State AL
County Geneva

Need to get clarification on the height. The one person ruled out was 6' tall. Was this UID a short or tall woman?

Forgive me if this has been posted. I did read but like I said, it's a lot of info.
PMI is "months" 1978-1979 and missing has been missing since 1961. Height is off as is age (only 1 year outside of range). There is also a good distance between the two. I am sharing due to the fact that UID and missing are both reported to have an instep built up in a shoe. Also both reported to have glasses. I'm also far less trusting of the info in some of the older cases.

The missing person here, George Hawkins, has a lot of odd comparisons that have been ruled out in NamUs. The UID UP103 is not on that rule-out list. Since this UID to appears to be one of Amy's cases, it might be worth mentioning.

Good find! NamUs has him listed as Hispanic. My take from the various sources is that he might have been a mix of Hispanic and Native American.
I went down the rabbit hole of researching hereditary solitary kidney defect (Unilateral renal agenesis) by race to see if we could draw any conclusions, but didn't find anything definitive. Side note, adults can be born with just 1 kidney and never know it unless they have medical problems that require x-rays and testing.

In addition to the race issue, the ages reported seem to place him closer to 40 years old. The fact that he was wearing yellow sweatpants seems out of character for a 20 year old, too. I doubt this is Chris Zahn, but it would be great to get him officially ruled out on NamUs.

GJKJR did you add the articles you found to the Keysburg Doe thread on WS? It would be good to do that. And, in keeping within TOS, I think we need to include the source with the article image. (i.e.newspaper/date)
I thought about that too last night, making sure we’re posting to the individual threads! If anyone needs a newspaper article link, I’m pretty sure I have them all clipped and can post if necessary
The use of the term Mongoloid means the conclusion in the ME's report was based on observation rather than through DNA. Mongoloid is used to describe people from Asia/Siberia/Pacific Islands and Native Americans with certain physical characteristics, like shovel-shaped teeth and shape of the eyes/folds in the corners of the eyes.
Seemed kind of specific for just physical observation, but that’s a field I know nothing about! lol... I do have some Mongoloid admixture according to my 23andMe results! Maybe I should get to know my ancestry  lol
For our intents and purposes, I’m going to list his as MULTIPLE w/ a note of the exact possibilities we’ve seen thus far.
Sorry for multiple posts. My brain is all over the place today, so I'm responding to various posts one at a time.

Some overall thoughts:
-Any additional articles info we find should be posted to the individual threads for each UID.
-To keep within TOS, I think articles posted need to include source and date.
-Might want to make a thread in the Serial Killer section for Harry Hale.

The song! Had not heard that in years...good soundtrack for this endeavor.
My brain must be with yours! ;) I concur!
Interested. Page 1 here I come.
May the odds be ever in your favor! :D:p Glad you’re interested!! <3

I think we figured out she’s more likely short. But that’s highlighted for clarification. ALL the UID that are bolded on the spreadsheet do not have threads on Websleuths... some of them (MANdible) I didn’t think would benefit from a thread ...maybe a combined thread for all the random bones? I’m not sure...whatever anyone wants to do with that. But that’s what the bolded rows are.
Awesome job! Feeling overwhelmed so just going to grab a UID and run with it. if anything needs to be looked up, hunted down etc just let me know.
:) Just dive right in! :D

I didn’t catch that about the instep! I’ve been trying to find a match for George because I’m thinking he is in KY... I think this is a good possibility! George was excluded from one case that defied all logic, so I’m a lot untrusting of some of the vital stats.

ETA: George fits this one far more than he did the one they were sure was him! I’ll add him to the possible matches! :)

I might ask for more information on Rosine Doe's case (that is, if they can publicly release it!). I'm really curious about it now actually.

Also, just got home, so I'm going to get some more UID newspaper articles and then post on the threads.

Sounds good! I’m going to spend some time on the threads today... I’ll create ones for a few more, update rule outs (if any) that sort of thing! (Probably end up down a rabbit hole :p) I’m a little under the weather today so it may be a short one for me, but we’ll see ;)

Our best hope with Rosine at this point may be in newspaper articles... it’s so recent. But I’ll highlight her to see what else we can get!

See ya on the threads....

What do y’all think about these? Threads or no threads?? They’re the ones that don’t currently have threads but also don’t have much to go on...

  1. Not Listed 1991 Richmond (Infant found in landfil)
  2. Not Listed 1992 Louisville (“Mary Eve” found in a mall parking lot trash bin - I’ve only seen this in newspaper archives)
  3. UP12696 1996 Warren County (entered only to facilitate DNA processing and analysis, Not recognizable - Traumatic injuries)
  4. UP98 2002 Stanton (MANdible only)
  5. UP110 2003 Ballard County (some info, decent age range, height, but pretty long PMI - but it seems like we may could find more)
  6. UP10353/UP10354 2012 Ewing (maternally related, scattered partial remains, sex uncertain on one, could be 2 people could be more)
  7. UP12249 2015 Beaver Dam (one Unidentified limb with some soft tissue)
  8. UP13915 2014 Rineyville (found in an abandoned building; unknown everything)
  9. UP13064 2014 Carrollton (foot, sock and shoe on Ohio River bank- I did actually find a potential match for this: MP857 - based largely on the shoe description)
  10. UP59143 2018 Winchester (the lonely bone in the cemetery)
  11. UP58056/57/58 2018 Worthville (the stolen antiquities used in a woman’s fish tank)
  12. UP58534 2019 Bardstown (I’m about to make a thread for him)
  13. UP59490 2019 Louisville (unknown everything)

I think we can keep them in the general thread for now--we've got so much else to work on for now. If we finish the ones we have lots of information on, we can bring these out.

Speaking of information--can you ask Amy if there are particular cases or areas of research she'd like to see us start with? I'm dithering around trying to read all of them and getting nowhere, spinning my wheels :p (Did somebody mention ADHD?)

Hahaha! You read my mind!

Yah, I’m waiting to hear back from Amy after my initial inquiries... I quite possibly could have scared her off :D in which case, I nominate you for Project Kentucky leader 2020! LOL

Great idea to ask Amy if there are some specifics she'd like us to focus on. I've been spinning my wheels right down some deep rabbit holes.

I agree the keep the ones with very little info in the general thread for now. If more info turns up, we can always create them.

What do y'all think about creating a thread for these two?

Thank you Claire! I wasn’t sure how to go about creating a thread for Hale! But I’m obsessed too, so hopefully that will generate some leads/connections we may be missing! Because I’m certain there are connections.

I think the two “related” cases and the Bardstown man are the only two left worth creating a thread for. They’re all worth it, but you know what I mean!

I saw this girl just now and something about her reminded me of the two related sets of remains found in April 2012. She went missing in October 2012, but I’ve also seen her age at time of disappearance listed as 13, 14 and 17. Some places say she was last seen in Nashville, TN, others say she may be traveling to Bowling Green and accompanied by an unknown female?
