Resemblance of McDuff and BSL

Oh -----! ScAry stuff!
I noticed mcduffs front teeth slanted towards the back. I recall reading that BSL got braces for the same slant.

We never knew why bsl had braces correct? Pics with the braces only showed them on his back teeth some posters where saying.

Actually it's creepy close in looks!
I am so hoping violence is not hereditary! Maybe the tendency towards it given environmental factors, but something that doesn't have to be!
Obviously I have a heartfelt reason for hoping this. /

scientists say its a mixture if genetics and environment. Remember if what someguy (a relative if bsl) said is true then bsl sustained severe abuse so this would also be a case of environment. If his father was mcduff he still may have turned out normal without the years of abuse someguy spoke of.

I sure understand! But I also look at what has been filed against BSL. They specifically said she and LP were murdered. I cannot imagine they going forward with 1st degree murder X 2 without substantial evidence. My personal feeling regarding mickey's courageous fight and the charges against BSL ....let's bring it to the finish for her win!

Isn't Jully 1999 when Lisa Pate was murdered according to the recent grand jury indictment?

The Bad Boy From Rosebud, a serial killer named Kenneth Allen McDuff, was executed on November 17, 1998. McDuff’s notoriety results not just from the frightening nature of his crimes, but also from the journey that returned him to death row AFTER having been paroled from the first death sentence he received for murders he committed in 1966. (death sentence commuted to life & then paroled)

McDuff is the only convicted killer in American history to have been assigned two different death row numbers and sentenced to two different forms of execution by three different juries.

McDuff’s parole in 1989 made it possible for him to murder again, which in turn resulted in one of the largest prison construction projects in the history of the free world.

"Lives of Quiet Desperation"

That one is about the lives of the Acadian people...it goes into talks of the civil war and battles that occurred and the likes. It seems like a book a history nerd (ooh, me...me) would like. I did order the Bad Boy book in paperback, I think it's coming in tomorrow (Mon 8/5/12) I wish it had been available ON Kindle but it wasn't.

I'm just curious why GML chose McDuff...I mean there is a boat load of killers on death row that have committed some pretty weird things; I can only guess that there is a personal reason. I read a book called, "Guilty but Insane" by Pookie Marceaux...Pookie wrote his book because the guy in the book lived across the street and basically grew up/was raised like family. Ann Rule's "The Stranger Beside Me" about Bundy was written because they worked together at a crisis center. She was drawn to write about him. I'm thinking of contacting GML and asking, why did you write about him...and not someone else?

While appearing on K-EYE News, a CBS affiliate in Austin, Rosenda Rios asked me why I am bringing more attention to Kenneth McDuff. That, too, is a fair question and the answer is equally simple: As someone who loves history, I have no choice, and all I can do is assure the people of Rosebud, and a little boy who no longer has his mother to raise him, that I will write history, not contribute to folklore, and that McDuff richly deserves the kind of attention I will give him.

I have been asking myself if I am crazy and seeing a resemblance and connections that are not there. I realize that the chances are quite slim that they are related. I asked a couple of people who have not followed this case and never heard of km what they thought of the pics above. The 3 people I asked see a strong resemblance.

I just called my husband to show him both photo's and many different ones of each in a line up. He is a retired Air Force Cop. I asked him in his professional cop's eye opinion do you think that there could be a linkage of family traits with the two. Hub said "NO" I asked why...he said well BSL isn't smiling...LMAO

Gary's second book, The Bad Boy from Rosebud was released in July of 1999. Dan Rather of CBS News called it "classic crime reporting." The paperback version of Bad Boy from Rosebud was released by St Martin's Press in November 2001. It is still available and is entitled Bad Boy.

Lavergne was convicted of oral sexual battery on February 18, 2000. Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reports indicate that Brandon Scott Lavergne pleaded guilty to aggravated oral sexual battery in exchange for a 10-year sentence and the dismissal of the related aggravated burglary charge.

Lavergne was incarcerated in the C. Paul Phelps Correctional Center from February 2000 until August 9, 2008. He was released 2 years early and remained under parole supervision until February 2010.

So while waiting to go to trial or Jail BSL killed LP. What did he know he was going to jail and had to kill to get his jolly's before he is locked up? Only 2 months from the first attack to LP murder.

SK pick up the pace on their killing....to me BSL had to have killed many many more.
