Looking at the photos in the Daily Mail, it looks like Prince Charles is being very kind and considerate to Meghan's mom. He's squiring her around, making sure she doesn't feel alone.

I agree. I was very touched by his attention. I adore Doria, she is lovely.

Very much the gentleman today, Prince Charles.

“Thomas Markle tells TMZ ... "The service was beautiful and it's history. I will always regret not being able to be there and not being able to hold my daughter's hand."

Thomas goes on, "My baby girl is a duchess and I love her so much." He tells us watching the ceremony made him super nostalgic, saying, "When you watch your child get married, every thought goes through your mind, every memory from the first day she was born, the first time I held her."

Meghan's father tells us he texted her today, telling her he loves her. He says he watched the ceremony on TV from his bed, where he's recuperating from heart surgery.

And get this ... he says, "Now I pray that Harry and Meghan can go on a nice honeymoon and rest and relax, and all of my relatives will just shut up about everything."

I wish this would happen but Samantha had a tv crew filming her watching the wedding today so I don’t think she will go away quietly.

Beautiful ceremony. Congratulations Harry & Meghan!

I am a better person for having seen Tom Hardy a couple times in the congregation. :loveyou:

Doria is a very lovely lady, just like her beautiful daughter, inside and out.

I hope everyone had a equally good time!!!

CNN (USA) is rebroadcasting the wedding tonight starting at 7pm EST.

This has been a wonderful thread and TY I loved sharing this joyous day with you all. There wasn't enough tissue this morning, for sure. And I had one nap already...

It was an exquisitely beautiful wedding.

There were aspects i was not aware of. For example Windsor Castle is the oldest castle in the world, founded by William the conqueror. This blog is very classy and excellent with historical details.

Mad about Meghan.

Will there be a lot of hoopla for Beatrice's wedding in October? Another early morning for those of us across the pond?

I have only woken up for Diana's, and the two boys. I have never woken up for another royal wedding, and I don't think I will be for that one

I have never thought he was an attractive handsome man.

But he looked fabulous today!! and he was fabulous with her mother. I was so impressed and it made me glow.

Oh, I'll have to check my on demand for history of castles! The cathedral, or is it too small for a cathedral, idk, but wow, what a setting. What a beautiful church. I loved the streams of light shining on Meghan as she began her journey up the isle. And the flora, the arch entrance, was definitely most spring like, gorgeous and simple.

I’m still basking in the love and joy of this day. What a beautiful dress Meghan wore to the evening party, plus blue Jag, aquamarine ring of Diana’s...lovely, lovely. So far I’m still on my feet despite getting up at 3:00 a.m., but I may crash in a few hours. It was worth it! :heartbeat:
