Nurmi is going torturingly SLLOOOWWWWW with these e-mails. And they don't even say anything that bad. Basically just that Travis had a tendency to flirt a lot, sometimes led women on, and he tried to keep JA as his dirty lil secret because she agreed to do so herself. So what?

Such a good point. I know I don't and I'm not a prude, by any stretch of the imagination. I don't want to hear about my friends sex lives either. I'm also a victim of childhood sexual abuse... it kind of taints everything for me that way.

I know right. Books have been written about it. Movies have been made. "He's not that into you." "Think like a man". A mistake some women make, and I'm not judging, since I've made mistakes too.. Is jump into one of these friends-with-benefits relationships, thinking that the guy will eventually fall in love with you because you're great at sex and a 3 hole wonder. In JA case, I don't think it was a mistake - it was a well thought out plan. I'm going to hook him with sex. He's not going to be able to go back to "vanilla sex" after me. He's going to marry me. And when it didn't work she decided that if she couldn't have him, no one would.

I don't think the Hughes realized that JA was just using them to guilt Travis into committing to her, they didn't start figuring her out until they found her outside the door listening in on their conversation.

Iirc, her listening at their bedroom door was after the baptism which was early in the relationship. I thought these emails came later. This trial has gone on so long I have brain fog.

JM: That was arranged by the previous defense Counsel which she has has confirmed. She's the one over there glaring at Mr N.
JSS: Mr N?
KN: Well that that proves my client had ineffective defense counsel and that the state did not protect evidence, so my client should walk free today.
JSS: Shut up Mr N and call your next witness.

Okay it wasn't exactly like that, but that gives the flavor of it.
