My hairdresser heard it from someone in Tom's California entourage. That would explain all of the contract rumors. No doubt he had one with Nicole.
Well I can add to that. My sister's hairdresser, whose Aunt is friends with Tom Cruise's second cousin's cleaning lady swears Tom's gay because his ring finger on his right hand is much shorter than the rest of his fingers except for his pinky finger. Now that's some deep stuff.

The one thing I don't get is that Mimi Rogers had said they tried for so long to get her pregnant - didn't work. Same with Nicole. All of a sudden Nicole was pregnant at the end of their relationship and now Katie. Almost makes you wonder if he didn't want biological children - for whatever reason.

Maybe it's just after years of practicing he finally got it to work right! :innocent:

I've always thought this was strange, too. I thought he was sterile for years, I was shocked when it came out that Nicole was pregnant!

I'm a little surprised about Katie being pregnant, too. Just call it instincts, but something is funny about it.

IMO

There is no such thing as children in this cult. They are deemed to be "small adults" and are in no need of supervision, care, displicine, guidence.

CyberLaw, Please recall what this cult has done to my brother, my family and how I feel about this cult while you read this, I am not defending them, no WAY, no How! I just read some things that I must disagree on. I mean nothing bad by it! :blowkiss:

In Scientology terms, a child is a "thetan", in our terms that would be the same thing as saying the "spirit" or the individual himself

CyberLaw said:
They apparently were adults in another life and have the skills, knowledge to be the "adults" that they were in another life.........So a 6 year old is expected to make his own dinner, do his own wash, take care of all of his needs, make his own lunch(if food is available) because he knows how.......
He is also expected not be "raised" by his parents, they MAY see him/her maybe in the VERY best circumstances a whole hour a day. The parents work has to be very high in productivity, they must "earn" the priviledge of seeing their child........sometimes parents "forget" they even have kids......or months may go by before they even see them, or they don't know where they are "housed".......children are subjected to the same punishment as adults, there is no distinction........
Young children as young as 6 are "audited" and expected to do work..

Scientology believes in a reincarnation of sorts... When your body dies, your thetan continues to live and will come back in anothers body, thus, allowing every Scientologist to have *many* shots at living and getting it right.

I don't think Scientology means that children were "adults" in other lives, and are expected to be "adults" and work as adults do and cook for themselves and watch themselves and have no rules. What they are saying is the child is indeed a thetan... and has those capabilities, he/she just needs to grow and realize he/she has them.
Although they explain that differently then I do. this is how they explain it...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Man is an immortal, spiritual being. His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized — those capabilities can be realized." (Scientology.org)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of Scientology's biggest claims is that if EVERYONE joined their "church" then everyone could come back from the dead over and over again and eventually we will all get it right and then it will be a perfect world with no crime, war, mental illness, etc..

The Sea Org. is the Org in which a "billion year" contract is signed, it is also were children are treated in the manner you describe, it and places like it are also were the "slave labor" takes place.

Sea Org. is were people joining the cult who have nothing to offer finacially are "sent"

Most Scientologists have their own homes they live in, Most Scientologists have real jobs, most Scientologist women are stay at home moms, their kids are in play groups, go to the park, etc.. Most Scientologists are financially well off.. after all, the church is after their money.

I feel Krazy Kruise is with Katie to influence a younger generation to "come aboard" the Scientology cult. She is young, inexperienced and now pregnant and he is older and Tom Cruise who lives and breathes Scientology.

After all she was very popular with teens and 20 something with Dawson Creek.......all she has to do is appear on talk shows and "speak" in glowing terms in regards to "wonderful" Tom and "push" Scientology........talk about recruitment........all is calculated........nothing this cult does is by anthing except design........nothing is left to chance..........

I agree with this 100% !!

I watched 2 episodes of little house today and i would like to believe that about half pint too.....
I did too. LOL. Pa always cried more than Ma. Makes me nuts.

As for Tom Cruise, he is weird, I loved him in Risky business and top gun, but after he divorced Nicole I just decided I couldn't stand him. I really did not care for Nicole all that much till after the divorce. I think she is a great actress. She has had more hits than Tom has for a long time. As for Katie, I hope she doesn't get PPD. God forbid that!

Thanks for reading my post:dance:

Michelle-
When people are just joining, or thinking of joining, Scientology they are told that Scientology is non-denominational. They say ALL religions are welcomed and they will not try to sway your beliefs. But the truth is that you can't be both a Christian, Catholic, etc and a Scientologist!

L.Ron Hubbard believed that Jesus was a myth electronically implanted in our minds!
It is so very sad because my mother brought us up Catholic--by the book!
And now, I don't know if my brother still believes in God because of these cult FREAKS!

L. Ron Hubbard is who the Scientologists "worship"... HE is what they believe!
Sick, huh?

From the day my brother joined this cult, I did research on it and IMO it sure it a CULT! I don't know if you have read any of my past postings on Scientology but my story is there.

We came from a home, a long line of family of Irish Catholics. We knew what was what, we came from a "broken" home, but it was a good home. We always had TUNS of lovin'. My brother was the only one who fell by the wayside, leaving behind his sisters, his *mother*, our step-father. withought so much as a second glance. The day he joined that cult was the day he chose THEM for his family. I sure broke our hearts but we kept assumeing he wouldn't last long with these freaks... thought he was smart enough to *see through their bull $h^T . 10 yrs. later, he's still one of them! :banghead:

Yes, my brother and his wife (and my now 4 month old Nephew) are Scientologists... and I fear for each of them, daily!

