Princess-Anne-Windsor-Mia-Tindall-bridesmaid
visiting Bovington tank museum where a lovingly restored WWII tank has been re-named in her honour. :happydance:

I did not and could not have made this up.......

Sadly Mia Tindall will not be a bridesmaid, she is so cute, but Zara and her husband will be at wedding.

I am sure Meghan is awake getting her hair/makeup done, or at least having some facials or something right about now. :D

Uugh. I decided to just stay up since CNN is covering it, but I’m so exhausted!!! Lol. Maybe I’ll take a 3 hour cat nap

The colour scheme I would pick for the outfits:

Brides dress in white with lots of gold embroidery on the bodice, medium flared skirt. Satin rather than lace. Tiara in gold, set with amethyst and citrine. Gold cross on a chain.

Bridesmaid dresses in a rose gold colour. Page boys in either olive or purple velvet jackets and cream breeches/britches.

Final few guesses : Think Queen may go for silver/lavender outfit.

THE dress will be fitted at top to waist then elegantly flare out, could be a pale ivory rather than stark white. Soft and satiny with beaded, embroidered areas, possibly on a fine chiffon over the main fabric, perhaps some silver thread and bugle beads to give a subtle sparkle. Shortish train, well I hope so as apparently Meghan is walking part of the aisle by herself with all those little ones? As I recall George ran over Pippa's train at her wedding, hope someone is supervising the kids (probably Charlotte).

Praying for a tiara for the history although just flowers can look lovely, would love to see the Strathmore or Spencer tiara but not sure if this is Meghan's style. Hope she does go for a fairytale, romantic look rather than being too clean cut and classic.

Prince Andrew will look rather grumpy.

I sure will since Websleuths is the best. Thank you all for the welcome. I'm presently watching the royal watch repeat on pbs. It's been a good program this week with Meredith and the other British people who have been on. I love all things British. Most of my ancestors were from England, several from Scotland, and one branch from Ireland. I'll be present but glued to telly.

It was the favored one I had heard. And indicated on the royal watch on pbs. (I wanted Windsor).

So far I only see Washington Post on Youtube livestreaming the event. Nothing has started (and won't for a few hours), they are just showing the grounds/crowds/security etc.

Watching BBC, the chapel is looking stunning, exterior decked out with flowers and foliage with the lawns looking lush and blue skies and sunshine. Huge air of excitement and glee.

Good morning, lovely peeps! My alarm was set for 5:00 but I awoke at exactly 4:30 (Eastern). Happy to join you here on this gorgeous royal wedding day in London. I will go back and forth between CNN and NBC (TODAY).

The Spencer family is there. They are very nicely attired, although I'm not a huge fan of Kitty's green dress.
