Important (maybe):)

What exactly did George say Caylee was wearing on June 16th when he saw her for the last time? Wasn't it a denim skirt (or shorts) and a pink top? Did he mention pink sandals, too?

i thought it was a denim skirt, a pink top, and white tennis shoes. i'm sorry i don't have a link--just memory.

Check out this photograph taken at Christmas. Is this what he described? If so, I have to wonder if the reason his memory was so surprisingly clear about Caylee's clothes is because he was describing a photo he remembered that was taken 6 months before Caylee disappeared.

The outfit is at 3min.16sec:

BTW, if there have already been dozens of posts on this subject--which I suspect there have been--pardon my ignorance. :)

He said that she was wearing a jean skirt and pink top I thought.

That's what I thought, too! Did you look at that photo taken with the Christmas tree behind her? I wonder if there was a framed photo taken of her that day, and that's what George was using to describe "the outfit she was wearing when he last saw her."

I simply cannot get past the improbability of him remembering exactly what the little one was wearing, one month afterward and when he was under extreme stress. A day later, yes. A week later, okay. I know he's former LE, but unless something struck him as unique about that outfit, I just can't fully accept it.

Oh, there's one more thing that struck me as odd from the first: A jean skirt in the heat of a Florida summer. The jean skirt or shorts she's wearing in the referenced picture was obviously in late December which makes more sense. I know--I know there are varying weights of jean "cloth."

respectfully snipped by me (hope i got that right)
i can't accept it either, but what really niggles at me is why george didn't realize that everyone who's ever seen an episode of columbo wouldn't find that a tad suspicious.

Please help, is there a thread listing all of the people involved in this case? Thank-you!

George had a happy, older memory of Caylee pop into his mind, and that is what he was remembering when he spoke to police.

I have a 4 year old and today she decided it would be a daddy day. She has been very into mommy and big sister for the last two years, but today it was all about daddy (not that I am complaining). We played imaginary games (I have no clue what the rules of engagement were), we read, we talked, cleaned the wood stove, made dinner. She was my shadow.

Yet, I cannot recall exactly what she wore today. However, I can tell you what her favorite clothes are, and one month from now if asked I would put her into those clothes, although I would likely be wrong.

So Friday, good catch and insight!

Hi Friday.

I'm obsessing a bit about the clothes LE took in the search yesterday. I've always been on the fence about GA's description of the 16th, but WHAT IF they found the pink top, or jean skirt or sandals/shoes at the remains site? I don't much care that it would give GA more credibility, but it would possibly imply that Caylee was killed on the 16th? (if that is making any sense?)

Conversely, if they found an item of Caylee's clothing seen in the Father's Day video of the 15th, it would support the theory that KC took Caylee after the alleged fight on the 15th, and killed Caylee then. Maybe LE went back to look for the other parts of the known outfit from the 15th?

Thoughts?

I have a question that I'd love to know all your thoughts about. Now that we know Caylee was left in the woods just down the street from KC's house, why all the pings in the middle of nowhere at all hours of the day and night. IMO she would not go to the trouble of doing this to confuse investigators months later. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Re underlined portion--Yes, that's the sort of thing I meant. Now, the question is, do you think George was knowingly putting Caylee in an outfit he remembered from some other other occasion, or does he actually think he's giving an accurate account? So many people seem to think he didn't see Casey and Caylee on the 16th, but I just can't believe he was already lying and shielding Casey the very first night LE questioned him.

If you watched that long, unhurried interview with TM on Fox a week or so ago, you would have heard TM relate how George's best friend described George's attitude toward Casey the first night TM was at the Anthony's house. It was not complimentary or supportive.

I'll tell you what--if I tried to duplicate this plot in a mystery novel, no one would publish it because it's already gotten way too farfetched to be believable. And it isn't even over yet. What if Cindy does get arrested? I mean, who would believe this stuff? LOL.

The theory is she had Caylee in the trunk for a couple of days before she put her in the woods. So, the pings show everywhere she travelled on those days.

Yes, Tim went into great detail in that interview about the family dynamics he observed during his first meeting with the Anthony's.

I believe Tim said that George's buddy stated something to the effect of "The Truth is sitting right there in the bedroom and SHE'S NOT TALKING!!" This apparently was all said to Tim within the first 5 minutes or so of him arriving to the Anthony house for the first time. Tim said he found it to be very significant that one of George's close friends would make a remark like that to a near stranger in the midst of all of the drama.

I think George in his heart wants to do the right thing by Caylee. You can see by reading his earlier transcripts that he was speaking freely, and holding little or nothing back. But his wife has got his "you know what" in her hand, and she squeezes hard every time he steps out of line.

Please excuse the visual image ^ folks.

Did anyone listen to it??

Where did that thread about this video go anyone know

Did anyone else here her sing Please dont take NANAS / NANS sunshine away !!!!!

Yes, that's what I heard anyway. unless I just misunderstoof her words she said nan's or nana's .

George relayed so many a suspicion to LE about his daughter's behavior and character that I believe he would not shield her. I think he honestly thought that his grand-daughter was wearing those clothes (and she may have been).

IMO, the only person George ever tries to protect or cover for is Cindy.

I'm at the age(50) when hot flashes are a way of life and dress accordingly:). My 14 yo daughter and I go to Disney 2x/ year once in either May-June-July and then again in Nov. Jean skorts are 1 of my favorite things to wear during the Spring/Summer trip-very comfortable and not hot at all. So, I can see Caylee wearing the Christmas outfit in the summertime.

This is not an WS resource, but I find it very useful. Hope it helps!

Thoughts?

I'm twisting in the wind with exactly the same thoughts. And here's one more possibility--Some reports describe the clothing found with Caylee's remains as a swimsuit. Now, according to Cindy, on the evening of 6/15, she and Caylee swam in the backyard pool. (Either before or after the huge blowup between CA and Casey.) That opens up the possibility that when CA took Caylee out of the pool and into the house, she handed Caylee over to Casey, and said something like, "Get off your @ss, Casey, and act like a mother for once. Your daughter needs a bath and dry clothes, and then she needs to go to bed!"

And when Cindy left the room, Casey grabbed Caylee up, put a towel or sheet around her and stormed out, never to be seen again with Caylee.

That would account for a swim suit and towel or sheet being in the bag with Caylee's remains--if indeed those items were found in the bag.

But what about the book Caylee had been reading to GGF that morning? How did it get in the woods? What a puzzle!

I have to tell you that your post made me smile... thank you :)

Your children are very lucky that you so obviously enjoy their company. Children sooo need a fathers love, especially little girls. Sometimes I begin to lose faith in our F'ed up society and then a post such as this comes along and gives it back to me in a matter of seconds and brings tears to my eyes. :)

i have a question (please don't kill me--i'm a newbie) i realize that this thread is for questions regarding the case ... however i have a question regarding the rules of etiquette here. i've looked through all the forums and threads i can think of which might yield an answer, but to no avail, and i cannot, as yet, private message a moderator as you need to fulfil an unknown to me (typical newbie here) standard of posting before that function is made available to you.
could someone with experience please tell me if the posting of non standard board issue emticons is allowed, or would that be a no-no?
TIA

Welcome to WS :)

Ok, this may be a weird question, but I can't for the life of me shake the feeling that I have seen the meter reader somewhere before. Anyone else think he looked familiar?

I think you're right on all counts. I think he knows what the right thing to do is, but that would require him to oppose his wife, and he lacks the courage and character to do that. Which is probably why neither his wife nor his children (nor I, I'm ashamed to admit) have any respect for him. I pity him, but I can't respect him.
