"Real Housewives" Russell Armstrong Commits Suicide

I have had this 'feeling' shall we say, that the attorney whose client killed himself, has been changing, adjusting, and flat out lying in some cases about his dead client's situation.

The only thing I can think of is that he is trying to position himself with the surviving family (not including the wife) to represent them in sueing the pants off of Bravo.

And, I am now thoroughly convinced that he will say anything. Such as in appearances and reporting today, he has his dead client (and the wife) as having been flat broke. Not a penny to their name, even though they were renting a $9,000 a month house in a not so bad neighborhood, he would have you believe they were living in a squalor ridden area of say, East Los Angeles. Google it! Look up rentals in the Bel Air Crest area of Los Angeles.

So, what has convinced me of what I have felt all along, is that Francisco Martin was on the Joy Behar Show tonight. He was with Taylor when they went to the house and found the hanging body. Among other things the host asked him about the state of the finances, since he was (or is currently) a business partner with a new venture. He got plug in for it a few times, its called beautyticket.com, and I haven't checked it out yet, but Taylor is part of it, and he went on and on about how much backing Russell had secured for it, so he said, that stories that they were flat out broke are just not true.

Now, of course his interest is that customers (and investors) will see this new venture as a viable potentially growing company, whose revenues will know no bounds. And, he plans to continue the venture with Taylor as far as I could tell.

But, his stories are more believable to me than those of the attorney. I saw the $50,000 birthday party for the little kid with my own eyes. I thought at the time it was totally obnoxious, off the charts, just really pathetic. Bravo did not force them to spend that kind of money. Even Kyle's party for her little kid was a mere $6,000, which in my neighborhood is excessive. But not so gross, and in your face. Good god that was just miserable.

I think they are all to blame. Why was this Martin guy on tv already? I thought the family was in mourning. The only reason in my mind was that he was trying to promote his business. They all need to step away from this publicity, including Bravo, jmo.
Bravo should scrap the whole season if they can't edit out TA & RA's domestic situation.

I just checked out beautyticket.com and it doesn't look to be much of a savings. So is Taylor completely behind this company or in with others. Does anyone know? never mind I understand the attorney is in it with her and it was supposedly backed by the broke Taylor and Russell. Clear as mud.

i.b.nora or anyone else,

So if Francisco Martin and Taylor went to the house and then Francisco found the body (Taylor was outside, if I understand correctly)...

What prompted them to go to the house? Or, if FM was the roomie, why was Taylor with him and going to the house at that time? if they thought something was suspicious or caused them concern, what was it?

Just wondering if anyone has heard that part?
Well, from what I have pieced together from the various versions I have heard, it is as Patience said, that he was a no show for a meeting on Monday afternoon. From that, Taylor contacted other friends of his, etc. and no one had heard from him at all for at least a couple of days. Apparently, that alone was unusual.

With that, she got Francisco, their mutual friend and business partner to meet her at the Mulholland Drive house where Russell was staying. Here is what Francisco told OK magazine:
"Francisco, Russell and Taylor’s friend and the CEO of www.beautyticket.com, spoke to OK! about how he found out about Russell’s suicide and how Taylor is coping now.

“I had not heard from Russell since last Friday so I went to his place where he was staying together with Taylor,” Francisco explains. “I met her over there at the place. His roommate basically let us in and Taylor was outside waiting and we got into the house from a back window that was open because his door was locked. And we found his body there. That’s basically what happened.”"

I think they need to air the show, Russell and his behavior included. At the end they should include numbers for domestic violence and suicide hotline numbers.

Although Francisco said this whole beauty thing just recently launched in the last month or so, it seems that his being named CEO of the company was announced in July in one of the write it yourself news press releases: here
"July 07, 2011 12:02 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Beauty Ticket dot com Announces Francisco Martin as CEO, Will Pursue International Investment and Partnership Opportunities"

However, it appears that Taylor and possibly Russell joined forces with the company in January of 2011. This would be after the completion and showing of the first season of RHOBH and BEFORE the second season tapings began, I presume.

You can read the announcement of it here

BeautyTicket.com Names Taylor Armstrong as Chief Creative Director

Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star will provide strategic direction for the online beauty retailer

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BeautyTicket.com, the online retail destination for premium beauty brands up to 85% off, has named Taylor Armstrong as Chief Creative Director. Armstrong, who is known for her business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, has also purchased a 30% equity stake in the company.

“Taylor is not just a pretty face with a great sense of style”

Recently named InStyle’s “Best of the Web 2010,” and Women’s Wear Daily’s “Top Beauty e-Tailer,” BeautyTicket.com approached Armstrong after learning about her background in the ecommerce and management consulting arenas.

“Taylor is not just a pretty face with a great sense of style,” remarked Lindsay Pedder, CEO and founding partner of BeautyTicket.com. “She is the quintessential entrepreneur and has used her savvy to build and grow multiple businesses over the past decade. We believe that with her current role as a ‘television personality’ combined with her business expertise, she has the ability to take this company to a different level.”

and, blah blah blah. the announcement goes on.

