Private Investigator JJ Armes

I've talked with JJ about my own case, which he solved. He seemed very down to earth, sharp as a tack. As a person, I know next to nothing about him, and I don't know about his strategies, but I am very disappointed. Both in his seemingly attention seeking behavior at Gabe's expense and at the fact that his resources are no longer available in the search.

ETA: Obviously, I am a little turned around right now. I don't want to have to choose a side, and I don't want there to be sides. There should only be one side, those working together in every aspect to bring Gabe home to Logan.

ETA Again: I actually perceived him as someone that was appreciating a life no longer in the spotlight, which is part of why this is so difficult for me.

If that letter is authentic, and I agree that there is no validation right now, it doesn't strike me as attention seeking. JMO.

I do not know the truth of any of this now, but whenever I listened to JJ speak about this case I never felt like he was pandering for attention or seeking the limelight. Maybe I'm crazy in that but it is JMO.

ETA: Totally agree that this should not be about sides. It disheartens me that it seems like it is. 1 person is important - GABRIEL.

No problem at all, Catbird. Looks like drama is breaking out all over the Facebook. We just have to realize that and keep things constructive and focused over here, until we can figure out what's what.

I noticed that as well, I'm really hoping that everything can be can be calmed down and attention re-focused back to Gabriel...

Based on comments recently posted on Gabriel's FB page, it would not surprise me if the letter from JJ is legitimate. Apparently, there were more investigators involved in the case that allegedly received threats from LM's new attorney.

It's all very suspicious and mind boggling.

I don't see anything on there about any threats. Further, if it's the comments I believe you're referring to, that is hearsay, not the other PI himself speaking.

This is just so sad. I have no idea what is going on and I really don't think I want to. All I know is that the chances of finding Gabriel have been decreased greatly. I pray that everyone will just focus on one thing, finding Gabriel and bringing him home.

I'm sure each of us will form an opinion about what happened, kappy. Hopefully people will leave Logan to deal with the situation in the way he feels best for his son, and just keep on searching for Gabe. That's what's important for the rest of us to do - keep on looking for Gabe.

I find it interesting that the person speaking on behalf of Bob the PI says "we", meaning she is including herself (I won't include what she says Bob has or hasn't done), "will" turn over tips and lead to LE. 'Will' - not yet given to LE. Case in point. Not giving tips and leads to LE decreases the chances of Gabe being found.

I can't imagine what it would be like to have your baby go missing, and possibly even murdered, all that trauma and worry and stress, and then on top of that, have these groups of people descend on you like pack dogs to kick you around. I don't know how some people can sleep at night. And it happens on tragic case after tragic case.

BBM I am flabbergasted; has JJA told Logan that he is the only PI the family can or should use? I agree with you that I would do what I felt best for my child, and would probably use all pi help I could get, especially the ones that are very well connected with sources worldwide, have a great success record, and are working due to commitment rather than greed.

As to turning over all leads to LE, if someone provided information upon the promise that it would NOT be given to LE, then turning that information into LE would squash not only THIS investigation, but every future investigation any pi might ever be involved in and quite probably endanger the very lives of people who are trying to do the right thing for an innocent child by providing much needed information. It is a serioius conundrum.
