I personally have NO idea! :fence: And I haven't heard any rumors...
The 24 hours after little Max's fall were, without a doubt, fraught with anguish, heartbreak, emotional pain, despair and shock. The need to know exactly what happened would obviously lead to numerous potential scenarios and speculation. I can only imagine if I were a doctor and my very best friend's child was in critical condition, I would go to the end of the world to alleviate his pain.
Do I think he knows something that could shed light on the case? You bet. But just my opinion, as always.
I think you may be correct that Luber knows more about the circumstances surrounding Becky's death than we do. But I don't think he participated in Becky's lynching because I don't see that he had any reason to hate Becky. Did he blame Becky for Max's accident? I don't think so. Did he feel Jonah's pain? Likely, but as he said in Ann Rule's book, "Jonah loves Becky". I don't think Luber would hurt Becky when his best friend Jonah was happy and at peace with Becky.
Also, I think men tend to let other men, including their best friends, solve their own problems. Most men don't take other men's problems into their own hands. This doesn't mean they don't care about their friends, but that they believe their male friends can handle their problems on their own and is a sign of respect.
