I was asked recently where a person can go to have DNA testing done in relation to a case that the detectives are no longer investigating. Would any of you know a good lab something like this can be done at?
A bit more back story....
A man went missing back in the 80s. His body was never found. A man was convicted for his murder but the missing person's daughter is still wanting to know what happened to her father and where is body is (if he is in fact dead). The detectives refuse to perform anymore testing or investigate further since this is a closed case in their minds. However, some belongings were found that she believes may have belonged to her father and wants to have testing done to confirm it (or to see if any DNA can be extracted from the items in general). Where is a good place for her to turn?
