Nurmi: if #JodiArias gets death, our (Nurmi and Wilmott) representation will get scrutinized for years.

Holy geez! Is this ALL about Nurmi and Wilmott and their reputations?

It's just hard to believe that two muck-dwelling, pervy, slimy lawyers can make such an unconstitutional thing happen in a court of law.

What kind of excuse is that??? She should have thought about that before she ruled.

...and all those objections, side bars, in chamber meetings ~ they sure ate a bunch of time also; and how long has this case been open?

Soooo does this mean the rest of the trial/witnesses be held behind closed doors, no media/public?

@william_pitts:

Nurmi: if #JodiArias gets death, our (Nurmi and Wilmott) representation will get scrutinized for years.

And there it is. It's about their reputation. That's all it is. None of this is necessary. They just don't like being criticized.

If you don't like being "criticized as a "defense attorney" -- then get another profession ... geez !

:tyou: MeeBee for the tweets !

Don't be surprised if 80% of the rest of the trial is held in secret.

There are two children that I can think that can possibly be involved in this:

- Brewer's son

- The child Travis allegedly chased around naked.

I still think it's the NZ witness.

From bombshell Nancey grace May 13 2013

There`s a photograph on my hard drive which my attorneys didn`t feel was relevant, but it`s a picture of him chasing around a naked 4-year-old boy with his Bible open, pretending to be a Catholic priest. I don`t know why. We were all hanging out. I thought it was silly at the time and I snapped the photograph. And at the time, I just thought he was mocking the Catholic church in poor taste, and then that was that.

But that was a year before I walked in on him. And so after that incident of walking in on him, I began to put all these things together, and that was one of the puzzle pieces that seems to make sense to me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What would have changed (ph)?

ARIAS: There was a man who saw me with bruises all over. I would have made every effort to find him, and they didn`t. There are other people who saw me with bruises, my friends, my sisters. And the defense didn`t call them for their own reasons. And I think that would have corroborated some of the things that I said.

On the hard drive that we just discussed, the one that was not part of my trial, I took pictures of myself during that time not specifically for that purpose, but just being on the road. And I just keep thinking maybe it was in that photo, tons of things.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Who does she think we are? We didn`t just fall off the turnip truck! She is looking at that camera -- PS, that is an interview from KSAZ just moments after Arias busted, found guilty of murder one. And she is looking right into that camera and lying, just the way she did on direct examination.

Did you hear what she said, Alexis Tereszcuk, senior reporter, Radaronline.com? She says, number one, that she has hard evidence, photographic evidence, a photo on her hard drive of her murder victim, Travis Alexander, literally chasing down a naked 4-year-old boy, that she wanted to bring into evidence. But those darn defense attorneys, it`s all their fault, according to her, that she has that on her hard drive. Thoughts?

Keep in in mind that LE did find a hard drive at Jodi's grandparents, but had been destoryed and they couldn't get anything off of it. And IIRC it was an external drive. One that you could carry with you on your trip, and maybe try to download something on Travis's computer? Like 🤬🤬🤬🤬?

ok... I've been following this case from day 1 of the first trial. It's not so easy to follow this time. The state closed with the victim impact statements? So the witness refusing to be named by media is for the defense?

I am completely gobsmacked. This kick at the Constitution is all about the DT. It's personal. Ye gods!

Don't they know their name is mud now? They lost and they can't stand that they lost, looks like.

Stephens says there is minimal harm to the media and public because video and transcript will be available after trial. Denied. #JodiArias

Weeeeellllll , then , the witness will be secret just for now? I don't understand.

I think that the anonymous witness is ALV, she is the one key person that has already testified on JA behalf, her expertise/testimony can possibly lend doubt/convince the jury that JA was indeed an abused woman from a dysfunctional family. Whereas it will add credence to JA long list of the battered woman abused child carp whilst simultaneously staying out of the spotlight, because as a public figure she would only continue to receive backlash if exposed once again publicly with her myriad of twisted truths.

But then I think about Juan and that theory goes out the window. We will just have to wait and see what this side show is all about.:waiting:

Yeah, all those sidebars, all those in camera hearings, endlessly. And now she wants to blame the lengthening of the trial on the media?

Appeal will be filed 1st thing Monday with high likelihood court makes initial ruling before #JodiArias trial starts. They know it's coming

Yes. It's a mitigation witness for JA.

She did state that "she would not testify at the 2nd trial".

I am starting to think this could be the case. She said she feared for her life and her testimony, some think, adds doubt (I don't, I think ALV is a LIAR, but I digress).

Funny enough, she has to know this video will be played after, but I don't think she is the brightest bulb, honestly.

:gaah: Yep, rose ... will NOT be surprised !

BUT -- there is still the Court of Appeals whose rulings we await !

And I sure hope the appellate court will rule in favor of the CITIZENS of Arizona -- who are paying for this "sham" of a trial -- and rule in favor of the Media !
