No, but had thought about going out to the Pumpkin Patch this weekend. It's going to start getting really busy on Sauvie now that it's October. I hope if they are out there that they have another tip. :praying:

Dear locals,
Have you seen any US MARSHALL's, FBI or any task force around?
Might be all under cover, but wondering if gov. cars seen around SI and school area.

Is there only one way onto Sauvie and one way out? Reason I ask is, logistically and from what we know about Terri's timeline, she could have only gotten so far onto Sauvie Island, right?

Dear locals,
Do you see or hear any searches today again on SI???

Not a local but I can answer that, because I looked it up when the case first started. Only one way in and out... via the bridge off of Hwy 30.

You are correct, only one way on and off the island. I've been stuck on that bridge before during Pumpkin season. It gets quite crowded the last two weeks in October.

Passionflower, Channel 12 reported last night and I think this morning on the news that smaller searches would be happening this week. I'll try and find a link but I was watching it live on TV.

Referenced in the video towards the end. Smaller searches this week.

Is the weather still co-operating for searches???
It is cold and rainy here...........

Do you know where the smaller searches will be?Are they places other than Sauvie Island?

For anyone that has been to both the Fred Meyer's, do either of them have phone booths in the parking lot or anywhere near?

They don't have outside phone booths like the "old days" but I'm almost positive there is a payphone inside the store. The Walker Road location is actually on my errand list today...will check it out for you!

You are the best, thank you! From what I remember from living nearby at one time there were pay phones inside the entryway of the store. Can you see if there are also any of the old fashioned pay phones in booths around there? I so appreciate your help! <3

Went to both stores! ;) No booths anywhere near there. I drove all the way around each store too. Side note, black cat ran in front of my car..an omen? :(

At Imbrie, there is a pay phone very visible right inside the entrance that would be closest to where "we think" she parked.

At Walker, the payphone is kind of hidden. Had to ask 2 employees before someone found it. It's near the Grocery entrance, tucked beside a Glacier Water Vending machine. This entrance is around the corner to where "we think" she parked at that store.

HTH!

I believe most of the commercial/retail designs today put the pay phone between the bathrooms near the checkout. This is typically an intentional design because it is the highest security area in the store and activity can be monitored more closely.

Hi locals! Another question - how important are the fall months to Sauvie in terms of revenue and tourism? Do the locals rely on their pumpkins/pumpkin patches, etc. quite a bit for income? Are there a lot of school tours to the island in the fall?

I have a Sauvie Island timeline thread in the reference/timeline forum. I just blew the timeline, and I'm stuck.

If a local has time to review it and give me some input, I'd appreciate it.

The thread is here:
