I must admit, I'm pathetically excited about this wedding. My third royal wedding, thank you very much.

My heart is just breaking for Meghan right now. The week before any wedding is so stressful. But here we have a wedding the world will be watching and some of her family members are doing everything in their power to derail it - and her. She must feel so humiliated.

But I believe Harry and Meghan truly love one another and that she will marry him on Saturday with her head held high. I hope she will marry this man and go on to do wonderful things for this world without ever looking back. She owes them nothing.

By all accounts that "sister" of hers has been less than sisterly from the start. She was 20 years old when Megan was born, so normal sibling rivalry is no excuse here - any problems between them, the onus clearly lies with the one who was a grown up when the other was a baby. I've seen people allege that older sis didn't like having a black stepmother, did she not like having a black half sister too?

Megan definitely owes them nothing. I think her and her mother should walk down the aisle with their heads held high and treat the Jerry Springer show coming from the other side of the family with the contempt it deserves - ie, ignore it.

I wonder if the heart surgery story is true

Looking at him, I believe it. But, really, who cares? What he should have been doing all these months since the engagement is trying to get into shape for this wedding. He didn't.

Now, his precious daughter will be married without him even being there, never mind him walking her down the aisle. By all accounts, she's close to her dad. IMO, he's really let her down.

Let her Mom walk her down the aisle. Someone she can count on to be there for her.

Honestly, I don't think it's a race thing. I believe it's a jealousy thing. And possibly a money thing. Meghan has been a success in the USA. It's possible those attempting to bring her down wanted her $$$ and became bitter when they didn't get it.

In any case, she owes them nothing. And the more they attempt to cash in on her, the more she should turn from them.

Normally, I'm not for turning on family but the half brother and sister are just beyond the pale.

I had little interest in the wedding of Will and Kate...I guess they seem so boring and she seemed almost handpicked as far as what would fly as far as commoners go...hardly a risky choice. I remember being interested in Diana’s wedding but only because we were about the same age and I got married that month too...mine too was a short-lived marriage and bad match lol. But even then I found her gown hideous even by eighties standards. Kate’s was elegant but hardly different from any bridal gown really, other than the cost and embellishments. I am hoping Meghan chose something really special and memorable without being OTT.

I want to make myself a little special grazing table for the wedding - any ideas? I'm thinking mini-croissants are a must! And of course some tea. Maybe also a little Chambord <3.

I want reliable proof.

1). Show me the damaged car of Samantha’s friend that hit a wall.
2). How about an accident report?
3). If paparazzi was chasing, where is that info.....I am sure someone would want to sue.
4). Sitting in a wheel chair in any clinic setting does not fly. Show me the cast and knee brace. If she hit so hard she would be in pain....she looks like she is sleeping. Why did she slip to the floor, where is the seat belt? How can she talk in pain? Oh yes for green lettuce.
5) My husband had heart issues much like TM....sorry he was not allowed to move for 24 hours, was not allowed on the phone because of all the machines, and why is he not giving the dr permission to release the info, show the world he is telling the truth and take pressure off himself.....something is off.
6) as for the Dooleys....IMOO they are there to make trouble or figure by invading England some media source may seek them out so they can make green lettuce.

Th Queen, her many aids, know how hard it is for not royalty or nobles to take on such a trip. I bet 100%, that all help was offered, come early, place to stay, air ticket, limo fees, and I am sure Harry and Megan would have made sure money and clothing were available if needed. That would be private affair between family.

Megan’s mom just proved that she had help, limo rides and special check in. People met her along the way. Doria was offered help and took it. TM could have done the same.

Samantha is blowing hot air. Maybe TM just could not lower his pride to accept help....maybe he really is ill, but so much lying puts doubts in everyone’s minds.

If anyone is so sick, why talk to TMZ? More green lettuce

Megan and Harry know what they are dealing with.....I just want them to have a beautiful day and I hope that their friends and the royal family close ranks around them to make sure that happens.

Bless Megan and Harry....have a beautiful wedding day.

I agree with everything you say, but what the heck does green lettuce mean? Not heard that one before!!

Pimms, you don't get much more English than that on a summer's day!! Cucumber sandwiches (with the crusts cut off) and a Victoria sponge cake or jam & cream scones .

I saw the replica of Fergie’s dress at the wax museum. It is beautiful with all of the embroidered bees.

Queen Elizabeth was very beautiful at whatever age she was made into wax.

An aside, the Beatles had horrible teeth.

If I recall, her father was never, originally, planning/invited or expected to take part in the wedding. Early on, he was

sort of left out of the discussion. It wasn't until the public or media or Samantha Grant brought it out in the open,

that his presence/ unpresence was even discussed. He simply wasn't part of the plan, initially.

I don't believe he was ever enough of a close parent to even be considered in her guest list. Truly estranged. More

than we know, IMO.

Unfortunately the behavior from this side of her family has put all the dysfunction in the spotlight. I think these people

ALL have substance abuse problems, hence the chaos and theatrics seem normal to them. It's just how they live. moo

This was from Meghan on Fathers Day less than 2 years ago. They may have had a fractious relationship at times but clearly plenty of happy memories too

REVEALED: Serena Williams got a text from her father Richard saying he could not attend her wedding just ONE HOUR before the ceremony - so she decided to walk herself down the aisle

Serena Williams reveals on the third episode of Being Serena that her father Richard texted her an hour before the wedding to say he could not attend

'Serena, I don’t want you to be mad at me, but I just can’t walk you down the aisle. I’m not myself anymore. I’m just too nervous,' wrote Richard in a text

The tennis star did not get mad or sad and instead comforted her father, who was going through medical and personal problems at the time

'It’s okay, if you don’t want to come at all, that’s okay too. I’m not going to be upset with you about it, so I don’t want you to be upset about it,' said Serena

'Our family knows what we have. We just want each other to be happy. That’s what matters. I don’t think anything could ever change that,'

This of course is coming just as Serena heads to London where she will watch her friend Meghan Markle walk down the aisle, possibly going it alone as well just like the tennis great.

I don't know if this has been posted but Meghan has some company in a last minute crisis situation before a daughter's wedding. And, her friend Serena Williams will be there for her on Saturday. I broke down when I read how Serena handled it. Forgiveness and understanding is a powerful force and I'm so glad Meghan will have Serena nearby.

I think Meghan is definitely going to need someone to hold on to going down the isle. Her mom would be the natural choice but I think it might be cool if Harry and Meghan walked it together.

Btw, I am loving catching up on this thread. No one does a wedding (or any event) like the royal family. Very excited, and so much fun learning new words from our friends and posters from across the pond!!

I've never heard of it before, but the context suggests it means dollars, aka greenbacks?
