I submitted Steven Hafer right before I started all this, and if they end up being a match, I’d say the two deaths are unrelated. But that’s if Steven’s a match! I did quite a bit of research on him and it was a pretty compelling case... •Steven Allen Hafer 1989 KentuckyIn April 1989 and Jan 1990 we have two males found nude with hands cut off 150 miles apart. Both had gunshot wounds.
THANK YOU KADZU!! I’m so thankful for everyone who has helped and got onboard with this!!Mad respect to all of you, particularly MMcG, for the outstanding research and work you’re doing on this focused project!
These two peak my curiosity... 2012 cases
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
and
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Circumstances of Recovery: Partial skeletal remains of at least two individuals found scattered near rural highway. DNA indicates that this individual is maternally related to NamUs UP10354
And they each have two rule outs; brothers from New Jersey. I haven’t spent much time in the newer cases, but I wonder what was going on here. And “at least two” individuals? PMI is only 0-3 years. Head/torso/1+ limbs were not recovered for both... were they dismembered and scattered? Or just scattered over time by scavengers?
Awesome!!Been working on a map when I have time - completed up to 2015. This map is coded blue for males and red for females. If you click on the title for each person you should see the description, which was pasted from the spreadsheet. Hopefully, I'll finish it tomorrow.

I hate when the articles have different stats than NamUs lol... I’ll put her as 5’1-5’5” for now...Hmm, the Boone County, KY cluster that was discussed before is a bit more spread out now, as I finally found a newspaper article discussing 1982 Boone County Doe's discovery. She was discovered quite a distance downriver from where I initially placed her pin, near Belleview, KY.
This article also pegs her height at 5'1", as opposed to 5'5" on NamUs.

On the locations, I initially had County - City, then I changed it to County - River/Lake, but that may not be helpful... how do you think’s best to enter that info? (OCD much?)
I’ll add that article to the others. I’ve got some with the date the article was published and others with the actual date of discovery, regardless of when the article was published. Ugh. I’m the queen of over complicating things, I swear lol

The Doe Network: 1875UMKY
can anyone help verify the specific River? I think Cumberland but idk
The Doe Network: 931UFKY
And what city this is?![]()
I moved her down closer to Belleview on the map.Hmm, the Boone County, KY cluster that was discussed before is a bit more spread out now, as I finally found a newspaper article discussing 1982 Boone County Doe's discovery. Are you updating your map with these new coordinates?I'm going to have to check 1875UMKY more closely, as I guessed the location discovered, so I cannot say for sure which river.
ETA: Got it! It's the Rockcastle River.
931UFKY, from the coordinates I inferred from the "490 mile marker of the Ohio River" detail, was found closest to the unincorporated community of Idlewild, KY. Other towns relatively close by are Petersburg, KY, Bullittsville, KY, Hebron, KY, and Francisville, KY.
