Manage attachments gives me a thumbnail too.

Para. 2 is exactly what I've been doing. However, I can't hit enter because I get a popup box where I select Upload File.

Here's a pic that's 615 x 409 pixels, but as you can see, it's not much bigger than a thumbnail.

attachment.php

OK, I am going to try it with your pic I saved on my ipad. Selecting pic icon at top of post here, choose file/ from computer/photo library, my pics pop up and I select/use the one I want, tap upload pic and it pops in here and automatically closed the pop up box:

attachment.php

ETA: mine came out larger....? And it also leaves the smaller attached thumbnail. I suppose I could go back and delete that part, but did not try.

Roselvr, These are the only ways I know:
attachment.php

(1) I selected the photo icon in the header, in the box that popped up I chose from computer and selected my saved pic then hit upload and it popped in ---- whatever size it is is what I get, mostly a full size.

or (2) go advanced/ choose Manage Attachments, chose from PC, select my pic I had saved , upload / close. My pic will be more of an attachment you will have to click on to see larger. Works the same if you choose from url instead.

What device are you using when you come here? Edit, you said ipad lol

What device are you using when you come here? I'm on a windows Vista computer. You're getting what I get, the only difference is I preview my post, then click the thumbnail to open in new tab, right click image, copy image location, come back, set up my
tags, paste in the photo URL, hit submit. You then have a full sized image

attachment.php

This is fantastic to see you're both here. I'm so grateful for your efforts. There's rather a difference in the size of my teensy little pic and yours.

ETA I use Windows 10.

Roselvr, What do you mean you "set up your image tags"? The pic I posted wasn't using a URL. I'd saved it on my PC in Pictures.

I don't understand your para. below, because I'm not using a URL so I can't see how this would work.

Sorry for the edits. It's almost 1:30am here and I'm past my bedtime. Maybe I'm just dense.

Nope, you aren't. It took me forever to learn how to do pics.

While I was debating whether to type my text into the Quick Reply box or go straight to Go Advanced, I noticed that the first icon on the formatting bar was turned on. I went to my Settings and saw in Miscellaneous Options that Standard Editor was selected. I changed this to Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing.

I returned to my post, clicked the Insert Image icon, From Computer, Select File, clicked photo, Upload file. Then went to Go Advanced and Preview. Who could believe it was something as simple as that.

Thank you Spellbound and Roselvr for the time and effort you put in trying to solve this. I really appreciate your efforts. :blowkiss:

Wonderful! Congratulations to you for figuring it out yourself! Hopefully we will remember to check settings first, when the next person is confused.

When you upload from your computer it posts as a thumbnail, on the preview post you'll see the thumbnail, if you right click that thumbnail, select open in new tab, that gives you a WS URL, right click on the photo, select copy image URL, then do
click between the
, then right click, select paste, it pastes in the thumbnail URL to make a full size photo

Who

Welcome, glad you figured it out. I did my settings the same way, it still gives me a thumbnail lol
If you quote your post with your full sized pic, you'll see it puts the image into the
tags

I recently went to My Settings and see that I have a huge number of Attachments (pics) that I wish to delete. There are no check boxes or way of selecting those that I want to delete. Does anyone know what I need to do?

If you delete them, they'll be removed from where you uploaded them.
Click on your name top right corner, click settings then scroll down to the last entry on the left, attachments

Hello again Roselvr,

I feel like I'm a bit of a problem child on this thread at the moment. The pics are years old now and I really have no need for most of them. As you can see from my post 2 up, this is exactly what I did. I went to My Settings, scrolled down to Miscellaneous on the left of the screen and clicked on Attachments. This brought up all the pages with the pics, however there is no check box to click on to select those I wish to delete.

These pics were all uploaded from my PC, not Google images.

judi, the box is way over to the right side; after selecting the boxes you want deleted, scroll to bottom of page and click "delete selected"

I think if you click the very first box above all the attachments (on the right side) it selects every attachment on that page.

Where am I able to adjust the timeout of my account for when composing lengthy and considered replies?

When replying to a post is there a highlight (yellow transparent horizontal band over typing) function so as not to take highlighted sentence out of context?

What's the protocol for opening up a complex case with just a single thread into a dedicated multi-thread forum on that one case?

I am not sure I understand your questions, but I will try to reply.

There is no time-out that I am aware of. When you log-on to the site, do you check the box below your sign-in to "always stay logged in" ?

No yellow highlight feature. You can use the quote function ("reply with quote") or copy/paste a quoted sentence (give the link to person/article quoted) between the quotes after selecting the comment icon from the top of your text box...looks like a cloud.

To answer your last question, you would have to contact a mod for approval.

hope this helps

Hi Spellbound, There is NO box on the right side. I have seen 1 or 2 in the past but there are none there now on any of the pages. When I saw those little boxes in the past, you could click on them and then click Delete, but there are no boxes now at all, so no way to select any.

Here's an image of the first two entries on one page. As you can see, there is no way of selecting anything. I have 7 full pages that I want to delete.

That is strange. It looks just like my page, but way over to the right side of the page I have the boxes to check. By any chance do you have your page zoomed too large so the right side does not show up? This is what mine looks like:

Para. 1 - When you log in at the top right of the page, click the Remember Me box located under your user name. You need to do this each time you log in.

Para. 2 - If you want to highlight something from a post you're quoting and replying to, highlight the relevant words in the quote and click on B to put it in bold if you wish to emphasize part only of the original post.

Para. 3 - As you're only a very new member, you probably can't create any threads yet. Send a PM to the mods asking about dedicated multi-threads within the main thread.
