This photo looks like Travis was taking a selfie with himself centered. If she did add herself, as I believe, she messed up. The direction of the light is from the right. His bill on his cap should have made a shadow all the way down her face at an angle. Looking at her, the right side of her cheek (which should have been in shadow) is as light as her left. Also, take a look at the odd shading on her neck. Where would that light be coming from that caused the angular line of lighter skin on the front of her neck?

This photo looks suspect to me. If you enlarge you can see that her fingers look like they were drawn around with a brown color. Perhaps she was cut from one of her photos? Also, her right breast is oddly light compared to the rest of her coloring. It looks the same color as his chest. There are some photos that just not ring true to my eyes.

The snow scenes bother me where she is standing by herself and especially the 1 where her head is cocked off to 1 side and she is in a blue sweater and there is snow in background. Its like she was practicing cropping herself into scenes.

In that photo you are showing, the rock in the background looks flesh colored and not sure it is even a rock and maybe part of a body. But there is another scene from same area and she is in that 1 too so I am just not sure. If she did cropping, she had a lot of practice at it.

Recent versions of Photoshop make it easier, but in 2007 there were plugins that would do pretty well. OnOne makes a popular suite of image editing tools that would do really well with hair even back then. http://www.on1.com/products/suite9/

Those tools are/were probably pretty good, but I doubt you would be able to get anywhere near flawless results.

As a graphic designer with over 20 years experience with a major newspaper, I feel fairly well qualified to say that doing hair masks in anything other than Photoshop itself isn't going to give you professional quality results. Kind of like doing computer forensics with Autopsy rather than EnCase.

Just FYI, I recently saw a job posting for Discovery Communications International Headquarters, located in nearby Silver Spring, MD. The biggest job qualification had to do with being proficient in hair masks. I think that can give you an idea of just how specialized this skill is.

I agree this one looks odd. And there seems to be a body part in the background, to the right as you're looking at the photo. It doesn't seem to fit with JA or Travis, no matter how contorted they may be.

I'm still trying to figure out her teeth. In pre-arrest photos, they looked fairly even, but ever since, they're quite uneven, with her two front teeth seeming far too large in comparison to her other teeth. Was she using some kind of dental prosthetic?

I've also had issues with her teeth for a while.... 1) many of the photos that came from her seem to have been photo-shopped. There's one where only the teeth right in the front are nice and white. 2) I'm thinking she used a "flipper", like the kids do on "Toddlers and Tiaras".

Cosmetic enhancements to her teeth in the years before the murder may somewhat explain why Jodi's face now is all saggy. Teeth enhancements can also "plump out" the face around the mouth.

Jodi's eyes also seem to have been photo-shopped fairly often to get rid of the wandering in one of them.

In general, I think Jodi had a whole lot of facial "plumping out" going on in addition to other body enhancements.

I knew someone like her for a long time. One of her favorites was dropping hints. All the hints that you would need to figure out what really happened or what her part was in the event. It was like she got extra pleasure somehow by the other person being so stupid they could not figure out the truth, even when she had given them what they needed.

So, she snuggles up to him full body, clamps her hand on his clavicle, and takes ownership? She's out of his line of vision, too: I'll bet he has no real idea that she's trying to make an intimate-looking photo. Or else, he does know, and his expression clearly shows how unwilling he is to be participating in her BS.

Didn't the Freeman's testify about this trip? She was definatlely there...tried to take a bunch of make up in her backpack etc...

Yep. For those not aware (and apologies for being slightly O/T)...he was actually a law student and volunteered for a time at a suicide hotline alongside renowned true crime author and former cop Ann Rule. She was shocked when he was arrested in Florida and the truth came to light. She went on to write 'A Stranger Beside Me' about Bundy.

So, apart from being very smart, being adept at fitting in - even going a step beyond to show empathy in terms of his volunteer work, he was also known to be extremely charming. He secured many of his victims by wearing a cast and pretending to be a student in need of assistance carrying books to his car.

Knowing what we know now, everyone should have run at first sight of him. Yet, even when he was on trial in Florida for unspeakably brutal crimes he managed to get married (loophole in Florida law) literally right under the judge's nose. In court. While he was acting as his own attorney and his fiance was testifying. He was awarded conjugal visits and iirc, had a daughter.

It's truly mind boggling what he was able to get away with, for so long.

What I find unusual about that pic is, she's wearing a hat with sunglasses on the brim and her shoulders and hair are completely dry except for one end in the cleavage - how did she manage that when Travis' hair is completely wet? And what is that behind them? Looks like someone's shoulder?

First day of retrial, there is only one juror question for Melendez, and it's about the Helio/sex tape.... "Was the (call) recorded to an application on the laptop?" M: I don't know.

JM asked M if he had examined the Helio. Answer- no.

ETA. Hmm. JM also asked Flores whether the Helio was examined. No

I wonder if the jury remembers the trial kicking off one day 1 with porn on the computer and the Helio being brought up? I didn't.

Day 1 ended with Nurmi and JM arguing about the Helio at sidebar. JM stipulates authenticity of sex recording, but not that it was stolen.

Day 2 begins with Nurmi telling JSS he wants a mistrial because JM has questioned the authenticity of the sex tape. Nurmi told JM the State was apprised when the defense came in possession of the Helio in 2010. State's fault if it didn't choose to examine the Helio. Nurmi tells JSS if JM keeps it up the DT will ask that JM be called as a witness (I remember that part).

I think that is why the "photoshopping" is so good. She used a professional trainer.

I knew some of the photos looked "odd" but when I looked closely at the hair, I just didnt see how she could pull it off. But if she had a pro that taught her or was helping her, then yes. It would make perfect sense.

Yeah, teeth are pretty easy to deal with in Photoshop, and I agree that she did her best to enhance pictures of herself. Because, well, of course.

The eyes are another thing. For a while now I thought she wore tinted contact lenses at times, since in some photos you can actually see her pupils, not just pools of blackness. Now I'm thinking she changed the color of her irises in Photoshop. Hey, that's a cheap way to fix things...

This is the pic where I think she was practicing shopping herself in places. There is no way IMO she is in that snow scene. She doesnt look cold enough...lol

I think she would take pics like this with her head cocked so she could rest them on Travis shoulders.

Notice the left side of the pic where the hairline is straight and smooth. Obviously cut out from somewhere else. But she does add a nice touch of individual strands of hair.

This is a good example of proving that her photos were photoshopped. Matt did photoshop as a job. He could have showed her how when they were together. I still think she took photos of her and Travis together and photoshopped herself into photos of Travis's vacations.

Gosh, I'll bet you're so right, with your comment about Jodi photoshopping photos of herself and Travis together into [romantic] vacation spots. Otherwise, I can't really see when they did all that traveling! Maybe Jodi intended it to make it look like they were traveling so she could send the photos to the women he was dating?
