I believe it was in the police dispatch tapes. Here is a link...
http://www.kmbc.com/r/29471219/detail.html
But that is the dispatcher. Not Jeremy calling in. We saw in the Josh Powell fiasco, for one, that the dispatcher is often wrong in what they relay. I think we can only go by what Jeremy said to even say. Being dispatched as a burglary in progress gives the responding officers the head's up as to it possibly being an active scene and they will need to wait for backup.

I agree. The dispatcher's job when broadcasting to the officers is to let them know what kind of call they are responding to. A burglary in progress mixed in with a missing 10 month old is a bit confusing to say the least.

Respectfully snipped
Based upon info from US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children...non family abductions of infants (1 month - 12 months of age) tend to be carried out by white males between the ages of twenty and forty. They are typically not married, are loners, and have difficulty interacting with adults. They are a transient worker or day laborer with marginal social skills. Profit based offenses (drug related or ransom) are rare. Infants are usually abducted by a male who is an acquaintance or stranger of the victim/family, commonly a neighbor with a history of sexual misconduct. Race of victims and perps is consistently same. And most are victims of opportunity. Interesting to note also is the abductor's prior crimes are similar in M.O. (i.e. Jersey likes to set fires and a fire was discovered the night baby Lisa went missing). [/B]

Respectfully snipped

1-12 months is considered an infant.

The National Center for Missing and Abducted Children give the following profile for a person who would abduct an infant:

Profile of a "Typical" Infant Abductor - from The National Center for Missing and Endangered Children

This list was developed from an analysis of 256 cases occurring 1983-2008.

The Abductor

Is usually female of “childbearing” age (range now 12 to 53) and often overweight.
Is most likely compulsive; most often relies on manipulation, lying, and deception.
Frequently indicates she has lost a baby or is incapable of having one.
Is often married or cohabitating; companion’s desire for a child or the abductor’s desire to provide her companion with “his” child may be the motivation for the abduction.
Usually lives in the community where the abduction takes place."

Article nipped in order not to violate TOS. Jersey does not fit this profile. Do you have a link for the NCMEC information posted above? TIA.

Someone's probably already mentioned it, but I would really like to know the results of the computer forensics.

For the phones or are you talking about someones computer?

I believe if the phones haven't been found by now, they're not gonna be (but it would be so awesome if they could find and examine them!). I'm thinking of exams of any computers from the home (as well as exams of anyone else's computer they checked).

I'd like to know where was Jersey calling home before he came to KCMO and was he charged or even suspected in any crimes there? I know he was in NJ for 5 yrs at least, did he lay over anywhere inbetween?

I'm not sure if DB/JI let LE do any forensic testing on their computers. And since LE hasn't released any forensic information at all, who's to tell?

Now that's a good question. Is there a cold case somewhere that fits in with Jersey's whereabouts?

I can't imagine LE wouldn't have examined computers from the home at some point. Since I don't recall computers being seized on the search warrant return, I would think DB/JI gave consent during the initial searches. Otherwise, I believe LE would've taken them during the later search. IMO, it is SOP to examine them.

I would be interested in whether computer forensics turned up anything of note in any case I'm following. Even when nothing noteworthy is found, that in itself is something worth considering, IMO.

At the end of the video @ this link Peter Alexander says:

"Police tell NBC news that they have in their custody, the computer hard drives. On those hard drives Lisa's parents say is some other video of their baby daughter that they were hoping to release to help bring more public interest to the case."

Thanks Nina. So DB/JI gave their computer hard drives to LE voluntarily.

Just to be clear. . .consent would have had to come from JI.

ETA-I'll take my explanation for pointing that out to the Jeremy thread.

Thank you for the information and the link.:tyou:

You're welcome. Now if authorities determined her death occurred in a different city say Gladstone or North Kansas City then it might not show up on KC's unsolved homicide list.

But those Northland cities rarely see homicides and when they do...they tend to get a lot of publicity.

If you really want to know, your best bet is to call Jackson County. The pathology and other tests should be back now and a cause of death is considered public in Missouri.

HF, if you find out, please let us, or at least me, know. I can't find anything.

I have another question. It is said that DB and SB saw Shane, a new neighbor the two had never met, was outside smoking on his stoop and the ladies (:waitasec:), called him over to join them. Go to this link, please, and tell me if you were either a married woman with three children whose boyfriend was at work, or a married woman (granted, separated), with a four year old inside the house, would you call a stranger over - a male - to join you in your adult time? From what I've learned about FSB (female SB), I'm not all that surprised, but why would DB go along? Did FSB think MSB (male SB), was cute when he moved in? Had the women talked about him? Or did they all already know each other? I'll give you it could be as simple as the two women knew the elderly grandmother and therefore an implied trust existed....but still, would drinking without their husband/boyfriend around be the best time to introduce themselves to a perfect stranger? Judging by all accounts, smoking on the stoop is a regular occurrence in at these three houses - don't they have back yards?

Is this pretty normal for smokers in the neighborhood to sit on their stoop? In ALL the hours this was going on, have other neighbors come forward to say they saw any of this going on? MSB said the two women were loud.

Thanks for that photo, vlpate. This is the first I've seen the relationship of DB's house to the Brando's. From the Brando's house, could she really see if all the lights at the Irwin's were out? Doesn't seem like it to me.

I agree, and have always wondered about that. I used to think Samantha B. lived in the house closest to the computer room.

Fact is, unless SB walked out or down to specifically check, she couldn't have "seen" that the lights were out.

I've wondered about that all along. Wonder if she saw the front porch light or the bedroom light go off ~ stating that yes she turned the light off?
