*REVISIT* Could We Have Gotten a Confession from Casey?

yes...whether you like CA or not, or think KC is a murderer or not, 'a liar does not a murderer make' is technically a very true statement.

i'm sure we've all done things we're not proud of, but we aren't all murderers, or burglars, or rapists because of those things.

casey may be guilty as sin, i'm the first one to admit that that's possible. but saying that lying=murder is like stealing=child molesting. i don't think CA had 'bollocks' to say it, i think she meant it.

the problem with casey is more the nature of her lies directly regarding the case, because it obviously puts her in a not-so-great light, to put it mildly.

This case has gotten so out of control, and over blown. Really, it's very simple... all Casey has to do is talk, truthful and meaningful talk. This could be over tomorrow.

She has, had, or could have had the support of LE and the FBI to go in, watch these supposed perpetrators, and get her child - with basically no effort, this is what they are trained to do.

This balogna about fearing for Caylee's life, the families life etc is crap! Does she or her family HONESTLY think that with all this hoopla, if this kidnapping story was true, that NOW with all that's going on, they are just going to hand her back over? Anyone bad enough to kidnap, would have no problem recognizing the liability of holding onto Caylee and would be done with it. NOT talking is putting her in more danger than talking - simple. It's really THAT simple!

I can't even wrap my mind around this anymore. I am a mother and educated person, and yes, if some big bad evil person who kidnapped my children (in broad daylight, right in front of me, while their kids were present too???) told me that I had to follow a script or lives were in danger - it would cross my mind that talking could harm them - but logic would prevail and I would quickly come to terms with - WHAT KIND OF LIFE WOULD THEY LEAD WITH BIG BAD EVIL KIDNAPPERS WHO THREATENED LIVES?? and talking and risking their death would surely be preferrable over NOT KNOWING WHERE THEY WERE and WHAT EVILS AND TORTURE COULD COME TO MY BABIES. So I would come to quick senses and contact authorities who are trained for this sort of thing.

It's really REALLY a simple case. The actions by the family and the mother are not logical. You can explain anything away if you talk long enough. Truth is basic. Logic is basic. Truth and logic make sense without elaborate stories and reasons. Stop thinking with emotion and think logically.

I don't know who killed Caylee, but she is dead - and the mother could stop this whole circus in an instant if she would stop leading the country on this wild goose chase. Like she did when she was leading LE around Universal - all she needs to do now is stop, turn around, and finally, finally admit she's not been honest. Logic people, let's get back to logic.

As one poster said it is all about POWER with Casey. Right now she is getting just what she wants. ATTENTION !!! And LOTS of it. She is a STAR. A star of her own show and of her own making. The only thing that is going to make Casey talk is IF we all stop paying any attention to her. Is that going to happen? Probably not. The best thing that could happen is she get put in jail, out of the public eye, and everyone stop worrying about Casey, or when she is going to talk. We know she won;t. NOT until she feels everyone has lost interest in her and she is no longer in the limelight. I am just as guilty as everyone else with giving in to her need to be the center of attention. This is an aggravating case. I truly beleive Caylee is decesed. I also beleive Casey is the hand that did it. Not sure whether she had an accomplice, but if I was a betting woman I would bet my life on it. However until LE finds out who this accomplice is, then they have no leaverage for getting Casey to talk. If they find this accomplice, they can play Casey against accomplice. I have an idea of who it is, but it is only my opinion. I find it very weird that the the Anthony family (George ,Cindy and Lee) are willing to allow Caylee be missing forever(dead or alive) and never knowing for sure what happened to her, rather than turning their back on Casey and making her rethink her decision to not tell them the truth. Perhpas she already has. Maybe that is why they are so adamant to stand behind Casey. If they know Caylee is dead, what else do they have to hold on to but trying Casey out of jail? They need to get Casey in jail, out of the public eye, and once she and her family are no longer headline news, one of them will start crying wolf. I strongly beleive the Anthony's all already know where Caylee is. Also where are all the extended family members? The grandparents, the aunts, uncles etc? I find it very odd that no one except Cindy's brother, has come forward and talked about the family and what they think happened. Or the grandparents not pressing charges for the theft. I doubt very seriously Casey will ever be charged and convicted of murder. I beleive we will be lucky to get a manslaughter conviction out of her. However the more fraud and theft charges she gets added (come on grandparents, file them charges) then the more time she will actually spend in jail. I would like to see them bury her under the jail. JMO

I think the case will be thrown out for lack of evidence. But as you say, the other charges may put her into prison for awhile.

It almost seems to me in addition to feeling the power from everyone's attention, she may be feeling the power of revenging herself on those who put her in prison if she gets out.

I don't care if KC talks. I know all she would do is lie. I beleive in science. I am convinced that LE will get the goods on her, body or no body. She spent how many days alone in jail her first trip and never said a word.

What was it, something like 35 days?

Solitude isn't about to cut it with Casey - she proved that theory wrong.

The secrecy protecting the kidnappers had been violated. There was no offending the criminal's prohibition against going to the police because they came to her. Even if Casey's purported anxiety about this had been real, it had to collapse now and it was time to use all agencies and resources of the law. Listen to the tapes for what she did instead. As usual her justifications make no sense at all. She was a seated living insult during those interrogations and Embarrassment never heard from her. I am curious what ideas people might have on ways to get Casey to talk. I mean strategies or "set-ups"--(short of torture) that would get her to confess.

I say put her in general population while in jail. Let the inmate/moms that can't see their kids and have broken hearts, beat it out of her.

This would about do it-she would confess to get out of general population. Even in solitary she is receiving attention because it makes her feel special, imo.

OR if one of her men were shown to have moved on.....workin' thorough a thought here. I mean it seems clear she does not have much success holding on to the males in her life....

Why should she talk? She doesn't think she did anything wrong - if I had the choice on what to do, I'd keep it business like, I'd let her know what the trial will say and tell her I hope she enjoys prison life because that is where she will be living for the rest of her life - leave it at that - everyone should just take the emotion out of talking to her, because she seems to thrive on other peoples emotions - when that is taken out of the mix she doesn't have anything

So the question is "How does one reach a sociopath's conscience?" Well, it is impossible because they do not have one. There is no way to reach into KC's heart, because she doesn't have one. You may as well talk to a brick.

It is no big deal. Whether she talks or stays mum, the result for her will be the same. Jail for many, many years. All the good years, the young years - spent in jail. So be it. She has no feelings for her child although we wish she did. CA and GA have been dealing with this for a long time, trying to reach a human inside of her, but there isn't one there.

So, KC keep your mouth shut, we do not care really. There isn't anything left of Caylee to bury anyway, so the searches are off. Stay mum and rot in jail. That is the best we can hope for.

I don't think she's even close to the point where she's THINKING about Caylee.

Right now, her focus is on whether she'll be able to get away with Caylee's DEATH.

As long as people are defending her & repeating her crazy lies about a kidnapper... why on earth would she EVER consider telling the truth? No way.
