I would love to be a fly on the wall in Windsor palace to hear what the royals and staff are saying.

TMZ.com now has a photo of Samantha in the hospital, although it does not show her knee or ankle in the photograph.

I agree with Piers Morgan for the first time ever. The Markles are the in laws from hell and they will now have a global media platform to embarrass the royal family every time they want a cheque from the sleazy tabloids. If the British establishment is half as sinister as the Diana conspiracy theorists think they are, members of the Markle clan may be meeting with nasty accidents on lonely roads over the coming few years.

I didn't read the DM article but I did follow the link here to the GMB interview with Samantha, and I agreed almost as much with Samantha as with Piers. I can't believe he can stick up for tabloids that way and accuse the victims of the worst tabloid behavior. All those accusations of Samantha and the family and he's sitting throwing stones from a glass house! He's there for a huge media network that's making money off Samantha's interview while demanding to know how much she's making from her tenuous family link to Meghan. Disgusting on both sides.

I am happy, cos I found a video on YouTube of a 3-hr long video of William and Catherine's wedding that is up under the Royal Family's own account and the date on it is the same date as the wedding. So hopefully I can watch it Saturday evening with a glass of something sparkly (no, not champagne!)

“Meghan Markle's father is alert and out of heart surgery, it has been revealed.
Thomas Markle, 73, underwent surgery on Wednesday morning following a heart attack last week.

Mr Markle told TMZ that doctors implanted stents in his blood vessels.
Meghan's father revealed on Tuesday he wouldn't be able to attend the royal wedding because of the surgery.

Mr Markle revealed this week that doctors planned to 'go in and clear blockage, repair damage, and put a stent where it is needed' during the operation”

I wonder if they could show him the ceremony via Skype instead of watching it on tv which is kind of impersonal.

Glad his surgery went well. I feel sorry for the guy, he didn't ask for all the pressure. Another article I read said news reporters had camped out in the apartment next to his and have been following him everywhere for weeks. I hope he recovers comfortably and the news media leaves him alone.

Good point. Six of one, half a dozen of the other type situation.

When the Guardian contacted ITV’s early morning programme to ask whether it would be using the Dooleys as contributors, despite trenchant criticism from its host Piers Morgan of the wider Markle family’s relationship with the media industry, a spokesperson said: “The Dooleys will not be contributing to Good Morning Britain’s coverage of the Royal wedding.”

Are the Dooley’s planning to crash the wedding? Good luck getting past the anti terror police.

I can hardly keep up. I thought there might be the odd embarrassing moment but I never imagined that some of Meghan's family would try and make her a laughing stock just before her wedding. Do they really not realise how crazy they all seem to people over here? I have a bit of sympathy for her dad but none for the others. Much more of this and I will have to break out my "special" pills from my cupboard.

I had a quick read of the latest from the half-brother (who let him into the country!) and he says now he's walked around Windsor and spoken to people he realizes all about the history and how much it means to people. Bit late now, I don't expect Americans to understand all about the British monarchy, why should they, but what did he think it was about? Some sort of reality tv show? Did he really need to be advised not to speak to the press, isn't that obvious? The British monarchy is certainly more relaxed now but it still stands for certain values and dignity and is part of our country and heritage. Admittedly some members of the Royal family have crossed the line themselves at times so they don't need any help from others! Apologies for being an old sentimentalist but they've really spoiled what should have been a fun happy run-up to the wedding.

I'm counting on Doria to save the day. I understand about women being independent and walking down the aisle but this is a pretty long aisle and I think here it would be seen as odd, especially with all the family shenanigans, as if Meghan couldn't rustle up someone who could support her. And confident as she is I find it hard to believe that all this hasn't affected her and she will probably want her mum by her side. Fingers crossed.

It would be nice for her mother to walk her down the aisle I think. Those of you who have suggested that she walk down the aisle alone as an independent woman are maybe not thinking how much of an ordeal that would be for Megan. Its not just her wedding day, but she has to be conscious that there's cameras on her broadcasting her every move live to 200 countries across the world. I think she'd feel very lonely making that long walk down that aisle on her lonesome.

Her mother is the sole member of her family who has behaved with any loyalty and any class. Let her mother 'give her away' or more accurately let her mother support her in front of the global media.

It would also be nice if Charles walked Meghan down the aisle. It would be a nice way to welcome her to the family and show support and send an unspoken message that they don't hold her responsible for the behaviour of her relatives

You guys are killing me here  So maybe mimosa's instead of tea? I hope things settle so they can enjoy their day. What a hot mess.

I really hope the Queen can survive all of this chaos. She is the toughest old bird ever but she is in her nineties. And the idea of Charles as King is just awful to me.

I agree. I know I would need to be hanging on to somebody. I would want that somebody to be someone who meant something to me.
