Many did come out 8-10 years ago- the press did nothing with it. Very hard to prove, and all the players -including Cosby knew it. A dozen women came forward- so he paid to make it go away.

SO there more woried about shame then little children being raped ..I never made the argument it didnt happen because he is old and cant get around that was simple a observation about how he looks now ...the fact that these women wouldnt say something when they new thoise kids were in thier heads in danger and they say nothing ..yet now they are saying they are doing it so he dont hurt no one when nothing is going on ..

This isn't new-these women (most of them) made their claims at least 10 years ago, and some much longer ago than that. By the way, men who like sex with women typically don't like it with children, so those kids were never in danger-trust me, at the first sign of trouble, a kid's parents would have sued his a** so fast, he would have thought he was Michael Jackson.

Are you kidding? They know they have no chance in criminal court. Never did. No witnesses that were not on his payroll, testimony from admittedly drugged women.
It was ALWAYS a non-starter.

I'd say that last one would be considered a "ruined life". Actually all of them are.

Any Google search will turn up any number of anecdotes.

But anecdotes do not equate to real numbers. If one claims that many men have had their lives ruined by false rape accusations, and that substantial numbers of rape allegations are false, I think one should provide cold, hard, verifiable facts to support those claims.

I think they HAVE to take him to court. Somebody posted statute of limitations info earlier and it is not too late in some states.

It really wouldn't surprise me at all to hear of new allegations not included with the ones that came out in 2005, or whenever it was-I guess if we watch, we'll see

Thanks for replying. I googled each of these women's names and with the exception of Broaddrick, not one of them claimed Bill Clinton raped them, much less drugged and raped them. Sexual harassment, groping, and extramarital affairs are serious business, but I don't see how they equate to claims of being drugged and raped.

But that aside.

Apparently you believe the claims these women have made against Bill Clinton, but not the claims that women have made against Bill Cosby.

Why is that? What is the difference between the two groups?

Again- pedophiles and rapists- two different things. They only had reason to be concerned about other other grown women. But if no one believed them- what good would it do? What magic thing did they have that would stop this man? You think cops would arrest Cosby on the say so of an admittedly drugged woman? Cosby knew they would not be believed. He hope they still will not be believed.

I imagine that is why they are coming out of the woodwork. They can finally be believed now.

Not giving anyone a pass, but even rape is not taken very seriously unless the woman has bad injuries. Attempted rape? Cops could care less.
No one wanted to take a report on mine until I insisted for 30 minutes. And then they did no investigation even though I knew the man's employer. None.
I had to go back and insist they add the name. They knew he worked for a cleaning service and had keys to dozen apartments and this did not seem to concern them. I was fine! Why did I care, they wondered!

It's nice to see he's finally in jail, but no one called me to help prosecute him. They probably threw out the report.

CanMan-these women (at least some of them) DID go to the authorities. Several of them were told that no one would believe the claims; at least one went to the authorities in Philadelphia, where the DA said he believed her, but basically that since there wasn't a witness, he couldn't prosecute-she ended up being paid off by Cosby, but she wanted him prosecuted. This didn't just happen this week. These women didn't come out of the woodwork saying "me too, me too, give me some money, too"-back in 2005, this surfaced because of one woman's charges, and her lawyers sought these others out. Rape can be very difficult to prove-even if the woman's been injured.

Also I don't recall seeing anyone giving Clinton or Allen a pass on this thread. Can you point me to the relevant posts?

For clarity, in my earlier remarks I did not give Clinton "a pass." My opinion was, and is, that none of the claims made by the women whose names you posted, except for Juanita Broaddrick's, even come near the heinousness of the claims women are making against Bill Cosby.

What do you mean- if I'd won a Civil verdict against him?? I guess it's something I never considered since he didn't have money, I didn't go after him, and my immediate family didn't believe me. Since his death, I've thought of publicly outing him in print, but his adopted daughter is wealthy and I'm afraid they might try to sue me for libel.

Oh lord, I would have spent the entirety of my 20's in court if I reported every a*s grab. Anyone who equates an a*s grab with being drugged and raped is on another planet. No comparison.
