What is really really curious to me is why the attention loving narcissistic sociopath Jodi Arias would not want more attention on her at this stage. Anyone have a guess?

I'll guess.

Someone already posted this as a possibility--sorry I do not recall who--but it sounds plausible to me:

JA wanted to testify to abuse by her parents, probably something far worse than being hit by the spoon, but she didn't want the testimony out in the media because it could hurt her family's attempts to beg for money for "Jodi Arias's appeal."

Really, I think it has to be something as simple as that because I do not think JA or her DT care if anyone is maligned, deservedly or not. But I have no doubt they care about what might affect fundraising.

If the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was deleted before the last trial why didn't it come up then?

Apparently this latest 'defense computer expert', who had requested the actual hard drive and not the forensic mirror image LE had made in 2008, found some very specific date-stamped 🤬🤬🤬🤬-deleting activity on June 19, 2009. This was when the HD was securely in the possession of LE and the Pros. so they accused them of doing it intentionally, a possible Brady violation, and wanted Arias set free as a result.

There was much speculation and self-doubt among the sane public about how LE could 'splain themselves'. Then JM blew it all up in the defense's face when he showed that on June 19, 2009 the previous defense team had demanded to see the actual laptop booted up. It is this that caused various 🤬🤬🤬🤬-centric virus and antivirus activity to make tossed salad of the hard drive and lead the present defense team to believe they had just found the Jodi Arias get out of jail free card. That's the meat of the issue.

There is still controversy over the fact that there were these viruses on the HD, and at least links to 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites (though maybe virii generated) when the original testimony was that the HD held no viruses or 🤬🤬🤬🤬. But that last assertion was made by both the prosecution and defense experts last time, so it'll probably end up being a wash. And this trial could use a good washing.

ETA: Title to this motion: 'JA getting off on 🤬🤬🤬🤬.'

BN said last week he was WAY too busy to do it until late next week. And of course JSS said nothing, even though he already had two chances to produce it.

I thought the Judge gave him until yesterday to produce the disk because he was suppose to be out of town on Monday. They are back in court on the 4th so JM getting the disk on the 3rd would not give his techs much time to look at the disk?

To me, the weakest part of BN's testiphony came when asked if he did his research from a copy of the ORIGINAL mirror of the Compaq's hard drive. IIRC, it was done well before June 19, 2008, when the defense at the time requested to boot up the computer.

BN said he didn't bother looking at it because he KNEW it was corrupted.

Huh? Refusing to look at the original and making assumptions isn't exactly a scientific study. It's all about what he thinks... and he thinks what the defense wants him to think.

There is an inherent weakness in his testimony right there. It's not exactly scientific to start an "investigation" with anticipation of the outcome based on bias.

Meanwhile, who knows what shenanigans are going on in BN's shell-game disc dispute. I'm sure he is short-sheeting the prosecution by not giving over the disc until there isn't enough time to do a thorough comparison analysis by the prosecution expert.

I do hope and pray JM is getting an outside (FBI?) expert to do the comparison. In that case, I also hope he has JSS sanction the defense and BN for failing to turn the disc over in a timely way if the prosecution did not get it yesterday.

:autumn: Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Question for the board: If Judge Stephens were to write a book after this was over would you read it? Maybe explaining some of her thinking/decisions/personal experience withthis case?

Yes, I would read her book. I'm sure I'll read all books written about this trial, for sure I would read a book by Juan Martinez. I might even read one written by the murderer's family, maybe :/ her brother or sister.

Not one by anyone on the DT

Was the case where her ethics were called into question simply a matter of 'this information would not have caused the jury to decide in favor of the accused' ? IIRC the convict was appealing his conviction?

Maybe you're right - I don't recall that. It seemed stupid for her not to tell him he was full of carp.

I'd read it, but she would probably publish it under seal.

Is it any surprise how disrespectful all these DT witnesses are? JSS lets KN sit there 'reclinated' like he's ready to prop his feet up on the table. He doesn't even have the common courtesy to stand when he objects. She reminded him of it one day and forgot it the next, same thing that happened with JW, the queen of the speaking objection. No wonder all their witnesses act like petulant children when they see how disrespectful the lawyers are.

I figured it was a trick question (like in that Joe Pesci/Marisa Tomei movie about the 'youts') - you can't say whether you would read it because she'll never finish it.

My Cousin Vinny. Great movie!

Is her wrist brace due to punching the concrete wall? Drywall was so easy to punch and so forgiving!

I'm still wondering whether JA is a hermaphrodite, or as it's called these days, intersex(her pics from the "photo shoot" they supposedly had that day got me wondering). I had even tried asking Dr.Drew last year what he thought, but of course if he ever addressed my question I missed it. :/ Anyway, perhaps that would fall under the veil of unconventional sex studies?

No, her anomalies lie between her ears, not between her legs.

I'm kind of the opinion Thanksgiving dinner in prison should be an all out down home thing to remind the prisoners what they could be appreciating at HOME had they not committed CRIMES. The Grapes of Wrath (movie) begins with Tom Joad returning from prison lamenting one thing he had missed most was the Mother's made food.

What is turkey soy casserole?

http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/va...ksgiving_meal_for_inmates_sounds_horrific.php

The main course of this year's meal is something called "turkey soy casserole." (Recall that Arpaio forced the inmates into vegetarianism a few months ago.)

We tried to Google "turkey soy casserole recipes" and came back with nothing of the sort. Inmates who say prayers before meals may want to consider using that time to pray for their own safety.

Whatever "turkey soy casserole" is, inmates are getting five ounces of it.

As always, keep in mind that many of Arpaio's inmates haven't been convicted of crimes (something about a presumption of innocence).
