Interestingly enough, I see some binoculars in this video. First frames.

Thanks so much for this great link, Ambitioned! (maybe also put it in the media thread?)

A couple of other things I noticed:
* At about 10 seconds in, the doors to the outside must be the patio doors with the study to the right. Since both have glass, it would have been dark outside, and the lights were on inside when Fernie arrived, that could account for how he saw the RN on the floor. Also see the photo below. Forgot I had it. The inside door.
* The floor outside of JB's bedroom is hardwood with an area rug. So - what buttprint, Mary Lacy? J/S. We all know there was no buttprint.

Done :)

AB, I wondered about the trophy too, I have swimming ones and they are plastic with metallic foils. However the base is significantly heavier and most are metal. I do believe you are correct in that it looks heavy.

Great video. Thanks for that.

They sure had clutter everywhere. Is that the hallway outside the kitchen with the wet bar and Santa suit?

The camera zoomed in on a $7,000.00 check to JR from Jay something or other. Is that Pasta Jay's?

I can't understand how JonBenet could have wanted that bedroom so far from everything. I feel the balcony is creepy with the curtain not covering the entire glass door. Also, why would they have those decorative curtains behind each twin bed. I believe there is only a wall behind there.

What is on the wall outside JonBenet's bathroom, to the right? Hand drawn artwork? I noticed the hair things strewn around on the floor. Did BR dump them to find one to put her hair up?

Besides being creepy the house is just hard on the eyes imho. Too many conflicting patterns. Furniture looks old and clunky. I guess to me the entire place looks uninviting and cold.

Did anyone else catch what I did? That the video depicted NO signs of struggle ANYWHERE.

Yes! But I was disappointed that it didn't take us into the basement. Also, such a poor quality video. My, we've come a long way in 20 years.

It is far more reasonable that the bedroom was chosen for her than it is for her to have chosen it.

Those loops on the floor are most likely potholder loom loops.

JBR was in the bedroom made for Beth and Melinda. JAR's room was at the same end of the hall. Her old room, near BR's, became Melinda's room.

I just now realized, after looking at the screen shots, that JR took the note from PR and went to the other side of the house - away from the kitchen, to spread it on the floor to read it, otherwise, Fernie is lying. Weird since the kitchen would be brightly lit.

We've heard the police found a bed pillow in the kitchen, and it appears to be in the video between 0:59 and 1:02. Strange to see it on the counter after assuming for years it was on the floor. I'm unable to share a screenshot. Tortoise, any chance you could post one?

TeaTime, where on the other side of the house are you thinking of? According to the Rams, JR spread the pages on the floor right in front of the (entry) door between the telephone nook and the study because the light was very bright there, as the video bears out. This is the door on the south side by the patio that John Fernie said he always used but found locked that morning.

The other side of the house west-east (hall to main entry) would have the front door - no plate glass. The other side of the house south-north (study and kitchen to spiral stairs and, one level below, butler's pantry) would have the glass door on the lower level. That location seems more obvious, but it's not the door any of the participants describe - not the usual JF door, not close to PR purportedly on the kitchen phone. Since the butler's kitchen is on the north side, at that hour of the morning, unless very bright lights were on, it would have been too dark for JF to read the note.

I'm a little confused. Wasn't the note put on the floor outside the study. That would be the glass door closest to the kitchen and the 1st floor study. It's also next to the nook where Patsy was on the phone. That nook is between the kitchen and the back hall. I consider that nook to be a part of the kitchen since it's next to the built-in ovens and across from the walk-in fridge.

I think that is why this case has not been solved. Because it is assumed it was the parents. It does look like it is, until you consider that the window was open, the debris at the window WAS disturbed, (except for ONE cobweb) and there was a suitcase up against the wall with a shoe print that did not belong to anyone in the house.....

You have to wonder why an intruder would use the hard-to-climb-on suitcase when he had a much steadier chair and step stool right there.

There's more, closer in, at 11:27 - 11:32.

I'm just playing it all again, so I'll see what shot I can get. I don't think the pillow is significant because it wasn't there in the crime scene photos so it must have been put there during the 26th. I'm assuming crime scene photos were taken before crime scene video?

You could be right, and I don't have a source handy, yet I have a strong recollection of reading that the pillow was found in the kitchen and significant. I'm off to hunt...

Patsy 'I don't remember the tissue box' Ramsey has exactly the same one in JonBenet's bathroom.

Tortoise, not the source I was thinking of, but 8paws posted this on 9/25 on the thread "The Case of JonBenet Ramsey- CBS Sept. 18 #2:

I know a lot of you were not in open chat the two nights the show aired but we had a discussion about a pillow on kitchen counter. When the kitchen was shown (flashlight on counter) we saw a bed pillow on the counter. I have never read or heard anything about a pillow on the kitchen counter and wondered if any of you have. I was reminded about it when I watched a clip of the CBS show and Clemete addresses the pillow on the counter and it possibly being from JonBenet's bed. I'm off to look at crime scene photos but right now I don't recall seeing a pillow on JBR's bed.

There was a pillow on JBR's bed, a Beauty and the Beast one, at the foot end.

The crime scene photos of the kitchen show someone's (maybe an officer's), jacket on the back of the chair, and no pillow.
