Dave, we have lost our hyperlink icon. The icon that appears now is for links, not hyperlinks. It's a simple matter to copy and paste links, but at present we can't use hyperlinks at all. It would be much appreciated if you could restore the hyperlink icon. Thank you.

Where is the search bar for Websleuths on Tapatalk. For instance, when I want to locate a discussion on a missing person, Where do I enter the person's name. At the time I'm searching I may not be aware if they are still missing, located deceased, case is in trial. So I want the name to cover all forums. TIA

From my Notifications screen (where it lists all the cases I've subscribed to), I choose 'Home' from the bottom horizontal menu and then click 'Websleuths' at the top. A search box for Websleuths appears at the top.

Another week, another problem. I can no longer post a YouTube link that works. As soon as I post it, all I see is a big black box with nothing to click on. I just went back to an old thread and all videos I previously posted have turned into black boxes too.

I can post live links that work in Word and can watch videos on YouTube itself. Once again, I only have a problem here.

I played around with my settings this afternoon and discovered the following re the above:

I turned compatibility mode OFF and I no longer have the black boxes for YouTube links, BUT even though I have Ad*blocker enabled, my page is now full of ads!!!
Worst of all, each of the problems I had previously have returned, i.e. I can't add pics, edit posts etc etc.

I had no choice but to re-enable Compatibility Mode again. So now I can't post YouTube links or clicking on anyone else's either!!!

Why we have these issues on this forum is just totally beyond my comprehension because they don't happen anywhere else.

The problem in most cases is the vBulletin Software. Rather than update a software product that is having problems we are changing to a brand new software company.

This is a huge job. Dave is working on it every day. I can't give you a completion date but it is being worked on.

When we change over, Websleuths will be much easier to navigate and if the problem you are having is caused by vBulletin software then this new software should fix it.

For some reason, vBulletin does not work well with any Apple product.

Please accept my apology for these issues. We are working on getting everything moved to the new software ASAP

We have nothing to do with Tapatalk so I can't answer your question.

Tapatalk makes me nuts.

The problem in most cases is the vBulletin Software. Rather than update a software product that is having problems we are changing to a brand new software company.

This is a huge job. Dave is working on it every day. I can't give you a completion date but it is being worked on.

When we change over, Websleuths will be much easier to navigate and if the problem you are having is caused by vBulletin software then this new software should fix it.

For some reason, vBulletin does not work well with any Apple product.

Please accept my apology for these issues. We are working on getting everything moved to the new software ASAP

Thank you, Tricia! It is hard to be patient waiting for the new software to be ready for us ---- but I am really happy it is coming! Your forum has gotten so BIG and useful. We can be a stubborn bunch, but our appreciation knows no boundaries.

Please keep us updated on the new software coming to a screen near us ... soon.

I know nothing about Tapatalk other than what someone might post here. Have you tried looking at the menu (I think it is the 3 dots at the top of your page)?

Im having a huge problem with Sekindo ads using data on my mobile. If Im browsing websleuths its using at least 1-2Gb data in an hour. It makes no difference if I have the mobile skin enabled or not. This has just started happening & its used almost 30gb data in a fortnight. I cant use the site like this. What has changed?? What can be done about this please?

A newbie that is an insider is commenting it is difficult as the insider is limited to only 5 private messages. I have 200. How does the newbie get permission/adjust to having more private message storage capabilities? Can a mod adjust or is is related to number of posts, timeframe, their settings etc?

I think the newbie needs to email a mod to get verified as an Insider and possibly that would chance his/her other needs (post #s, etc) too... ?

All posts on WS have been centred for the past 2 days. I've been reading this thread from the beginning to see if there's an answer but so far no luck. I know it can be an intermittent problem but is there are a known fix.

For about a week now I have been having a new problem when trying to make a post (whether I replied to one or just used the quick-response). I type my reply and it won’t send — it tells me my message is too short. it definitely is not too short :gaah:

The only way I can get around is to copy my post, delete it and click the Ok button where it says it is too short. They re-enter my post and it goes.

Any help available for this problem? Thanks. (Screenshot added)
