The letter was the perfect thought to leave the jury with for the weekend. There was at least one other bombshell today, at least to me...JM brought out the possibility that TA and CMJA never really were boyfriend/girlfriend (exclusive). CMJA simply wished that were the case or thought that was the case where TA didn't (and likely he didn't know she thought it was something other than what it was...friends with benefits)

I'm not sure they had to open a door. Juan has had this in his back pocket this whole time. IMO he discussed it with the family and decided now is the right time to present it.

Travis' family finally allowed the 18-page letter she wrote to be introduced into trial. And it was something. First she starts out by detailing when the went official in the their relationship so she could let them know that he cheated on her and didn't treat her right (motive?!?) Then she went into a very detailed explanation of how Travis died at the hands of the intruders and how she escaped with her life. It was a lie and it was very graphic in describing Travis's final moments and what "they" did to him. She closes by saying Travis was still a good guy even if he was flawed. And that was just part of the letter. Not a good moment for her.

What a day! Can someone please speculate why she admits to her snooping TA's phone in the letter to his family? I'm puzzled because that admission seems so unlike her. Was it simply because she couldn't resist getting another dig at him by telling his family that it was proof he "cheated" on her? That's all I can think of.

Can someone link me to the letter or info about it?

They did NOT let it out during the first trial. This was explained by KCL. They never intended to release it because it was too awful so they held onto it. This is new for Juan. If he had this before he no doubt would have used it.

Chris Hughes has said the family didn't want it made public. Maybe the latest computer fiasco the DT put them through pushed them over the edge?

Let's all light a candle tonight, for the strength and courage Travis' family has shown for the last 6 years. For finally having the courage to release the letter, that they've probably read a million times each. The letter that just sealed the cold blooded killers fate.

The full copy is not anywhere. I think Beth Karas gave the fullest description of what Juan presented today. If you find Hope4More's posts she gives a good run down.
