JA wrote a check to TA for $699. I always thought that was to pay her share of the trips.

When you enlarge the notation it doesn't look like it starts with an A, rather a T or J (see the line at the base of the script above it?). The second letter looks like how she writes an 'r', for a bit there I was wondering if they ever went to Tahoe and she just didn't know how to spell it. lol

Just for my own mental health, I am deciding not to care whether she does get the DP or not. Either way, she is in jail FOREVER. She will never be free again. Ever. I would like her to be sentenced to DEATH, but if not, so be it. I will not take it as a defeat. She will still suffer forever. :jail:

No matter what sentence she gets JA will spin it as a win and smile, and no matter which cell she occupies in Perryville she will find petty ways to torment the Alexanders and to promote herself.

With equal certainty, no matter how hard JA tries to stay in the spotlight, her redeculously overextended time there is about over. 99% of the media has already moved on. Her Faithful Four, like her, feed on drama to survive. JA locked away in solitude for years isn't gonna be enough to keep them around.

I do not believe half of what Jodi says concerning she and Travis' sexual encounters. The Hughes were Travis' dear friends and I do not think he would disrespect them to the point of having forbidden sex in their home. Jodi has no morals, but Travis did except for some lapses in judgment instigated by Jodi.

Reality is, for the entire length of their 5 month "relationship" Travis chose to meetup with JA at the Hughes' home. The ultraconservative Mormons, judgemental Hughes.

If he'd been interested in having sex with JA, he wouldn't have used the Hughes' home as a rendevous place, he would have met up with her in hotel rooms.

Lies lies lies.

That is what I recall Dr. D saying as well. However, JA received books about domestic violence from the DT experts, IIRC, which probably gave her information which she used to impugn Travis's character while making herself seem more like a DV victim. It isn't beyond belief that she might have similarly received information which would allow her to skew the results of tests designed to reveal psychopathy in a subject. She seems to be a psychopath to me as a layman, and I could get away with referring to JA as a psychopath.

Dr. D, on the other hand, could not do so. Her position as an expert witness requires that she be consistent in the information she gives to the court. If she wavered and described JA as a psychopath, the DT could discredit her since they know the scores of those tests as well as JM or Dr. D do. If the test results do not give Dr. D the back up for such a designation, the best she can do, IMO, is describe JA's actions and clearly state that her BPD is a condition that may be a mental illness or personality disorder but is not legal insanity, that it is not an excuse for murder. She has defended Travis Alexander. Her testimony, I believe, has given the jury the grounds to see JA as a psychopathic remorseless killer even without attaching the name "psychopath".

Makes me wonder! She had help with the other tests by experts. What if they helped her with this test by telling her before she took it!

Good morning fellow Sleuthers!

I watched the crime scene reenactment videos posted by a talented new Websleuther Gray Huze, and wow... very impressive, interesting and devastating. Poor, poor Travis.

I also watched the video posted (sorry can't remember by who) with the retired FBI profiler/ex prosecutor and I have to admit, once and for all- I absolutely do not want her to get the death penalty.

Before you all throw tomatoes at me and I am certain most of you are very good aims- I don't want her name in the spotlight and news for the next 10-20 year- period. Of anyone she absolutely deserves it- I believe that with every fiber of my being- but it IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. The ridiculousness of that alone is... well, ridiculous.

I know, I know she will be in solitary and have little interaction with others, but along with that- this will drag on and on for years and years.

If you haven't watched the video posted earlier, I recommend you do. He says she will get another set of top rate attorneys and the appeals will go on for at least a decade- most likely TWO- and I absolutely DO NOT WANT FOR THE ALEXANDERS.

I am sorry- they have every right to want what they want -but in my opinion only- they cannot see the forest through the trees- and by then with years and years more of Jodi in the spotlight and headlines- it probable WILL destroy some of them.

With this new information (posted above) on the 9th circuit- I feel even stronger- I DO NOT WANT HER TO EVER GET OUT ON A TECHNICALITY OR APPEAL ISSUE, and it seems this could be a strong possibility. Can any of you imagine that?

This is show I feel, and I have to say, it isn't changing. I am sorry, and I know I am letting this amazing and wonderful group down.

I feel a very real and new sense of freedom, because whatever happens now, I am good with. That alone was worth it.

ETA The FBI profiler unequivocally states that Jodi IS a psychopath - that is so interesting to me that it has never been said in court. To this very day that baffles me.

When you look at those Flickr pics, there's 2 cameras listed between Apr/07(Canon / EOS Digital Rebel XTi [also known as EOS 400D, EOS Kiss X]) and Oct/07(Sony / Cyber-shot DSC-W7). Then there's that oddball pic from May/05 taken with an unidentified Digital Cam that definitely looks like TA was photoshopped into. Oh and no pics from the "broken" Olympus that she claims they'd taken some of their alleged video shoots with.

That is exactly how I feel at this point. Ive been preparing for some time that she may get just a life sentence. For me, its better not to have great expectations when it comes to something like this sentencing phase.

If she gets a life sentence, I think it will be due to a juror that thought they could be on a DP case and they had 2nd thoughts when the reality sunk in for them what they are fixing to do. I am afraid there are a lot of people that think they can give a DP sentence and yet when they finally have to sign the dotted line, they get cold feet and will look to any excuse to give a Life sentence instead. They will never admit the real reason they could not give the DP sentence. They will claim it was because of some other reason related to the State's case.

Its just how I feel as I tried to put myself in their shoes and I am betting there are quite a few people that would fall into this situation.

Which brings up a question. Could a juror excuse themselves with the judge and prevent a mistrial if they were honest with the judge to let them go and let the other jurors handle it?

Or would the juror be so afraid that he/she will cause a mistrial of sorts that the juror will hold it inside and keep his/her little secret and just stand firm that they think she should get life over death (but real reason is they just cant sign a DP verdict)?
