Another thing is that Jodi likes to think of herself as special. I remember her in the interrogation room and everyone time the lady cop came in she'd make demands of her. "Can you turn the heat on?" "Can you get me a sweater?" "Can you get these cuffs of me?" Same thing in her life. "Can you loan me money?" "Can I get your car?" "Can I come on that trip with you?" She pulled it on Stephens, as well. "Can you make the media leave so I can testify without fear?" She leaves no room for you to say no. It's narcissistic and it goes back to that control. She needed to feel it again as she's completely lost any kind of control over anyone in jail. And it makes her feel important.

What is really really curious to me is why the attention loving narcissistic sociopath Jodi Arias would not want more attention on her at this stage. Anyone have a guess?
Self-preservation ranks very high to psychopaths - they hate being exposed for what they are. But for Jodi to understand just how badly she came across last time around she'd have to have some insight and it's pretty evident that trait is sorely lacking.

Psychopaths only tend to do what's in their best interests at the time - even things that seem absolutely crazy or suicidal to the rest of us - so I can only believe one of two things. The payout is greater for her somehow if her testimony remains secret - like if she got a ton of hate mail from people who literally watched every second of her 18 days on the stand and called her out on each and every lie. A psychopath, when confronted, will adapt and change tactics. And she even gets to play the victim card - big bonus. Or...

Psychopaths love little games. They live to control. They adore setting people up and engineering circumstances. Add to that, Jodi is the very first defendant in history (probably) to be allowed to testify in super secret proceedings because she's oh so special the rules of procedure will bend for her and her alone. That may well satiate her narcissism and she wouldn't have to deal with haters for awhile. ;)

Did that happen? I wasn't aware of it at the time. Did he release the man's name?

Yes he did. He identified him in an online article. I was at the courthouse waiting for the verdict. He
had also reported that the jury had hung but in a more obtuse way (but like he already knew this). I started poking around asking the PIO and other reporters also waiting and he redacted the foreperson out of his article. But he sure did know a day before it was released...and published it, then redacted it.

Nope, I didn't. I think she and those other simple fools just tweet that stuff to get a rise out of people. Poor things.

OMG. Wait. What?? That is really her twitter name? I thought that was just you guys making fun of her...:blushing:

Real twitter name.

You're right, Nali. I'll go back to ignoring them.

There are rumors swirling around about Arias' testimony.

On this forum, I read she was up to or near telling about meeting Travis.

From another source, I picked up that she was telling about physical abuse as a child.

Neither of these tidbits named a source. Keep in mind that very few people were privy to see and hear the witness.

Just a reminder to use a healthy dose of skepticism regarding what may or may not have been said in court. The only peeps I can think of who would divulge this are Arias first, then MDLR or lastly, a member of Travis' family. The family has been very closed mouthed, so I doubt it came from them. As for MDLR, who can say? She is active on social media and highly involved with CMJA's inner circle of supporter.

It did. He didn't release the name but he reported it was juror #18 when it was still sealed information. He pulled it from the article when he realized.

I'd like to guess! I think CMJA knew that her "testimony" would be tweeted far and wide--and she sure didn't want to hear our opinions of it. She is such a narcissist that she really can't stand it when other people express their outrage at her lying self! She probably thought this jury would listen to her latest "poor little me" rant--if only she could keep us "haters" at bay. :jail:

Did you guys read Maria's latest tweet? (I don't use Twitter or Facebook)

I don't like to pay attention to people like her but this tweet is hilariously disturbingly stupid.

@cougarloucious -- Great day today, ended well.

LOL! She must be reading The Secret.

IMO, she thrives off her"haters" so I don't believe this fact motivated her even a little bit. It was a control and manipulation game to her, classic narcissist sociopathic behavior

That's right...not the name, the number! Something like "Juror foreperson, number 18...blah blah" then he pulled it

Oh your last paragraph reminds me of what AzLawyer said. I bet she LOVED having JSS doing what she wanted.

Snipped

No kidding. I would love to have seen Dr. F explain how miss "suffer in silence" got the Constitution of the United States of America set aside for her own manipulative purposes.

To me, Cmja Being the secret witness simply gives reason why JM was so whatever about the situation. Since it was cmja herself, jm knew he'd annihilate her testimony whether given in secret or in open court it didn't matter to him. What mattered to him was keeping the trial on track since she was such an easy opponent for him

Good point.

Well, story #1: Wasn't there, #2: Ninjas, #3: Self defense, so it would just lead me to think that story #4 is on tap..........blame it on Neapolian?

Maybe she was afraid the Ninjas would infiltrate the jail and get her with a shiv before the needle can.

Part of the reason, I think is Juan Martinez. She wants to deny him more time under the spotlight, doing what he does best - exposing every one of her murderous lies. He made her look utterly ridiculous. People abe great affection for him, from all over the world. There are other reasons, of course.

PS: KatieCoolady - THAT IS JUAN MARTINEZ IN A PHOTO WITH YOU! What is he like in person? Was that from court? Also, did you ever see him in court? How different is the intensity from on TV? Has anyone else here witnessed Juan in court, in person?

BBM

That might be it exactly, but I hope it's something to get her best bud to testify against her.

I just can''t fathom that she, knowing this is likely her last hurrah in the media, would only be on the stand for that limited time and in secret. I think she was setting something up in regards to this last Dr. F. But we haven't seen the last of her.

@maryellenabc15: #abc15 requested testimony transcipt from #JodiArias testimony implied in court papers 10/30/14 when court was closed 2 press&public #abc15

  • #375
@maryellenabc15: According 2 Appeals Court order it IMPLIES the mystery witness the defense tried to block out the press & public from was #JodiArias #abc15

Why do people keep saying this? They didn't imply it, they said it! "...testimony by Jodi Arias." Why would they say that if it was someone else?

Thanks, gcharlie. There are many rumors out there, but I'm sure we'll find out the relevant bits of the testimony when Martinez begins cross examination.

If someone is testifying on her behalf, can be it be considered testimony by her (or her side)? I don't know, far-fetched maybe..

That doesn't make sense to me, but anything is possible.

Question for the board: If Judge Stephens were to write a book after this was over would you read it? Maybe explaining some of her thinking/decisions/personal experience withthis case?
No...Juan's is probably the only book I'd want to read and maybe Travis' family. But I'd probably get too upset reading their story.
