Here's how rumors really start!

What if SA found out DC was actually talking to Leonard Padilla that day on his cell?

Sorry - I'm trying to think of the thing I would least imagine happening because this case has so many unexpected twists and turns, who knows what will happen next.
...and strange that DC's depo never "seemed" to have happened.

I may be going out on a long limb here but IMO, they found KC's fingerprints on the duct tape. The SA knows that if this evidence is released to the public now KC can later claim her right to a fair trial was violated (if she's convicted) and the conviction could conceivably be overturned on appeal. I personally think this evidence is burning hot, way beyond JK's history or anyone else's. If it's exculpatory evidence then the SA is duty-bound to turn it over to the defense and just the reverse seems to be happening. This could be the smoking gun, folks.

I think that is what it is, (and if it is not) then it is something to put the final nail in Casey's coffin.

Ok...reading closer...they know they have to hand over info to the defense...but once they do...the Sunshine Law comes into play. So maybe they're asking for an exemption? Maybe they're afraid that the defense will leak the info as well? Oh, this is killing me.

...but wouldn't that have been found a long time ago? Why use the word "new"?

Maybe it has something to do with the computer store owner in Maitland. Maybe he remembered something significant, or maybe someone in WalMart saw what Casey bought that day when she was seen walking out clutching a small bag to her chest.

"Prosecutors say they have new material and information from investigators regarding the case that they don’t want to go be disclosed to the public."

The quote says, "new", "from investigators" and, "don't disclose to public".

This doesn't sound like results from the FBI or other labs unless use of the word investigators is a ruse -- so no fingerprints or forensics. IMO.

So either someone has come forward or, something has turned up from LE or, there is a DC connection.

I would think that for not disclosing to public, if it helps KC then it would go to the Defense and they'd be able to use it, obviously.

However, if it goes against KC then the Defense will still discover but the Prosecution don't want the public to know since it would taint any Jury if it still goes to trial.

I would discount it helping KC since the Defense would use that either way both at trial and before .... it does sound like bad news for KC as well as maybe one of the A's. Intriguing.

Here's the motion, short and sweet

The motion says that they have "new material and new information". Let's hope that it is not something that we could even guess at and it is a true Bombshell. I'm patient, if I can wait until 2011 for the trial, I can be patient to learn this information.

Plenty of info and clues in there...... NOT! JB must be going crazy. He'll want to be there..... me!, me!, me!

...anf strange that DC's depo never "seemed" to have happened.

But it was to be a "secret" investigative depo so we wouldn't have necessarily known when and if it took place, would we?

Yes, I say what you say but my dyslexia would never let me!

...which will be about when you'll find out this info if the motion is successful. All I keep thinking is that whatever they have could be prejudicial and are concerned that it would affect jury selection. Oh, my...a year plus of endless speculation.
I have never been the patient type. LOL

Well w/o JB putting DC on his witness list..."investigative" would have been the only other way to go. Very interesting! For about a half a sec I did believe DC was on the phone with the psychic.

Very interesting ...

It seems to me a reason for delaying release of such information to the defense would be because the information pertains in some way to the defense team. Could be tied back to DC.

But for fun, it could be tied back to the zenaida myspace, which has been quiet for almost a month now.

This is such a tease...kinda ranks up there with TP's mystery news. But, if I let myself just be, I feel my blood starting to boil. It's like I don't really want to know all the horrid details. There's still that part of me that can't fathom how a mother can hurt...yet alone kill...her own child.

Oh please oh please oh PLEASE let it be about DC!!!!!

I really hope he got his head on straight and decided to tell the truth. If so, HALLELUJAH!

And it proves that the Cindy koolaid (I never believed it was Casey koolaid) wears off after awhile, lol!

I am just giddy at the thought he might have finally told the truth! Or if it's prints on the duct tape, that is just as good. Man, I was starting to get frustrated and bored, and then they rope me right back in!

Some possibilities that first came to my mind besides something to do with DC, which might not apply in this case, I'm just thowing 'em out there...

Could it be that someone who believes they are Caylee's father has come forward and doesn't want to be identified? ..,not too sure on that one.

What about Donna Brock? (WAS a member of TES during the search) Now in jail with HaLeigh Cummings father, Ron and Misty? Some think she may be an informant, IDK..would that involve MN instead?

Now that I read back over them I realize that it's time for bed, cause they do sound silly, but I'm going to leave them anyway..:blushing: I'm just SO CURIOUS!

The motion states that "certain materials and information has come into the possession of Law Enforcement" which makes me think that this is not about a report coming back from analysis on the duct tape. The motion also states that said information is discoverable to the defense but that there is good cause to "delay" the disclosure. I'm thinking that there is a new witness of some sort...

"Certain materials"...Could that mean some kind of records like phone records or computer records? Something gathered from one of Casey's friends?

Or maybe photo's of some kind?

I'm thinking the SA and the defense just had their meeting together, so maybe it is some small thing that the defense handed over to SA as their discovery, but it fills in the blank of something that the SA couldn't figure out.

It might be considered new because the FBI has been holding on to it at the request of the SA. That's what I think that whole exchange was between JA and JB at the last hearing. The SA and FBI know that it becomes discoverable if released to the State because they have to turn it over to the defense. I think the defense has forced the SA's hand so this is occurring now, IMO.
