I've been following Monica Lindstrom for a while and I have a strong suspicion she is against the death penalty.

So am I (against death penalty).... do I get no love? :tears:

Of course you do and so does Monica. I couldn't take someone's life. Ya know, I couldn't be the executioner but I sure understand how the family feels.

But don't you just hate a criminal who, when they are caught, cry out that they are innocent and they never take responsibility? Instead she tries to blackmail the family by saying unless the DA gave her second degree then she would trash Travis?

A young boy was murdered in Louisville last week. Some journalist asked the dad of the victim what he was feeling. He said "just give me five minutes alone with the killer". I think that is the right of every victim of a crime and if the victim is dead, it is the right of the family to demand equal time with the killer. Just sayin.....

Oh, I despise criminals, don't get me wrong, and I believe in firm punishment (hecksssss, I am not opposed to forced labor). I just firmly believe the death penalty is morally wrong and barbaric, and I am not too empathetic with families who clamor for it, although I can understand their feelings of despair, loss, and grief ---

All I can say is that regardless of how she dies she will die in prison a far more humane death than her victim did. That isn't too fair in my book.....but in this country it is all we have.

We need someone like the great KCL who took notes and then went to painstaking efforts every night to give us every little thought she had and made us feel like we were there too! A lot to ask of someone. We need a team! If I lived even half way closer I would consider it…. but I have too many critters here at the farm to take off.

KCL will not be there as she has moved on. That trial sucked the life out of so many of us. Once the trial begins, I hope there will be more reporters there tweeting.