If I didn't perhaps totally understand all this before, I think I do now.

The bottom line to this whole thing and mostly everything that happens, is money and protecting your brand. From Bravo, to Taylor, to the family of Russell, to Francisco and the Beauty Ticket, Ronald Richards the attorney who lost his penniless client, and on and on. And then there are the others who insert themselves into it in an effort to somehow enhance their brands, such as Daniele Staub and the Salahis.

I started to "get it" when I saw this quote by a step brother of Russell's in an interview with Radaronline:

"“Russell was a great guy, he helped out lots of family members when they needed money and he was always working really hard for everything he had.”"

I agree. I really don't get why, because he committed suicide, people think the show should be pulled. Why? Why not show what lead up to it? It's "real" (as real as reality TV is) life. What's to hide?

Why sweep domestic violence under the rug? To make an abuser look good because he's now dead? Really? The show finally has a worthwhile real topic and an oppurtuty to address ut and you want them to pretend it never happened?

Bravo may have very well saved Taylors life.

I don't understand- Taylor and Russell were still living together under the same roof?

Francisco is multi national and speaks good English but sometimes it is a little awkward. No, Taylor and Russell were NOT living together under the same roof. When Taylor couldn't reach Russell by phone or any other means, Taylor asked Francisco to meet her at the house on Mulholland Drive where Russell was living with some friend of his. So, they both drove separately to the house on Mulholland Drive where Russell was staying.

Bravo is not to blame for this. Taylor is not to blame for this. The media is not to blame for this.

Nobody made him be on the show. Nobody made him kill himself.

It's sad, but HE made the choices. Nobody else did.

So, here is a summary of just a few things in the last day or so:

Taylor has planned one of the memorial services for Russell. It will be this coming Wednesday at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills at the Church of the Hills, at 3:00 pm. (that facility holds 285 people - fyi)

Then, supposedly, Taylor will keep some of the ashes and the rest will go to Russell's family in Texas where those folks will do some kind of memorial.

In the meantime, the Los Angeles Coroner has some questions for Taylor.

It is reported that the coroner wants to know things like Russell Armstrong’s medical history, medication history, state of mind before suicide and more, states TMZ. Taylor has reportedly not yet gotten back to the coroner in regard to the interview.

I think it was Friday night, Jeanna Keoghe and Michaela Salahi were on one of the shows. Jeanna gave the most information and was fairly lucid as opposed to Michaela whose purpose there was unknown, at least to me.

Anyhow, Jeanna said and always reiterated it was 'her experience in the 5 seasons she did the show' that 'everyone knows those parties (such as the kid birthday party that Taylor and Russell gave) are donated by the vendors in return for a little 'airtime' for their products and services. So, that kind of dispels the information that Ronald Richard's ex and dead client was made penniless by Taylor and the show. I think he was on the show too, as a matter of fact. Every time I see him, every time he is interviewed, he gives different and conflicting information about his former client.

Jeanna also said that Bravo was very good with her family in particular when her husband did not want to be on camera. And, they arranged for accomodations for him. She was very complimentary of Bravo and her experiences with them, and how they looked after people. I am pretty sure she also reiterated that at least in her case, the husband did not get paid.

The gossip reporters and the paparrazzi were all in Santa Barbara this weekend so not much to say about this story.

I also read on TMZ that during filming, the production stopped because Russell beat Taylor so badly, her cheek bones were fractured.

Now, all things being equal, this is TMZ. But they are usually pretty well sourced. And if you take this into consideration and think about the proximity of the premiere date it seems to add up a little more for me.

Well, I might have spoken too soon, here is a very 'juicy' article regardiing the lawsuit by MyMedicalRecords.

Its a little hard to read because it is posted with no paragraph breaks, but, boy oh boy does it ever have alot of very interesting financial information in it, regarding both Russell and Taylor.

MyMedicalRecords.com to Continue Pursuit of Taylor Armstrong Lawsuit

Remember that first guy, Wil, that spoke out about Russell and what a great guy he was? Wil was one of the millionaires on Millionaire Matchmaker, the one that had some ownerships in a few restaurants? He was the one that I found shared an office address with Russell and had a business oddly enough called RA Capital Management at that location. Well, it turns out, according to this article that Russell and Taylor also own or owned part of the same Beso Restaurant. The restaurant is mostly associated with Eva Longoria, but there are/were other investors.

The article is just really fascinating and for all of Ronald Richards efforts to paint Russell as penniless and a victim of Bravo, I think it is going to backfire bigtime. This lawsuit alone, while its a mere 1.5 million, my god the web of deception it unfolds is astounding and I have the feeling its only the tip of the iceberg. I assume Bravo is keeping an eye on all of this.

If I was Bravo, I would disengage myself fully from both he and she as quickly as possible. Talk about 'toxic'. egads!

Enjoy the article!

I like Taylor. I think she tried her best in a marriage that was not that great.
