He must have killed himself in his unit, and they only found him when they got the search warrant.

Sometimes this is the best way because people willing to kill people they don't know and do it in this way usually have zero remorse. It would be in the news for years to come as he fought the DP and we'd have to hear all about how awful the police are and how nothing was done right and on and on. Now he's gone and I feel like he left plenty of evidence of his motive. I'm glad we don't have to see him all over the news for years to come putting the living victims in this case through hell all over again. IMO

I’m thinking about the terror attack in Sydney and was thinking earlier how I wished both assailants had perished so the victim families and survivors don’t have to re-live the trauma vis a vis trial and concomitant media attention.

Man suspected in shooting at Brown University has been found dead in New Hampshire, AP source says

A man who is suspected of killing two and wounding several others at Brown University has been found dead in New Hampshire storage facility, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

Yes you have a point. Further suffering for the victims' families. I just wanted this murderer to rot in prison.
However I hope that his death brings a little bit of solace to the families and loved ones, which is the foremost sentiment.
