@ericksonvision: For the uninitiated, when the judge confers with attorneys at the bench, "white noise" or "static" is piped in so we can't hear anything.

@ericksonvision: Guy made it through to the next round. Had a backbone and seemingly unintimidated. #jodiarias
Backbone or just the hots for Arias?

@ericksonvision: Whoa! Kid makes it through to next round. #jodiarias

EEK, that is scary. It sounds to me like he is a guy who wanted to be here FOR JA. I hope he gets booted.

Sounds like so far Jodi Is getting the jury she needs to get life. Anyone who dares to speak up about what she has done gets booted. Guess we all better get ready. Casey walked and Jodi gets life. JMO.
Yeah, it certainly looks that way. Yet, they have already dismissed at least 2 full panels of potential jurors that most likely would have given the death penalty, a lot of them last week when the judge failed to state that the convict is already guilty of first degree murder with aggravating factors.

Still in sidebar. Maria and #jodiarias are chit chatting while we sizzle.

What a weird question! I would think this was a non-issue, right? I mean, she has been found guilty ---there is no "Well, maybe" or whatnot. She is a convicted murderer #confuzionz

That's not a weird question at all. Juan has to make sure the jury accepts the verdicts of the previous jury. It's actually a pretty on point question. Any prosecutor would ask it and he's already asked several other people this. The judge and the state will make both these things clear to them. He's trying to make sure he doesn't have a stealth juror here. He's not just watching for the answer. He's watching for his demeanor as he says it. I think Juan has concerns about this guy.

@ericksonvision: Judge Sherry Stephens still conferring with the lawyers at the bench. We're still listening to the "white noise." #jodiarias

Willmott is an inch taller than Juan. Is someone heightening? #jodiarias

Can JA hear the sidebar discussions like she did in trial? ?

Still in sidebar. Thankfully I am not hungry. Judge seems pretty serious. I can hear her over the sizzle. #jodiarias

Someone tweeted earlier that they can tell jurors are just trying to get on the jury based on how they answer their questions. They'll flip flop based on what they think the lawyers want to hear. That is happening today. For instance, meek Mormon guy said he was against the death penalty and would judge testimony differently based on his belief. But later he said, well...I could give it if I had to.

This last guy, same thing. He said he's seen in the media people trying to sway the public to their side based on speculation. Sounds like he has an opinion there and isn't expressing it, fully. Getting on a jury is easy. Just say you can be fair and impartial. That kid already said he couldn't be and he still made it though?

Who do you think is more likely to lie to get onto a jury? Someone who thinks she deserves death or someone looking to give her life?

He is indeed effective, though I don't care for his style very much - I find him offensive and demeaning. I am though beyond impressed with his knowledge and his quick reflexes and deep knowledge of the law. My fave prosecutor is still Nell from the Oscar Pistorius trial. And the cutie pie from Michael Dunn's

Everyone has the style of DA they like I suppose. Juan is mine. He is serious and no nonsense from moment one until he is finally through. Instantly everyone knows he is serious and a warrior for the victim. Yes, he will fight tooth and nail. No one intimidates him nor should they. I like his quick sharp rapid questions. I like it when he shows passion and righteous indignation especially with some of the defense experts and Arias in the guilt phase.

We usually only see passion and drama on the defense side. Here its the opposite. We have a great Prosecutor with fire in his belly in the Arias case and a DT that puts most to sleep.

I have never seen a Prosecutor think so quickly on his feet. Nothing gets past him.

He is my favorite Prosecutor.

He is truly a bulldog no doubt when he fights for Travis and all the other victims before him and after. That is rather unusual since most DAs are rather mundane and drab in their presentation. Even just by standing up in the well of the court he has power and strength and commands attention. When he was speaking I hung onto every word he said. When the DT was up it was hard to keep my concentration and I became bored rather quickly.

IMO

Does anyone posting here TRUTHFULLY believe they could be impartial? If it really came down to it and you were chosen for the jury?

That's a tough one. I feel she deserves the DP because of how she killed Travis. Three times over. Even if I set that aside and listen to the evidence that's presented, wouldn't I still feel she deserves the DP for the same reasons? I'm not sure there's ANYthing Jodi or her defense team could say that I would consider a reasonable explanation/mitigating circumstance. I'd be willing to listen but would I be sent home too?

Is anyone covering Beth Kara's on her FB page? I don't know how and don't use twitter or Facebook.

Is Monica not a fan of JM? Why can't she just tweet the questions and responses?

I dislike the editorial Tweets more and more as we get further along in this experiment. I wish the reporters would save it for their radio shows, TV appearances and blogs. Some of the other reporters are doing a better job of keeping it to (mostly) just the facts and dialog.

Exactly how is this Twitter live blogging better for the defense team than live streaming video? Seems like we're getting MORE opinion, not less. Sheesh. I would have settled for audio.

Great question MeeBee. I don't have a clue. Never served on a jury. Just seems to me both could/would lie to meet their objectives.
