I hope they do get to testify. When the Hughes sent the emails Jodi was going to their house unannounced and uninvited without Travis whining about him all the time. They were the ones that got to see a lot of Jodi's creepy antics firsthand.

And now that she has been convicted they might be able to say more about some of these other behaviors than they could have in the original trial.

Let's not forget, the Hughes' are big time Mormons and operate under a different moral code than most others of that age range. They were also very commitedly married at the time so looking at Travis through that lens. I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying how I would argue this to a jury of Mormons/non Mormons. To the non Mormons Iwould think Travis as a young handsome single man looked pretty normal.

Exactly. Being a serial "heartbreaker" in most Christian circles, even if no purity boundaries are crossed, is viewed as a fault, not a tribute. Raising expectations and then dashing them isn't something fine young men take pride in. I doubt there's a "player culture" among devout single Mormons.

I agree. Through their eyes, for some reason, dating around and not committing young to women and deciding not to settle is wrong. There is nothing wrong or abusive with not wanting to marry every girl you have feelings for and who wants to marry you. Travis was waiting for the right girl. And? That's just how they viewed the world and they thought they were being good friends. I don't judge them. They had also been duped by Jodi.

Here's the thing. Travis did not navigate that terrible childhood unscathed. He WAS a Mormon and WAS successful and popular and DID exceed anyone's expectations and he was also still scarred and imo, the arena of women/sex is where he was still quite immature and affected. And he was still working on himself. I can relate to him more than you know.

#JodiArias Dr F trying to connect with jury. Two women in the front row don't make eye contact.

I think both Sky and Chris Hughes can stand up well to any cross examination. They loved Travis like a brother and sometimes you get frustrated with your siblings. Especially when their bad choices land a needy sociopath in your lap inadvertently. They were stuck having to deal with Jodi and I'm sure that frustration leaked out on Travis.

perfectly stated!

Instead of acknowledging Nurmi repeatedly saying the words "Booty Call"... Oh, I can't because he just said it for the 6th time. #JodiArias

#JodiArias just a "booty call" being added to TDogg as Nurmi mantra

Fonseca says being with someone who wants to keep it secret affects self-esteem.

Expert's full name, incidentally, is Dr. L.C. Miccio-Fonseca.

Ya putting that out there Kiefer hoping someone will track her down and write her an email saying they hope she chokes on a chicken bone so you can write another article about how she's being stalked, harassed and threatened with her life? Blech

Travis said Chris and Sky Hughes always called #jodiarias Deanna. Hughes said they did it to open her eyes #3tvarias

I see what he's doing. He's going for the snapped defense and the reason she snapped when others wouldn't have is she was mentally ill and didn't handle rejection well.

"I'd better rent a non-red car and use these gas cans to hide ever being in AZ and flip my plates and steal a gun from my grandparents to bring just in case I happen to snap while I drop in on the love of my life."

I remember seeing the Hughes on Dr. Drew explaining that the emails were based on lies JA told them and the DT was twisting everything - they were yearning for a chance to get the truth out.

#JodiArias identified as just another of Travis "victims" another one being "gutted in his wake" Chris Hughes says in email

BBM

Talk about creepy, JM will probably cross with the photo of TA's throat at this point.

I think the young women on the jury are thinking, "Plenty of men have treated me worse than this (#2 on his MySpace lol) and I didn't kill any of them."

I know right.

At first, when the jury begins to listen to what is being said, they first begin to wonder if Jodi may have had a compelling reason to be super mad at Travis. Then as this nonsense testimony dribbles on, they take a step back and think.....WAIT A MINUTE HERE, Jodi stabbed Travis over 20 times and shot him in the head. For what? Because the relationship was all about sex and not very loving.

Get this lady off the stand and where is that electric chair.

The Hughes acknowledge that Jodi was in love with Travis. She had undying love in her eyes #jodiarias #3tvarias

Agree 100%. The Mormon Church encourages marriage at a young age (remember you can only belong to a "singles" ward until a certain age) and the Hughes probably just didn't understand not settling into marriage early and quickly.

Didnt I read somewhere that the Hughes are the ones that are now planning or in the process of writing a book about Travis?

Yes they have already written the book but they will not release it until after the sentencing has been determined.

Chris Hughes surprised that Alexandeer was so interested in #JodiArias. "I really believed she was your next victim."

Chris Hughes on #JodiArias to Travis Alexander: "I really like you and I really like her."

I'm remembering that awkward moment when Deanna Reid was on the stand and Nurmi handed her an e-mail that Travis had written to a friend (Chris?) about their (Travis and Deanna's) affair. When questioned by Nurmi, Deanna stated that she had never seen the e-mail and managed to stay very composed as it was read. In that message, Travis said he felt sorry for having dated Deanna so long when she should be getting married. It insinuated that Travis used her/deflowered her and knew what he was doing. Perhaps that is the "victimization" the Hughs are referring to.