My guess is she'll be brainwashed enough to be able to do it. Leah Remini and Preston did it. I saw Remini holding on to something and using it as leverage during birth. Maybe it keeps your mind busy??

Can someone point me where it says they don't talk around the baby for a week? In the Travolta-Preston interview, they just said until the baby is born. Then after about a minute, they go back to talking etc. The quiet is supposed to make the pain of the babies not be remembered with any memories of sounds and words...

Wwwhhhhaaaatttteeevvvveeerrrrr....

Wonder when and why he converted to this cult. From an interview I saw with him and Oprah, he was going on about his childhood and how it was not recognized that he was dyslexic until much later in life and he made some comments, which I can't remember now, but definately remember thinking, how his parents had used some kind of medication with their child/him as he'd been misdiagnosed. That means his parents weren't Scientologists right?

No one can imagine the pain of childbirth until they experience it, so I think that once Katie goes into labor, it may be the end of their love story. I can see her yelling F*** You*** Tom, I'm the one going through this, I want the drugs NOW, and her imagined love affair with him, if even real, will end at that point. Since she's so new to this cult, I really think she's only joining it because she's so in love with him and therefore doing it for him. Who among us haven't learned or studied something for our loved ones when the love was new (with me it was golf because hubby loved golf so much), but I really think when reality sets in, and that could very well be during labor, and when se see's that beautiful baby, she'll go back to the sane person she was before become Tom's little puppet. The baby will bring about the end of the Tom/Katie circus if she's smart and puts that baby's welfare first as most mothers do.

I heard he had "interviewed" a few young ladies but most bolted at the thought of Scientology.
Scarlett Johannson rings a bell as one in my mind.

Taking this rumor further, I've also heard that Scientology has offered "contracts" to the women in his life - Nicole and Katie. It was speculated that Nicole was given a "10 year" contract and Katie a "5 year" contract wherein they would agree to marry him to serve as a "wife" and he would in turn further their careers. Don't know if that is true either, but did find it interesting that he and Nicole ended their marriage right at the 10 year mark.

Also, Nicole's career certainly took off after becoming Mrs. Cruise. Let's see what happens with Katie's.

Rumor also has it that prior to Katie, Tom was interested in Kate Bosworth, who turned down a meeting with him. Good for her!

Does anyone else find it kinda "creepy" about the fact that tom said on oprah he had watched katie's work and basically had someone call her and set up a "meeting", it seems to me like tom has a reputation on doing this, he was married to mimi rogers then he seen nicole kidman in dead calm and had someone "call her" and have her in days of thunder with him the rest is history. Then he does vanilla sky and next we know he is divorcing nicole and hooked up with penelope, hmmmmm....sounds weird to me...
Yes, I find it very strange. But then, I find him strange in general and Scientology even stranger.
And don't get me started on celebrities who want their children to have normal lives, so they plead throughout the nine months of pregnancy, but then name said children with such delightful monikers such as Apple, Coco and Jett.
Jett should be glad his daddy likes to fly planes and not just ride a bike. Or ski obsessively.

Okay, this morning I heard that Katie's family (and her father specifically) is furious at Katie being pregnant. They're very strict Catholics and believe that she's disgraced her entire family. The rumor is that her father told Tom off in a big way.

I also heard that Tom's sister sent a letter to every member of Katie's family church and told them to never discuss Katie or Tom with the press. She may be a female, but sounds like she's got some pretty big balls.

Remember Rock Hudson. Such a handsome guy from the time he was a young man. He married a few times...saw his first wife interviewed not long ago. It was so interesting. She was upfront and honest about their relationship but didn't really have a bad thing to say about him. If my memory serves me, which it doesn't always as we know, she didn't know Rock was gay until much later and they did have a normal sex life for quite awhile.

Anyway, Rock was always dating a beautiful woman...always seen around Hollywood with one on his arm...lots of pictures. There were rumors here and there but it wasn't a known fact, that Rock was gay, until he got aids.

What a waste of a beautiful man. Ole Tom looks like a turd next to Rock Hudson in his younger years.

It looks to me like Tommy is trying to prove something to the world...smooching and hugging in public...sharing with the world that Kate was a virgin until she met Hot Stuff Cruise...got Kate pregnant right off the bat...WHAT A MAN  In my book a REAL MAN doesn't have to be a loud mouth braggert to prove that is what he is.

It's like the guy that goes around bragging about what a great lay he is..."once you have sex with me you will NEVER want to have sex with anyone else" bragging about how big he is "down younder." In truth the guy is a lousy lay and is lucky if he has a inch. Those that have it feel no need to flaunt it because they don't need to. They know who and what they are. They are very :silenced: closed mouthed about their abilities and very secure within themselves.

Cruise is so obvious that he might as well wear a big sign on his back. I don't know if he is gay although nothing would surprise me but he is obviously insecure within himself and wants the world to believe he is a Super Stud...gross.
Excellent post, Bobbi!

That was rather "ballsy" of Tom's sister...people can discuss whatever the heck they want with the press as long as it's not libel. If they want to say how disgusted they are at this situation, they can do that. Tom's sister better go in and get neutered. :p

I don't blame Katie's father. I don't know the details of the pregnancy or if it is even Tom's. However, why didn't they just get married first?

I wonder if the family heard of Katie's pregnancy from her or through the news? I also wonder if Katie is keeping in touch with her family or if she will be discouraged from contacting them.
