With a flash outside will be darker than it could be.

6 - 6:30 is a possible time of the picture using kids attitude.

If you look at the height of the flash in the window, this would be about the height of perhaps, Patsy? Keeping in mind, that the flash would be indicative of the picture taker’s eye level.

I was checking it in a thread with a window shadow of the picture taker.

The problem is that before that window is a small Christmas tree and I was not able to grab a good scan of this Christmas picture anywhere.

I believe the angle the picture is taken Burke could have been standing on the armchair to gain height and get the presents in the picture.

I am thrilled to find this discussion on photos. The photo being discussed of JBR has always intrigued me.

Extending my sincere apologies to all. How embarrassing for me. :facepalm: Severe sleep deprivation doesn't allow time for the brain to organize.
The time I posted the comment was almost 5AM. I was awake all of the night as has been the common pattern for almost two months when I placed my father in Alz care. I must do better so, I'll refrain from posting until my sleep pattern stabilizes.

I feel the pictures hold one of the keys to the mystery. Images are scattered throughout so many or too many threads. Is it possible to start a new thread for images and the image discussion?

John Andrew having an alibi has absolutely nothing to do with photographs being taken of Jonbenet leading up to her murder.

She did the exact opposite. She tried whitewashing him out of the story....to the point when they'd bring up his room and its contents and she morphs it into her room. She did this every time he's brought up. When murder suspects attempt to erase from existence family members who stay in the home, it's a red flag.

She wasn't gonna fling any Ramsey under the bus....especially him.

The photo was taken Christmas morning (I would say closer to 2am than 6am given the complete darkness outside) before they opened the presents and JonBenet is wearing her pink pyjamas, not the longjohns.

After Astronomical twilight the sky is no longer pitch dark, so in my view the photo was taken before 5:43 am.

This photo may have been taken on Christmas eve. There's nothing in the photograph that would rule the possibility out.

Like you, I also don't trust the Ramseys on their timeline as they have all the reason in the world to fudge the numbers.

I don't believe Burke took the photograph. A child isn't likely to concern themselves with getting the tree and all the gifts into the shot. It's basically a Christmas 'money shot'. They'd be more likely to be goofing off.

The little velvet Gap belt.

Acandyrose has it listed on the crime scene photo interview in 1998. Its listed with other photos under the heading "laundry area basement?" With the question mark so even she is confused. I think they're random photos. Where is this belt? Why is it not with the pants?

Thank you Tad! So, I guess my question is, How did it come to be in the kitchen laundry room? I don't know why this belt bothers me but it does. Why is it not with her clothing and why didn't they question her about that?
