In the thread on what Jr. saw it mentions ski mask by one of his grandmothers.

Why can't they find Chad??? He has to be somewhere. They need to change it to POI and get his picture out more.

I wonder if they pulled video from the Walmart that Chad was at to see if he bought anything, like say a ski mask? I would hope they have the video from that day/night.

Not sure. I just read about this today in the what JR. saw thread. The only thing I heard before was "man in black" but maybe after questioning him they determined he wore a ski mask? Interesting to say the least. If he wore a ski mask then he most definitely wore gloves and that could be why they haven't reported finding fingerprints.

On the flip side if he entered the room to take Haleigh with the mask on I surely imagine she would have screamed out of fear or at least made some noise if she was awake. That's if she was awake. There's always the possibility that she slept through the abduction until he got outside with her.

On another topic has it been mentioned if perps trail was visual outside? It seems like the ground would track fairly well to get a shoe print off it. Has any of this been mentioned? Shoe prints found?

Media reported that Amy said Chad called her from the Walmart area and said the car wouldn't start. If I remember correctly the Walmart is not that far from his mothers house. When Amy got to Walmart Chad and the car were gone. If he got the car started why didnt he just go home. Media reported that Amy said she found the car later...not sure how much later...in Sumter county.
How accurate that report is is anybodys guess, but if Chad was not going to run why not just go home. Also I haven't seen if that is a 24 hour walmart or not, and I believe that Chad was there late at night. JMO

If this is a WalMart Super Center, then there is video tape of the parking lot. There should also be a security vehicle making rounds on the parking lot at regular intervals during the day and night. We have a WalMart Super Center here and if I go there, it is usually around 10:00 PM on a Sunday night because I hate crowds! I always see the security vehicle making rounds.

There should have been a video of the parking lot that night. I hope LE did ask for it because I've no idea how long they have to keep it or when it may have been taped over.

I suppose it's not unheard of, but unless it's way back in the corner of walmart in the sporting goods/camping section, I can't imagine them stocking ski masks.

Not much call for that kind of thing down here. Maybe at an Army-Navy store?

No, but previously I had read/heard/seen that one of the "items of interest" found was a child's footprint. [Father has confirmed her shoes were still in house.] I would thiink a prowler would've left shoe prints, too, if the sand was that soft at that spot. [Alas, of course, we have no idea where the footprint was found.]
