Prosecution of Casey Anthony movie discussion thread

DO NOT LET THEM GET YOU!
I have spent all week ighting then realized what was going on!
So many groups that supposedly care about Caylee have been trying to get everyone to not watch the movie! They all kept lying saying all the money is going to FCA just so no one watches. I swear they are all trolls from BOZO or CA!

ugh i know but these are people I know personally!! I couldn't help it.

People on Facebook have me engraged!! I've seen two people tonight saying pretty much that they think Casey is innocent. And I won't lie when I say I flipped out!! I don't even care but that enrages me that ANYONE would think that woman is innocent!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Ask them to watch the Dr.G video that also aired tonight and let you know what they think then.

OMG the casting of this movie is terrible!! I just mean the actors don't look the parts at all!

You think that's bad...

My husband thought CA was guilty until he watched the trial. He fell for Baez' BS. We can't have a discussion about the trial or even watch a program about it without getting into an argument.

It makes me question his discernment and my taste in men.
:banghead:

I'm not letting him watch anymore of the Jodi Arias trial, now that the prosecution has rested.

@RobLowe
No matter how many times I see the upcoming verdict scene, I get SO upset. #ProsecutingCaseyAnthony

Just getting back in from work...

Someone needs to invite Rob Lowe to join WS...sounds like he'd fit right in.

I was going to try and watch the movie as it aired, so I could follow along with you all. You always have such great discussions here, but my little ones had other plans for me. I'm watching it now, and already so frustrated! This trial, the jurors, the dt, all of the A's, and most especially, fca, get under my skin like no one, or no thing ever has. I wasn't a member here during the trial, but my mother and I spent most of that month and a half on the phone, watching it together. When that verdict came down I was physically sick. I can't explain why this case affected me so much. I've followed other cases where mothers have killed their child/children, but this was different, even before the verdict. I'm sure part was because of darling, little Caylee, and the other part is probably because I hate fca so much. I truly hate her. And I looked so forward to seeing her get convicted...

During the movie, when LDB is giving her opening statement, the camera shot is from the perspective of the jurors, and smack in the center of their line of vision sits fca... IMO, she's just plain creepy, and gives me the heebie geebies... And I knew she was straight across from them, but actually seeing what they saw the whole trial ticked me off even more. Little bitty fca in her toddler chair, with all kinds of lovemaking going on... She was more like the prom queen than the defendant. I don't know why any of that was allowed. The dt created a circus over there, and the jury had the best seats in the house, and yet still missed what the rest of the world saw right through... So much of this case I just don't understand... Probably time to turn the tv off... :banghead:

All jmo.

I am really curious to hear Jeff Ashton's response to this movie. I have reached out to him and invited him to be on my show via his publisher.

Even though it was based on his book they made up things via "poetic license."

Sorry if this has been discussed but Ashton is quoted as saying he never said that he could make Casey, "the most hated woman in America." He said he would NEVER say something of that nature.

I loved how the person reading the verdict paused. That was perfect.

Watching the after show now.

Ugh. Watching those people screaming outside the Anthony house brings back bad memories. I was blamed for that . People claimed I let this group organize on Websleuths. Just the opposite was true. We stopped ANY HINT of a discussion about harassing the Anthonys but if it happens on a discussion forum, especially if it is bad, Websleuths seems to get stuck with it.

Question: Are there truly people out there who think Casey is really innocent?

BBM: This is why I refused to watch the movie. I did not trust Lifetime to do justice to Ashton's book.

The whole sordid mess was dramatic enough without changing anything. And to portray Ashton as saying he would make Casey the most hated woman in America is unacceptable and downright disgusting. That man has too much class to say anything like that and the first time I saw the movie promo with that clip I almost threw up. Truth is, no one needed to make Casey a hated woman; she did that to herself.

I am relieved to know that my decision to not watch the movie was a correct one. If ever a realistic movie is made based on Ashton's book, I would feel honored to watch. I hope some producer somewhere has the guts to do that.

River Cruz? What the heck for?
They just showed a snippet of her on the witness stand where she said that George told her it was "just an accident that snowballed outta control". I'll never understand why that was allowed.

JMHO

I am just watching it now. I don't like how they portray Ashton as if he is out to get her. I also don't like that baez says Caylee drowned within the first 15 minutes. They should have shown how he was on every tv show insisting that the nanny was real, and LE wasn't doing their job. Baez created so much more of a media circus than what they are showing.
Now, all the 'good mother' testimony? Yuk! So far, I'm not real happy.

Wait a sec...:waitasec:
Didn't Det Allen or Melich say that or something along the same line during the Universal interview?

OMG, the diner scene where Lowe is excited about millions of people watching him? I think they got him confused with another attorney who was loving the attention.

They are making it look like the prosecutors were really out there, and baez was the reasonable one who was discrediting them. This is making me sick. Am I over-reacting? They are making baez look like he is the reasonable one and he is picking the case apart, when it was really the defense witnesses who were not credible, and Jeff who humiliated them. Maybe I'm not far enough into it yet, but so far, it is all backwards.

ugh i know but these are people I know personally!! I couldn't help it.

That makes me crazy!!!!!:furious:My own sister:furious:thought CA was gonna walk and I laughed in her face and said you listened to a few news bites you know nothing:furious: I am still mad at her told her she jinx the verdict:furious: She is more book smart but no COMMON SENSE! Never had it never will!

My hubby was the reverse he thought she was innocent all that time before the trial:furious::furious:I use to tell him we were going to wind up on a thread here on Websluths!:floorlaugh:if he kept it up!He watched the trial and realized and apologized:banghead:

And now - with our very own members finding

"FOOL PROOF SUFFOCATION" searches.

For me - I just can't get past (and NEVER EVER WILL) the fact that she drove around with the body in the car! Period. You CAN'T explain that - you just can't.

JMHO
W.O.O., I had to step away from WS awhile after the verdict. Can you tell me what I missed about the "foolproof suffocation"?

In the movie tonight, after the body is found and Jeff and Linda view the bones with Dr. G, they flashed a bunch of evidence pics from the woods. I recognized several of them but was surprised to see the full skull images with no blurring. All the others I had previously seen where blurred.

Can anyone confirm if these were the real pics? I think they must be. The skull is buried up to the nose hole and you can clearly see the duct tape covering the nose hole and wrapped around the head. I paused my TV and stood there stunned at how any juror in their right mind could possibly think that this child may have accidentally died. It's ludicrous. I always remember how Jeff said that if the jury didn't see these pics the same way he did, well they would never get it. Man, I sure understand what he was talking about. Those pics were just as disturbing as I imagined them to be.

I started to watch the movie...but couldn't couldn't get past hearing Caylee's name mentioned...again and again :(
Maybe tomorrow during the light of day I'll be able to watch it.

I missed that originally. It was during a jvm part and I think I automatically tuned it out. I don't know if those are the real pics or not but they really are riveting.
