Buckingham Palace sent our Prime Minister a request. Along with his own invitation to the queen's funeral, and our Governor General too, the palace has asked that 10 everyday Australians be invited. They should be 10 Aussies who had made “extraordinary contributions to their communities, and who represent Australian culture and values”.
The 10 Aussies have been chosen and invited. They will travel to London and back on the private RAAF jet with the PM and the Governor General.

Ten ‘everyday’ Australians to travel to Queen’s funeral with Anthony Albanese
PM says the 10 guests represent Australian culture and values but dismisses questions about whether any of them support becoming a republicwww.theguardian.com
(For those who may not be aware, the Governor General is appointed by the queen/king and is their representative in a Commonwealth country.)
Staff members at Clarence House have reportedly been given notice of their redundancy as King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, are set to move to Buckingham Palace following the death of the Queen, according to the Guardian. It is thought that up to 100 workers at Clarence House could be affected by the news, as the King changes his official residence
This is exceedingly touching
Good on Albo. He has a heart.I am also really happy to hear that our PM is basically going to swing by and pick up Pacific Island leaders, on the way to London. To make sure they can get to the funeral. They are all members of the Commonwealth and some had the queen as their head of state.
