Yes the policy is to keep students from developing truancy.

As far as DCF, Ronald stated that he spanked Haleigh the way that DCF stated he can spank her. Ronald stated that he had a Father/Daughter agreement with Haleigh. By Ronald's own words, DCF was involved.

I am increasingly wondering whether this whole party weekend happened the weekend BEFORE, the weekend the kids were at Crystal's. Misty has talked about how they used the kids to lure her back into the fold. I don't have proof. I just have a wonder if.

Nay Nay talked about Misty's wild weekend and referred to a number of other witnesses we haven't heard from but the police hopefully have been able to talk to.

Ronald referred to an incident with Misty cheating him in one of the Cobra tapes transcribed here.

Annette Sykes said she was angry because Misty had left and she didn't think Ronald should take her back.

Misty said she had been somewhere and came back.

I'm not sure if anyone referred to it as a binge or if they're reliable witnesses but I think most of them agree that she was some place and did something that weekend.

debs, my understanding is last time Crystal had Haleigh and Jr. for the weekend was January 30th to February 1, 2009.. Crystal did not have visitation the weekend before Haleigh's was reported abducted...JMO

I have looked and looked and so far Misty gives that story but I have read other stories that Ron was supposedly doing tree work that morning. TIA.

She was asking about the "pink shirt" I believe...Annette says, "No, she didn't have it on then.."

Funny how Annette has never told the story (until recently) about Misty putting shirts on the kids either. :waitasec:

So, Haleigh either had on no shirt when Annette "stopped by" or some other shirt, was then changed into yet another shirt (according to Annette) and was then changed into the 'pink shirt'...Pffft...

I don't have any proof and this is just an opinion, but it is not unusual for kids to be shirtless in the south and although it was not summer, it could still happen. Misty in my opinion was not a caregiver of any merit, so I think its a valid assumption they were shirtless, although it was cool. Remember that it is possible that Haleigh was wearing nothing when whatever happened to her. (Her shoes were left and probably wrapped in a blanket) jmo

Since it has been declared a homicide, the FBI no longer has a role in the investigation. Homicides are strictly the jurisdiction of local and state law enforcement unless there are suspects or people-of-interest that are beyond the state's jurisdictional reach.

There may be some evidence or examination results from the FBI that would come into play during the charging and prosecution phase. Other than that, the FBI no longer has any reason to be involved.

JMO. I am an unpaid layperson, not an attorney-spokesperson.

Any clues as to how Terry Shoemaker, RC's attorney, is being compensated? TN and/or AS? Future book deal? HaLeigh reward money? I can't imagine that TS is doing this pro bono, and I don't think that he's court-appointed counsel. Your thoughts?
