'We are here to enjoy my gift': Bill Cosby lashes out at heckler who yelled '38 women called you a rapist' - as drinks are banned from show in case they are thrown at him

Bill Cosby's performance in Baltimore was filled with protesters and at least one heckler in the venue

During his show a man stood up and screamed; '38 women spoke up and called you a rapist. 38 women!'

Fans of Cosby told the man to 'Shut up!' while Cosby urged everyone to be quiet while ushers looked for the man to escort him out

'We are here to enjoy my gift. We are not here to argue. Let those people speak. We will find them and ask them to leave,' said Cosby

Meanwhile, venues have stopped serving beverages during the shows for fear someone may throw a drink on Cosby

This happened on the same day two more women came forward to say they were drugged and raped by Cosby

This just seems like such an egotistical, conceited statement to me, but maybe I'm just looking for it as I know I am most definitely jaded when it comes to BC. I expected BC to be knocked down a few pegs by now but I guess not. He still has a very high opinion of himself and his talent/"gift".

I so agree BiS.

The absolute arrogance of the man is astounding. He expects, and sadly still gets, unquestioning adoration from his core fan base.
Nothing has changed even after two more women have now added their voices to the list of alleged victims of this man.

Adrian Nicholson, a contractor, got the tickets from a friend for free after that friend’s wife got angry about her husband buying a pair of tickets.

“I’m not really a fan,” said Nicholson. “I came more for the notoriety and to see the hoopla. I wanted to see if there was going to be more support or more negativity.”

And then there was Russell Hawkins. The 44-year-old plumber got the tickets for Christmas from his wife, Jessica. She had purchased them earlier in the year, before this wave of accusations.

“I was like, oh s—,” he said, first thinking he’d never want to go.

Then, over the next month, he thought more about Cosby and the entertainment world.

“They all do it,” said Hawkins. “It doesn’t make it right, but it’s the nature of the beast.”

Nature of the beast huh. I guess he can't help it then

I saw Cosby back in the day when he was genuinely funny. I would never attend one of his shows again, but if I did....I would wear a sweatshirt that said "Hello, Fiend."

I am not a fan of Chelsea Handler as I think she will do or say anything for publicity, which is how I feel about this story.....

'It was weird, I didn't want to go alone': Chelsea Handler says Bill Cosby invited her to his hotel suite, but she brought along three friends

The comedian, author and late-night host describe the incident to Esquire

She said she was invited to Cosby's hotel room, but was uncomfortable about the meeting and brought three men accompanying her
The meeting passed without incident, but years later one friend reminded her about the meeting

I am a fan of hers, of her books anyway. They made me literally LOL.

I can see her doing a lot of other things for publicity, but not just making up stuff like this.

Also, in the picture that accompanies this article, she's a dead ringer for Barbara Bowman IMO. She could play her in a movie.

So she definitely appears to be Cosby's "type."

Interesting that it is news that he won't be speaking... I sort of always took it for granted that he wouldn't, after he had resigned in infamy.

I guess it's his birthright or something.

Judge permits new language to be inserted into the complaint over Cosby's objection that the additions would be "futile."

On Thursday, a federal judge overseeing a lawsuit by three women against Bill Cosby issued his first decision in the case.

A group of activists appalled by Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual assaults on women over multiple decades are planning to protest inside and outside his upcoming Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre concert date May 2.
...
Andrew Wyatt, a spokesman for Cosby, declined to comment about the protests.

Sara Georgiadis, a retired Savannah-based business owner, said some of the 40-plus women who have publicly accused Cosby of abuse charges are planning to attend.

The plan is to disrupt Cosby's show at all costs. "We have had time to organize, we intend to interrupt Bill Cosby [during the show] frequently and repeatedly," Georgiadis said in a statement. "This will not be a one-time interruption. ... Outback should join the U.S. Navy, Spelman College of Atlanta, NBC, Netflix, Temple University, and University of Massachusetts at Amherst in distancing themselves from Cosby until the allegations are addressed."
