Lol CARIIS at "Weathergate" :giggle:

ETA: Oops sorry I meant to quote CARIIS' post talking about the pilot knowingly flying helter skelter into bad weather without a care in the world. (Which I don't believe he did.)

I have had flight times moved to earlier times, with plenty of email notice. It has happened to us a couple of times over the years when traveling to Queensland from South Australia for a holiday. Don’t know why they did it though. They don’t explain that in the email notification.

When they have done that to our flights, they have bombarded us with emails and texts, and they don't stop until you call in and confirm that you have received the notice of change.

thanks! didn't know that this was very common event

Yes the tail being found must be official. I went from 10-15 new tweets about airasia every few minutes to 159 new tweets in the last few minutes lol.

bbm: ...... unusual isn't it? have been delayed many times but making it earlier is odd unless there were more flights scheduled for that aircraft that day?? MOO & guess on my part?

Actually come to think of it ….not that unusual for low cost carriers to merge flights depending on pax numbers to utilise their equipment to the maximum.

Yay! They found the tail!!! They are showing photos of it underwater on CNN right now!!!

It's a good thing I'm not an air traffic controller because I would have let QZ8501 climb to 38,000' after looking at the Airflight map & the other planes in the area and their altitude and location at the time. jmo

I'm glad they found the tail! Now how will they get to it or haul it up from the sea?

Awesome. I guess it is upside down in the water per the picture.

CNN is showing other pictures of the upside down A on the tail but I can't find it online to post grrrrr

Would these already be in "advanced stage of decay" though?
I thought that the water would help preserve them a bit?

I swear... if they start finding parts of MH370 at the same time...
I am going to be like :panic: :scared: :overreaction:

This is such great news after all the horrific things that have happened with this disaster. Finding the tail and hopefully the black boxes will give everyone answers! Hallelujah!

I think the bodies from MH370 would be skeletons long buried in the silt, but wouldn't it be something if they found part of the wreckage?

Yes. The water is warm and it actually will cause a rapid decomposition of a body. I won't go into details, but it will be increasingly more difficult on the recovery people as the days go forward. Not pretty.

I would love for them to find anything from MH370. It would be quite a miracle for those families. This has to be just awful for them and watching how quickly things are happening must be so hard.
