So, why is there time comparision an issue? Who brought up the time difference?

Just asking, because I don't get why they are looking at 2 timestamps when AZ doesn't recognize DST, so the time never changes?

It might if someone is using their computer or camera or phone with a Cali timezone to add stuff(pics, viruses, videos, etc) to the files, or pull stuff from a pc with the AZ timezone.

Then she has lost all authority; it doesn't get worse than that. Should we start calling her Judge Nell?

Snidely: "Pay the Rent!"

Nell: "I can't pay the Rent!!"

just making me chuckle......lol

I agree. And I do not even care if she gets the DP anymore. She is already DEAD. Let her rot in prison forever. Who cares. :jail:

I know the Alexander Family prefers the DP and I totally understand. But at this point I think we are all more worried about her CONVICTION sticking. And I bet they are concerned about that as well. I wish this whole ugly mess of a trial could just end right now with a LWOP/ End of Story. No more circus.

I guess Travis was right about her being a "corrupted carcass". You are correct, she IS already dead.

She's also talking on the chat right now with people and answering questions. She believes they must have known the questions came from her and that it's possible that's why she was targeted.

Like I guessed in my other post, she said she believes she was moving "in the right direction" and her findings after the fact have just solidified that.

How do they know what questions come from who? Do they compare their hand writing to something they have written? Certainly they are not mind readers like Dr F.

Good point.

Hopefully there will be justice soon. Travis and his family are still the focus in sane peoples minds. I have never been able to grasp how anyone can defend a cold blooded murderer, my mind just won't take me there and I'm glad. Even IF I could believe a self defense claim (I can't), it still wouldn't negate the wounds he suffered. All of this has been so unreal to me.. like a bad movie that the script got effed up. I still have 100% confidence in JM, and know he will bring it full circle. :winner:

We need Troy to do another story about the differences between the lives of the general pop, the new LWOP, and the DP inmates ... perhaps get some of the siblings to re?-address why they want the DP and not LWP or even LWOP. Though anyone that has followed this case surely can't forget the bro's plea....

Btw, is it just me that can't hear JM in this video clip?

Do you think Judge Stephens' attitude has anything to do with it because to me she seems really dismissive of jurors and their lives?

I think in most trials the jurors are not given enough consideration. They are, after all, people. They have families, lives, commitments that go along with all that and it really is asking a lot of them to put everything on hold for jury duty. I think at least there should be some effort made to give jurors a reasonable picture of the time frame of the trial and then try as much as possible to stick to that time frame. JSS does not seem to think that is important, though she does seem quick to dismiss jurors--be it at their request or the request of [someone else].

I really cannot see how this trial can conclude still having a full jury. Aren't we down to 14 or 15 now? And how many will be dismissed next month when a new jury poll is taken about problem dates they have in February?

What a mess this all is, much of which is Nurmi's doing. But enough of it falls back on JSS. I'm waiting for her to end court one day by walking over and shaking hands with the killer.

BK's video tonight stated she thought that the judge was being extremely careful because this is a DP case and in the 9th circuit which allowed a new trial for Debra Milke, who had served 20 years on death row. I got the feeling the 9th circuit isn't too keen on the death penalty.

She also said that subpoenas can be difficult to enforce in a different state because it would be up to that state to arrest and incarcerate someone that failed to appear. It moves into the financial aspect and gets pretty hairy.

Just my take on what she said.

I can hear it just fine. Yes, I wish he would do that also.

Well, apparently this delay is not because of Nurmi's appeal but because his next witness is not available until Monday. Lol figures.

But the rest of your post I agree with wholeheartedly. Well said. This is his strategy and we're all onto it now.

Last I recall, he already had a witness on the stand, no need to call another one until JM gets his turn crossing it and holy caterpillars! he doesn't even have to send out a search party for it, it's already sitting there in the courtroom. :moo:

Except that the dead don't continue to kill.

JA will kill again.

Given enough time she will scheme the opportunity. Whether she escapes and murders on the outside, or confines her predatory behavior to other inmates, guards, legal and medical professionals, etc. she will kill again.

I suppose, but the context is Travis' computer running Spybot at 144 pm on Jun04/08.

In BKs court report, its seems like Juan and BN have a discussion of TAs laptop time. Juan corrects BN with it 244 pm, not 144 pm. BN agrees. Just confused, hut, as we know, we are currently in trial by Twitter mode.

At this point, id be giddy if SOMEBODY, ANYBODY told Jodi NO, you cannot have your way. We are not going to turn into contoursitionists at your every desire, and want. We know what happens anytime anybody tries to tell jodi no. But in this case, there will be nothing she can do about it.

As much as I want this to be the last and final round for this mess, I would not blame every single remaining juror if they were to ask to be dismissed. Seriously, at the rate this thing is going it could easily go into and beyond February and I think it is asking an awful lot of the jurors to stick with it indefinitely. Civic duty it is but come on, there comes a time when it isn't even realistic to call it that anymore.

This will go into February especially if JSS allows a break for Nurmi to file an appeal with the AZ supreme Ct. JSS has put zero restrictions on the defense. What's so shocking is that one of the main jobs of presiding judges is to act as case manager and to manage the time and flow of cases and trials. She has failed miserably at managing this case.

It's almost a certainty that this case will go into February and I will be surprised if they will be able to keep the mandatory number of jurors due to all the stalling. But of course that's their strategy at this point.

BN was suppose to turn over what Juan wants by 5pm today. Did that happen?
