I like the blue outfit the Queen had on. She certainly does not look to be 92.

Did she do the royal wave in her blue frock?

No sign of Prince Phillip today? I'm sure he would normally accompany the Q on state visits like this. Wonder if he is poorly, or refused?

More about heels!

Meghan Markle ALWAYS wears high heels with Prince Harry – reason why REVEALED

"At 5ft 6in, Meghan is seven inches shorter than her husband, Prince Harry who stands at 6ft 1.

The Duchess of Sussex wears heels to take away their height difference, which can be obvious in pictures, creating an "unbalanced" look when the royal couple are stood next to each other."

That makes sense, but still, lose the stilettos. As a shorty, I find a thicker heel and a hidden platform goes a long way.

Edit: I think Chooky* can pick and choose now he's all but retired.

*Duke of Edinburgh = Chooky Embra in a Scottish accent. It's a fond nickname for him up here.

From the coverage I watched, the commentators said he would normally be the one who escorted a visiting head of state to review the troops, but since he is retired from public duties, that role fell to the Queen for the first time. So, seems like he is retired.

I don't a link handy, but it was Sky News live coverage of the visit.

Chooky, never heard that but love it! At 97 years old I imagine he does what he damn well pleases!!

I checked. He's been retired for awhile, so no surprise he wasn't there today:

He has retired. No more work for the Duke.

Gotta love the Duke. He colours outside the lines ;) Bit of levity (sorry, no link) ... it has been said that when it was announced last year that His Royal Highness was giving up his royal duties, some gentleman said to the Duke "So sorry to hear you are standing down". Philips quick response was (paraphrased) "Well, when you can't stand up you have to stand down"

Who's footing the bill, Meghan? Duchess of Sussex spends huge £155,000 on 15 new outfits since the Royal Wedding
  • As any working woman knows, a busy schedule needs a changing outfit roster
  • In 15 outings since the wedding, Meghan has debuted 15 brand new looks
  • Gone are the M&S jumpers and the little-known, affordable brands she favoured
  • These days, Meghan's wardrobe contains only the best clothes from the world's top design houses: Dior, Givenchy, Prada and Chanel, to name a few

The Daily Mail has it in for the Duchess I am certain of it.

£155k might be the RRP, but I can guarantee a lot of what she wears will be borrowed or cheap. It's the perfect way for a designer to get their name known and instantly sell out a few pieces!

I’ve been feel sick and have read this entire thread. I don’t really follow what’s going on but you all had me intrigued.
I must know do the royals ever wear track pants? Yoga pants? What do they wear when just chilling in their castles?
What do their pyjamas look like?
I need these answers lol.

They must have flannel PJs with hearts and sheep, I think... And fuzzy woobies... Castles are chilly in wintertime.

We know Prince Harry has some Adidas track pants, there's a picture of him wearing some.
Queen Anne's children wear all sorts of clothing we've seen that as well.
I wonder if British people wear yoga pants the way we do here in America, meaning do they wear yoga pants for everything except yoga class. Would Brits be caught running to the grocery store in leggings and T-Shirt on a weekend afternoon?

Oh I have seen worse than that. This is the absolute truth I’ve seen women do the weekly shop in their pjs and dressing gown with rollers in their hair here in Scotland. Absolutely shocking I don’t know why security don’t stop them from getting in. The stores weren’t in bad areas either. It was like seeing a sight from People of Walmart.

I don't believe the RF are allowed to take free clothing to promote a designer.
Charles will be paying for her and Kates clothing from his own money.
The DM is yellow journalism, she has to build up a wardrobe suitable to her position. A lot of bags, shoes etc. will be used multiple times. If she wore something twice this early, there'd be ructions.

I just hope the tunnel story is fake.

The Royal family might be getting a little bigger.

Three months after the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s third child, Prince Louis, rumors are swirling that the couple are considering having another. Sources say the couple want to give Princess Charlotte a sister.

According to Life & Style: ‘They’d love to have two boys and two girls.

Is Kate Middleton pregnant? Sources claim she and Prince William want to give Charlotte a sister | Daily Mail Online

This has got to be DM nonsense/oh yes it is. LOL

As if they would be discussing that at this point. IF they are, its only between the two of them. IMO

It wouldn't surprise me at all, as she was taped/overheard saying 'well, looks like we're having more babies then'. That was shortly before Harrys' engagement was announced. And, if she wants a fourth, Louis and the fourth will be close in age due to her age. Not that her others are far apart, they're not.
Unless you go to a clinic, no guarantee of gender though.

@sillybilly why does my last post #1813 say:

This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors.

Never seen that before? Have I inadvertently got some myself some naughty points somewhere?

Me too...post 1799? Discussing the Queen/Trump meeting. Not political, so not sure what I did wrong. It’s been that way for hours. Not questioning the modding...just want to understand so I don’t do what I didn’t know I did again. :)
