We are going over #JodiArias' former boyfriends.

She keeps those relationships going, they are important to her. Awwwww.

But the relationships themselves are erratic, unpredictable, conflict-ridden and Jodi has been victimized in each one of them. So, to a professional with experience in personality disorders, they'd quite possibly conclude that Jodi was deliberately remaining in contact so she had a reserve resource for narcissistic gain and potential manipulation.

A psychopath generally only discards people when there's nothing left to be gained from them. If they'd still offer her a place to stay, a loan, a good word to friends about her, or practically anything else she wanted, she'd never let them go willingly.
