Why does every objection end up in side bar?
Can't the judge rule on her own?
:judge:
BBM: She never has had any confidence . . . and probably never will . . .

We'll see how feisty she remains.
I don't understand why the lawyers get so upset when Juan tells them to answer his yes or no questions with a yes or no and not to expound too much. That's what you're supposed to do in cross examination, right? Willmott did the same thing to Demarte, who said she couldn't answer a question with just a yes or no. So she didn't answer. Didn't hear Juan objecting going, "she won't let her answer!" That's what re-direct is for.

Sidebar. Witness doesn't understand questions, or can't hear questions. Martinez getting frustrated. #jodiarias

sidebar time. Martinez not waiting for answers, Fonseca not understanding the question, trying to get in explanations. #JodiArias
"We'll go at it, but I can't hear you" implies she's been coached by ALV.uke:

they want her to get something out, but it can bite them if she opens a door.
:seeya: I was thinking the same thing, Josie !
:notgood: She does NOT want to argue with Juan Martinez . . . :notgood:
Lol. And it's all you need. It's also a battlefield. And a many splendored thing. And a temple, a higher law, etc. I'm so confused.
Now this is where I really get upset with JSS. JM should be able to ask for yes or no answers, if his questions can be answered that way. And JSS should instruct the witness. But she allows a witness to actually say "Mr Martinez, we're goiing to go at it, but you'll have to speak up I can't hear you." And JSS's response is to tell JM to allow her to finish her answers????
